We had an amazing experience, beautiful facilities, friendly staff, very clean and well maintained campsites. The beach is absolutely perfect, along with the star gazing and campfires. We will definitely be back! 10/10 experience

We camped during the week mid August and were lucky to have the tenting area and beach largely to ourselves. The sand beach is awesome and free use of kayaks, canoes was great. Staff escorted us to our site and dropped our firewood off later. Jason was great! Bring your own potable water or for us a solar shower kit from Canadian tire hung in a tree worked well for washing hands. Beach was a few steps away and waterfront visible from our campsite. Flushing toilets and showers were a couple minutes drive away but OK for us. Porta potty was nearby. Shower building is newer in trailer sites area. No hooks in shower area for my bag but I used a hook of the shower curtain. An extra privacy curtain would be a good idea for the area outside the shower hall area since there's a straight line of sight when the exterior door opens. For this reason, once my shower was done I changed inside my shower. Wall hooks and/or shelves would be a good addition for shower kits/backpacks with change of clothes/towels.

Overall the camp was clean and fairly quiet. Where it fell short for us was the conditions of the bathrooms. No water for showers and bathrooms were not clean. Part of the issue was groups of children using bathrooms for water fights. Sad really as this is a well established campground - again different from what we expected.

My boyfriend and I had a great time! Perfect location for anyone who likes to get out on the water. My boyfriend has done a lot of camping (I have not) and it was perfect for both of us. Portapotties are easily accessible, we were told showers were available if needed, firewood for sale on site and we even rented a power outlet box that came in handy! We got lucky and the park was pretty empty no one near us which was a plus. Even if it were a busier weekend, we would still return. Staff were also very nice! Jason (I believe was his name) was very friendly and very helpful as well as anyone else we came across during our weekend. 10/10

Beaver’s Bend 3
We stayed at one of the Beavers Bend and it was a great time! Very quiet spot perfect to get away from city life. The sites weren’t as private from one another as we expected, but still good.
Lucas (who was managing the grounds) was a great host and very helpful during our stay.
They also offered access to multiple hiking trails of varying difficulty and a beach with kayaks/canoes for use.
Only reco would be to pack bug spray!

This campground is wonderful, nice sites , beautiful beach and close to town as well as Algonquin park. Price is competitive with other campgrounds for a full serviced site.

The property was great! Lots of spots to choose from. We stayed in the Shady Grove area and the sites were semi-private but the weekend we stayed there we were alone and it was great. The beach is beautiful! The property was easy to find and checking in was hassle free. Would absolutely go back with more friends.

We had a great time. Beautiful trails and beach. Jason and the rest of the staff went above and beyond make sure we were comfortable. Site was very large. FYI the hydro and water hook ups are at the front of some of the sites not the back.

I recently booked a camping site at the beach site for winter camping and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, the pathways were extremely muddy and wet, causing our car to get stuck not once, but twice. Despite attempting to contact the host for assistance, we received no response, neither through messaging via hipcamp nor at the front building.
Regrettably, we had to turn around and leave due to these conditions and safety concerns. Subsequently, we reached out to the host requesting credit/discount for a future visit when their pathways were dry enough to drive (msgd via hipcamp) but received no reply at all. This lack of communication and resolution left us feeling frustrated and disappointed with our overall experience.
In summary, our winter camping experience for camping for beach site was marred by poor conditions, lack of host responsiveness, and failure to address our concerns. We hope that the management takes steps to improve communication and site maintenance for future guests. Or atleast make it very clear to bring only 4x4 during wet months.

My dad and I booked a site last minute for the last couple nights of our annual camping trip and it did not disappoint. Jason was super friendly and accommodating with a later checkout. The beach was beautiful and loved the included kayaks and canoe. Will definitely be back next year!

Samson my dog & I had an amazing time here! From cooking over a fire, to hiking to the lookout - every step was a breath of fresh air and absolutely gorgeous! The beach is a great add on with the canoes, kayaks and beach chairs! The fire pit on the beach would be nice with a bunch of people! I would def recommend and I will be back!

I enjoyed the view and the nice sceneries at sunset beach 8 site. Kayaking was fun and hope to return next summer as well.
However, few important things to consider as below.
1. Washrooms : mobile ones and make sure to bring cleaning wipes, disinfection sprays etc.
2. Outpower : this will help you charge your phones and small flash lights. Don’t expect to use the outpower for kettles or electric burners as it doesn’t work for high voltage equipments.
Hopefully, there will be shower areas and flush toilets available by next summer. So that, the experience will be more comfortable.
