The drive-in lodge features private two-person rooms, larger rooms, and simple, cozy bunk-style accommodations, with twin-sized bunk beds and shared bathrooms. The lodge boasts shared common spaces, and a library perfect for winding down after a day outdoors. Guests can enjoy cooked communal meals (extra fee) and a relaxed, social atmosphere that reflects the lodge’s deep roots in outdoor culture and conservation.
In winter, Clair Tappaan Lodge provides direct access to classic snowshoe and cross-country ski routes, with nearby ski areas including Sugar Bowl, Royal Gorge, Boreal, and Donner Ski Ranch. I had an incredibly rejuvenating time at the Scotts Dear Lodge! Krysten went out of her way with little gestures to make the space feel clean, comfortable, and inviting. A home away from home, if you will. It was also incredible waking up with a cup of coffee while it snowed outside! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies you would need to prepare a nice home-cooked meal for yourself, and the wood-burning stove was also a highlight! I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a trip for a small family, couples, or solo adventurers! Don't miss out on this charming spot

We enjoyed our time at this little cabin so much. We originally planned to camp elsewhere but the place ended up being flooded, so last minute we were able to book this place and head here within a few hours. The host was planning to close the cabin down for this time but allowed our booking anyway and was very accommodating. He even came from out of town a few hours away to make sure we had everything we needed. Any questions we had he answered right away and even came in the middle of the night to change out the propane tank for us. The atmosphere was wonderful and our dogs were very welcomed. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at the Shamballa cabin over the weekend! It’s a beautiful rustic cabin in the middle of nature. You’ll get the feel of glamping (only wood burning stove for heat, no bathrooms in the cabin or running hot water (but flush toilet and hot water sink and shower in main house)), but you’ll be staying in a beautiful cabin with comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare meals and a cozy place to relax.
We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking the Dragons nest trail (get ready for some exercise as you go up to the top!). There is so much land to see and we only saw a little bit! I imagine it’s beautiful in the Winter months also! Thank you Adam and we hope to visit another time!

This land is magical. It has the most beautiful trees and spring and variety of landscape to plant your tent. I stayed in a cabin that was huge with two very comfortable bedrooms and beds and a kitchen. It’s an eco lodge so electricity is solar and toilets are compost so be mindful of that but there’s also a guest flush toilet if really needed. So many trails to hike on. A real treat to be staying in Adam’s land.

We had an incredible stay at the cabin on the campgrounds. The experience was more than just a getaway,it was deeply spiritual. Being surrounded by nature gave us space to slow down, reflect, and connect with one another in a meaningful way. From the stillness of the trees to the night skies filled with stars, every moment reminded us of the beauty and balance of creation.
One of the things we appreciated most was not having Wi-Fi. Instead of screens, we had conversations.
