River flat off-grid camping on a spacious 10-acre parcel of land, with private access to Hopkins Creek and Maitland River. Enjoy the expansive and peaceful campsite with great scenic views, private nature walking trails, fishing in the creek and river, bird and wildlife watching. There is even a bald eagle's nest within view of the campsite! Plenty of space for lawn games. Four-legged friends are certainly welcomed and campfires are permitted. Local attractions include: - Beaches in Goderich: Sunset Beach, Goderich Main Beach, St. Christopher's Beach, Rotary Cove Beach, Black's Point Beach - Beaches in Bayfield: Bayfield Pier Beach, Howard Street Beach, Houston Heights Beach - Road cycling through beautiful, rural scenery and diverse landscapes through Huron County - Fishing in Hopkins Creek or in the Maitland River - Canoe or kayaking in Maitland River (if water levels allow) - Hiking trails nearby: Lobb Trail, Falls Reserve Conservation Area, Bannockburn Conservation Area, Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area, Menesetung Bridge / Tiger Dunlop Trail, Maitland Trail / G.A.R.T. - Craft breweries: Stone House Brewing Company, River Road Brewing and Hops, Bayfield Brewing Company - Farmer's markets: Bayfield Farmers' Market (Fridays 3-7), Goderich Farmer's Market (Saturdays 8-1)

Secluded River Flats Camping
Janet is a great host! We have been camping at the “secluded river flats” campsite for the past 3 years now and we always have a great time! It is a well kept area, nice and private, the right distance from Goderich, and Janet always messages right back if you have any problems or questions! We look forward to camping again next year!

The property is amazing for camping with friends and there’s lots of things to do nearby as well. We enjoyed our stay on Janet’s property and would definitely recommend it!

Secluded River Flats Camping
Large spacious private setting.
This campsite was nice and large, and very private. It has a clean outhouse and nice amenities like a BBQ with table, a cooking grill for the fire pit, and some chairs with cushions. I loved the tranquil and natural surrounding, but it also has nicely kept lawn areas where you could spread out and play games. It’s a short drive to town and the beach, which we also got to enjoy. I would definitely go back again!

Secluded River Flats Camping
This place was perfect for myself and my friends, very well kept and an amazing property. We had the best time, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to spend time with friends or family. There was plenty of room for anything you would need or want to do. Will definitely be going back soon!!

Secluded River Flats Camping
Perfect Spot!
We had a great weekend at Janet’s property. Plenty of room for us to set up a few tents and let the kids run around. The site had everything we needed, the outhouse was very clean, and the BBQ, table and chairs were a nice addition. We will definitely plan to come back!
