Escape to our peaceful riverfront retreat on the beautiful Shuswap River in Grindrod, BC. Relax on the cottage deck while ducks and geese drift by, watch eagles fishing along the river, or catch sight of a solitary heron stopping at the sandbar for its evening meal. Our newly renovated detached cottage offers all the comforts of home—simply bring yourselves and your personal belongings. The cottage features: • Separate bedroom with a king-size bed • Sectional sofa that converts into a double bed • Fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans • Built-in dishwasher • Full-size fridge with ice and water dispenser • Full-size electric stove with oven • Natural gas fireplace • Apartment-sized washer and dryer The river is only steps from the cottage. After the river peaks around mid-June, the water level drops and the current slows, making it ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, or canoeing. By July and August, the river warms up and becomes perfect for swimming, floating, or simply relaxing in the water. We are surrounded by organic farms, local farm stands, and farmers’ markets offering fresh, locally grown produce. Nearby attractions include: • Enderby Farmers’ Market – Friday mornings • Armstrong Farmers’ Market – Saturday mornings • Unique shops, cafés, and restaurants in Enderby • Farmer John’s Market, only a few kilometers away, where you can watch the dairy cows and enjoy delicious ice cream cones • Enderby Drive-In Theatre featuring current movie releases • Hiking at the Enderby Cliffs Outdoor enthusiasts will love the location. The North Okanagan–Shuswap Rail Trail is less than 300 metres away, making it perfect for biking, e-biking, or scenic walks away from traffic. If you enjoy hiking, the popular Enderby Cliffs trailhead is only a 15-minute drive away, with many additional hiking opportunities throughout the Shuswap region. Winter visitors will also find plenty to enjoy, including cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowmobiling opportunities located between 15 minutes and one hour from the cottage. It has a separate bedroom with a new comfy king bed and mattress, with quality linens and duvet. An apartment sized washer & dryer are included for your convenience. The sectional sofa pulls out into a double bed to accommodate sleeping for 2 people. Puzzles, games, library for your use. Summer activites on the river include canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or floating down the river is just steps away from your door. The new North Okanagan-Shuswap Rail Trail is approximately 300 meters from our property where you can enjoy biking safely for many kilometers. The famous Enderby Cliffs is about a 15 minute drive if you would like a great hiking challenge. Access to Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, and Downhill skiing are within 15 minutes to an hour drive from our location. The Shuswap area has many developed hiking trails

A True Fairytale :)

Rivers Breeze Cottage Retreat

100000/10 recommend! The hosts Deb and Joe made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. From thoughtful recommendations, to taking pictures for us, and even sending us over a basket of fresh garden veggies. We got engaged during our stay, something that will remain in our hearts forever. We would have it no other way!! The cottage is beautiful, well stocked, clean, and convenient for a short or longer stay as we had. The fully equipped kitchen with complimentary coffee made for a lovely touch as we are caffeine fiends. An A/C unit in the bedroom was graciously welcomed as it was peak summer heat! The property is stunning and well maintained. Lots of birds to watch while you have a coffee in the morning, from eagles to hummingbirds. Gorgeous view of the river. Speaking of, the river was clean, clear, with a slow current, all sand, and a beach on the other side of the island(easily accessible)! Truly amazing for a swim, float, and sunbathing during the hot summer weather. Many cute spots nearby in the area to grab ice cream or go on adventures. We enjoyed the Friday morning farmers market in Enderby, Margaret Falls, feeding baby cows at Farmer Johns market, and many more. Deb and Joe have cultivated the perfect paradise for a relaxing and romantic getaway as well if a slow and steady pace is your vibe (it is ours for sure!). The peace and comfort we felt during our stay was unmatched. A perfect vacation and we will absolutely be returning again.

Rivers Breeze Cottage Retreat

If you're looking for a place that feels more like a home than a rental, this is it! The cottage was immaculate and stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was more thoughtfully prepared than anywhere else we've booked. Little extras like bubbles and beach toys for our kids showed just how much care goes into hosting here. Deb and Joe went above and beyond, sharing homemade desserts and fresh produce straight from their garden. Their warmth made all the difference. By the end of our stay, it genuinely felt like we were visiting old friends rather than staying at a rental property. Five stars isn't enough. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Rivers Breeze Cottage Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the River Cottage, and highly recommend it! The hosts are incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful. The pics don't tell the story. The cottage is delightful—super clean, comfortable had everything we needed and more and more. If you are into peacefulness, birds and nature / trails then this is the place for you. Aside from relaxing at the cottage and watching the birds and river float by, we enjoyed swimming at Mara lake, eating Haksap berries, visiting the Cardiff Miller Art Warehouse and our dinner at Small Axe Roadhouse. Thank you, we really appreciated our relaxing stay!
