As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. Our cozy A-frame cabin and peaceful nature campsites are located in a beautiful mixed woodland next to the Missisquoi River, which is great for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding in the summer, and cross-country or backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. The property is fairly steep, so be prepared for a good 5–10 minute workout as you hike up to the cabin. We have a stunning view of Mount Sutton, located about a 25-minute drive from the property. Owl's Head and Jay Peak are each about the same distance away.

There's sentier for hiking and two lakes to enjoy with a kayak. There is a bicycle available to go for a ride. In the tipi, the wood is included as well as a bed, just bring your sleeping bags. Pitch your tent in our wooded trailside retreat and have access to picnic tables, fire pit, and an outhouse! First camp is where we ask that you park your car/trailer. If riding ATV's or snowmobiles, this spot is closest to the trails! We have a small camp on this spot that we stay in on most weekends. There is a tent/camper site on the side of the yard.  Parking is also available in the door yard.  These spots have access to an outhouse that is fully stocked with anything you would need. There is also a picnic table and large fire pit. The second site is for the remote camper! These spots are at the end of the property tucked in the woods. There is also golf at Dufferin heights, cycling paths, shopping and quaint villages to explore. I would be delighted to help you plan some activities to make the most of your visit. A recently planted, fenced in food forest with picnic tables is the perfect place to watch the sunset as you let your dogs run free, while trails in the forest allow you the opportunity to explore the forested area by the river. A fire pit, two picnic tables with umbrellas, four Adirondak chairs, washrooms offer additional amenities to enjoy your stay. Please note that though I only accept 1 group of campers per visit so you can enjoy your intimacy in the evenings with your friends and family, you will not have exclusive use of the food forest during the day as I may need to attend to my trees for weeding, harvesting or other. Most guests leave at some point for an outing so schedules can easily be coordinated. Extras include: a $5 per pet extra charge, $5 hot coffee morning service, and $10 local maple syrup. Frank is a really nice guy and has a beautiful property. His land is tucked away deep in the woods down a dirt road. His house is on the property, but he’s got a really large lot of land with beautiful views of nearby mountains. I stayed on his property in winter, and he was super accommodating, he plowed for me, helped me pick out the best spot that would be shielded from the wind, and even provided me with an extension cord for power and some wood. I’ll definitely be back. He’s got amazing views and a very private feeling property. He even offered that I could stay in his finished lower level if I got too cold. Cool property and it’s really close to Mt Pisgah where I was doing some hikes.

Weekend Trip to Froggy Acres

My Girlfriend and I had a perfect night of camping thanks to Don and Luna. Don was very accommodating and extremely kind. He helped us with anything we needed like camp gear as well as firewood. Each campsite was amazing with a lot of thought and effort put into it. If you want a more private camping experience, this is a great spot for it! We will certainly be back!

My wife and I had such a wonderful time. The place was peaceful, comfortable, and beautifully maintained , you can really feel the care that goes into it. Alain was an exceptional host. He was welcoming, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely puts so much heart into making guests feel at home. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. We can’t wait to come back! ☺️

1 night at Old Stone House Museum VT

Great tent camping experience. Quiet, great walking trails, amazing views, Surrounded by gardens, apple trees, grazing cows and you will be among several old historic buildings and farming implements from 1800's. I real bargain for the price! I went on a Monday into Tuesday when the museum and buildings were closed, this made for a private quiet experience. If you go during open times or peak summer/ fall times you may see more tourists passing through. Look forward to going again!

C’était parfait!! Bien isolé, sans voisins et assez reculé de la route. On entends un peu la route mais en bruit de fond seulement. Ça ne nous a pas empêché de dormir. Le terrain est beau, bien aménagé. On a eu l’impression d’être seul au monde! On y retournerait sans hésitation!

Weekend Trip to Little Sister's Campsite

We loved camping here it was very secluded and we were able to enjoy a nice campfire right under the beautiful Vermont sky. The host Tony was very nice and showed very kind hospitality, he allowed us to use his kayak on the actual pond although there is a pond on the site it's just a small pond that you can swim in if you want or you can go to the hosts main house and go in the real pond. I fished the big pond and caught a ton of yellow perch and some catfish in the pond by the site. We definitely would love to come back again someday.

Great private lot about 30 mins from KT. Great view of the mountains. Site had full amenities and full hookup for an RV. Both Rv and tent camping. Host is highly responsive. Highly reccomended.

Very nice camping spot: private, lot of space, very clean. Very dog-friendly and the fence makes it easy and safe for the dogs. The large fire pit and tables with umbrellas make it very comfortable. I recommend!

Absolutely loved my short stay here! Frank is very friendly and accommodating. The land is beautiful and spacious and the HOT outdoor shower was awesome! He goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home, I highly recommend this location! Also, the stars at night were magical!!
