The park grants convenient access to nearby epic dune forests. Seven hundred and twenty three acres of wetlands, white sand beaches and forest make this environment a perfect place to explore nature at its finest. If you want the best of both worlds, venture a short five miles outside of the park and enjoy Caseville, a town full of entertaining special events as well as access to kayak and canoe rentals. If you want to âSleepâ under the moon, snag a site at the modern campground and pitch a tent or rent a mini-cabin. If you canât live without the web, donât fret. Wi-Fi access is available to campers. You probably wonât need it though, flower child.
The ideal time to visit Sleeper State Park is during the summer months, when the weather is warm and the lake's waters invite swimmers and boaters alike. However, autumn also offers a spectacular display of fall foliage. Winters can be harsh, with heavy snowfall limiting access to certain areas of the park.
