There's sentier for hiking and two lakes to enjoy with a kayak. There is a bicycle available to go for a ride. In the tipi, the wood is included as well as a bed, just bring your sleeping bags. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. Weekend Trip to Froggy Acres

My Girlfriend and I had a perfect night of camping thanks to Don and Luna. Don was very accommodating and extremely kind. He helped us with anything we needed like camp gear as well as firewood. Each campsite was amazing with a lot of thought and effort put into it. If you want a more private camping experience, this is a great spot for it! We will certainly be back!

Great tent camping experience. Quiet, great walking trails, amazing views, Surrounded by gardens, apple trees, grazing cows and you will be among several old historic buildings and farming implements from 1800's. I real bargain for the price! I went on a Monday into Tuesday when the museum and buildings were closed, this made for a private quiet experience. If you go during open times or peak summer/ fall times you may see more tourists passing through. Look forward to going again!

Weekend Trip to Little Sister's Campsite

We loved camping here it was very secluded and we were able to enjoy a nice campfire right under the beautiful Vermont sky. The host Tony was very nice and showed very kind hospitality, he allowed us to use his kayak on the actual pond although there is a pond on the site it's just a small pond that you can swim in if you want or you can go to the hosts main house and go in the real pond. I fished the big pond and caught a ton of yellow perch and some catfish in the pond by the site. We definitely would love to come back again someday.

Stayed 3 days in my suv and was inspired by the scenery, trails and hospitality. There is limited shade so I would bring a tent for my vehicle next time. Great place for photography and picturesque sunrises and sunsets. Can’t beat the price!

Loved this spot. Diane met us upon arrival, showed us everything we needed, suggested places nearby to eat, things to see and gave us our choice of spots. The sites are spacious, well maintained and some with direct access to the river. Great fishing by the way. It’s quiet, peaceful, beautiful setting and only a short walk into town. Donald was a generous and thoughtful host. He upgraded me from the tent site to the lean to, and gave me a full tour of the property. The lean-to was fully equipped to keep out mosquitos, Donald has clearly put so much love and work into the sites and his land. The dogs he had staying with him were so friendly! This was the perfect mix of campung and glamping, I will absolutely be back!

Where to go

Parc National du Mont-Orford

Nestled among the towering peaks of Mont Orford and Mont Chauve, Mont-Orford National Park lets hikers take in majestic views from Bear Peak via Cretes Trail and Pekan Trail. Canoeing, cycling, rock climbing, swimming, and paddle surfing keep campers active in summer waters as well, while snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are available in wintertime. Camp within the park at its rustic campsites or in more amenity-filled campgrounds with full restrooms and supply shops.

Lake Memphremagog

Explore the 21 islands of Lake Memphremagog while sailing or canoeing through its waters. The lake is especially popular for fishing—it teems with sunfish, yellow perch, rock bass, largemouth bass, and bullhead catfish. Campers can stay in nearby cabin rentals and campsites close to bait and tackle shops, supply stores, and restaurants.

Bleu Lavande

Visit Coaticook on the Coaticook River to traverse the longest suspended footbridge in North America.
