Our family began restoring the farmhouse as well as beginning a small regenerative farming operation in 2022. Currently we have a small flock of broilers and layers, turkeys, ducks and guineas. Our birds are fed an organic feed local to Vermont and are pasture raised. Freya an Luna are the Great Pyrenees' about the farm. They protect the flocks from predators. They are working dogs and have access to the entire property. For this-and other reasons, we discourage bringing pets to the farm. A sweet brook meanders through the property which all sites have access to as well as stunning views of bald mountain. Lovely farm views throughout the seasons. Multiple trails for exploring can be found on and off farm. Trail heads to multiple mountains are within a few minutes of campsites. Lake Willoughby is a short 4 miles away, 7 miles to Island Pond, as well as endless hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and more.

It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. Situated at the top of Todd Hill, the property includes a fresh-water stream, apple orchard, and Christmas Tree Farm. We're a working homestead, so you might see us out and about. There are several different sites at the Old Moose Farm ranging from inside the cozy apple orchard, to the top of Crom's Peak with it's 270° views of the Connecticut River Valley and the North East Kingdom of Vermont. There's also plenty of open space for those who would like to pick their own spot, message me for details. On a clear day you can see Vermont, New Hampshire, Canada, and even Maine! In our 40 plus acres of Christmas Trees and Apple Orchards you will feel at one with nature while also only being 3 miles from one of New England's finest microbreweries and all the ATV and hiking trails you can handle. The Property features several camping sites perfect for classic tent campers, smaller travel trailers and micro campers, and backpacking adventurers. Located 10 minutes from Colebrook NH and 30 minutes from Pittsburgh NH. The Northeast Kingdom of VT and The Great North woods of NH are all accessible from The Old Moose Farm.

Frank is a really nice guy and has a beautiful property. His land is tucked away deep in the woods down a dirt road. His house is on the property, but he’s got a really large lot of land with beautiful views of nearby mountains. I stayed on his property in winter, and he was super accommodating, he plowed for me, helped me pick out the best spot that would be shielded from the wind, and even provided me with an extension cord for power and some wood. I’ll definitely be back. He’s got amazing views and a very private feeling property. He even offered that I could stay in his finished lower level if I got too cold. Cool property and it’s really close to Mt Pisgah where I was doing some hikes.

3 nights at Camp whiskey throttle

Anthony's venue made one of the most memorable trips possible for my friends and I, as we made space away from our day jobs. The camp is remote, scenic, and close by to most necessary resources (there is a LaPerle's market a few minutes drive away with everything we could imagine!). Additionally, there is a beautiful waterfall just 15-20 minutes away called Beaver Brook Falls with small trails and picnic benches. Despite NH being on drought warning and our group not being able to enjoy a campfire, we felt no setbacks in our plans. On top of this, Anthony provided excellent turnaround in communications and incredibly gracious accommodations. Excellent camp, even more amazing host. I would recommend this hipcamp 1000/10!

My Girlfriend and I had a perfect night of camping thanks to Don and Luna. Don was very accommodating and extremely kind. He helped us with anything we needed like camp gear as well as firewood. Each campsite was amazing with a lot of thought and effort put into it. If you want a more private camping experience, this is a great spot for it! We will certainly be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Camp Whiskey Throttle on a nice fall weekend and had an incredible time, the camp exceeded our expectations. Great lighting at night made for a romantic trip for two, however it would also be a super fun spot to go with family or friends as well.

I was looking for a place that was in between Pittsburgh and Errol for grouse hunting. Distance wise Anthony's place was about center. It ended up being a perfect location. Its easy to get to, quiet, and well maintained. The communication with Anthony was excellent. I will 100% return when I am hunting up there again. Thank you!

This is a great little spot! You can tell a lot of love was put into it. The outdoor kitchen was our favorite thing- even in the pouring rain you could cook a good meal on the flat top and then eat it under the gazebo with a fire. It’s on a dead end road, and not a single person passed the cabin all 4 days we were there. Extremely quiet. You can ride ATVs right from camp. Everything you could possibly need is available. And the surrounding location is absolutely stunning. The only downfall for us was the sulfur smelling water, the warm shower water only lasting 5 minutes (so for two people needing to shower after off roading in the mud, that was a little rough) then it’s cold. There were some crumbs and stains on the counters, the toilet, shower, the fridge, and toothpaste stains in the sink - but I guess that’s to expect with there being no cleaner. And that’s not the hosts fault- some campers just don’t follow the rules. All in all, we had a wonderful time and plan on booking another trip for next year.

1 night at Old Stone House Museum VT

Great tent camping experience. Quiet, great walking trails, amazing views, Surrounded by gardens, apple trees, grazing cows and you will be among several old historic buildings and farming implements from 1800's. I real bargain for the price! I went on a Monday into Tuesday when the museum and buildings were closed, this made for a private quiet experience. If you go during open times or peak summer/ fall times you may see more tourists passing through. Look forward to going again!

We loved camping here it was very secluded and we were able to enjoy a nice campfire right under the beautiful Vermont sky. The host Tony was very nice and showed very kind hospitality, he allowed us to use his kayak on the actual pond although there is a pond on the site it's just a small pond that you can swim in if you want or you can go to the hosts main house and go in the real pond. I fished the big pond and caught a ton of yellow perch and some catfish in the pond by the site. We definitely would love to come back again someday.
