We have several peaceful campsites available on our 175-acre property - some with beautiful escarpment views, and some amongst the peaceful surrounds of the bush.
We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 660m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam.
There are 2 separate campsites on the hilltop, one at each end.
We also have 3 secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset.
We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it.
It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest.

Deep Dime

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay.
Creekside Camp (our main camping area)
is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area.
We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them.
Our place is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

Located on 250 acres, Empty Pockets farm is a cattle and crop farm on mixed country from rolling hills to tree lined creek banks.
Privacy is guaranteed with a number of spacious sites available along two seasonal creeks and one site overlooking rolling hills and distant mountains.
As a working cattle farm there are often inquisitive calves around.
There are tracks right around the property for walking and exploring. You may see some of the local wildlife which include Rat Kangaroos and possums (both nocturnal), tree goanna, wallabies, echidna and many bird species.
Located only 30 minutes from the beautiful Bunya Mountains and Coomba Falls. Motocross Mountain is 8km away and we are 5km from the Yarraman Rail Trail which is popular for mountain bike riding. Plenty of options for exploring or just stay, relax and unwind.
We are pet friendly however we ask that dogs are kept on a leash.
Season produce from the farm may be available for purchase depending on the season.
Firewood is free from designated locations.
We request that guests leave a zero footprint which means you need be self sufficient with your own toilet/shower facilities and all waste and rubbish is taken with you on departure.

Peach Creek Retreat

If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We are setting things up as we speak and at the moment we have potable bore water, electricity connection, kitchen table and bench outdoor setting, kitchen water tank with fire pit/BBQ, enclosed shelter and starlink WiFi.
We are planning on offering activities that will include yoga and meditation at a later stage. There is an old shed with a rustic firepit, which guests can use during their stay. Firewood is available at additional cost, otherwise there's plenty of free kindling and wood around the place.
We have a basic bucket toilet at the moment, until we build a new one. We have a basic camp shower. Will be building a proper toilet and shower shortly.
Electricity pole is available to campers behind the shed in the top right corner of the property, when facing the main road. If you need continuous power for your caravan, please book a powered site. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc.
Coffee is available upon request, at additional cost. Other cooking implements and tools can also be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed.
Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Please do not set up camp around the shed, as this is being used by other guests.
Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners.

There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy.If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout.You will need to be fully self contained as we have no showers or toilets available. Campers will need to take all waste with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

About
Rainforest-clad peaks shelter the largest stand of ancient bunya pines in the world. Discover cool mountains, rainforests and waterfalls, unique range-top grasslands, panoramic views, colourful birdlife and enthralling stories of times long ago.
Ancient bunya pines give this cool mountain rainforest park its name. Queensland’s Aboriginal people have gathered here for centuries, and its popularity with campers is well deserved. Waterfalls, panoramic views, and rich birdlife are all here, just three hours’ drive northwest of Brisbane on narrow, winding mountain roads. The nearest towns are Kingaroy and Dalby, while Dandabah offers a general store, café, and picnic areas. There are three national park camping grounds, and more than 35 kilometres of walking tracks open the forests to hikers and campers.

Tips for snagging a campsite

When to go
The annual Bunya Dreaming Festival, run by local Aboriginal people, is held on January 26. Mountain temperatures are generally 7-10 degrees (Celsius) cooler than those on the coast, with winters dropping to freezing point. Always pack warm clothing, even in summer. In winter, expect mist, heavy fog, and rain. Between December and March, giant bunya nuts—weighing up to 10 kilograms—can fall from the Bunya pines, so avoid standing or parking under them during this time.
