We welcome any self contained travel trailer or RV's.
Enjoy use of horseshoe pits, open space for games (e.g. soccer, bocce, frisbee, badminton, etc.) and feel free to ask, we may have those 'toys' to loan you during your visit.

If you are looking to escape the noise of everyday life, this is the place for you! Come enjoy the peaceful tranquility of our rustic little Shack on the 113 acre farm of rolling hills + open fields set by the edge of the forest. Previously used as the hot chocolate shack for our tree farm business which has finished after a 30 year run. The Shack is completely "OFF GRID" and you can get a feel for staying amongst the sounds of nature and possibly find yourself shutting off your phone and really enjoying the quiet peaceful escape. Sitting by a bon-fire at night, with the stars bright in the dark sky. Enjoying a good book or a walk on the property looking out for Wild Turkey's, Coyotes, Raccoons, Ground hogs and a variety of Bird's. Take an evening walk to the top of the hill to catch a beautiful farm sunset over the corn fields. Local businesses nearby are Brooks Farm Playground and Market 2 min up the road. Rose Family Farm with fresh cut fries 4 min away. Musselman's Lake is a 6 min drive to enjoy the fabulous Fishbone on the Lake, casual outdoor dining. In nearby Stouffville find Timber Creek Mini Golf, Gallucci Winery, Willow Springs Winery + Tree top trekking at Bruce's Mill.
With many hiking trails in the area including Eldred King Woodlands, Vivian forest Trails, Durham Regional Forest and almost directly across the road and slightly south of our property new York Region Forest walking/hiking trails can be accessed. Nearby restaurants in Ballantrae. In the quaint little town of Mt. Albert 5 min with an LCBO in it open till 8pm daily. Ballantrae Ultramar 6 min away also has an LCBO open till 11 pm daily. Uxbridge is nearby and a large variety of restaurants and shopping
Lots to check out in the area, or simply stay put at The Shack and enjoy cooking a meal on the BBQ in the outdoor kitchen area (propane included) and relaxing by the bonfire (wood included). The Shack is equipped with some cooking items, pots + pans, BBQ and utensils, knives, cutlery, plates, coffee cups, bowls, glasses + (wine glasses) cutting board, tray, kettle and a small chest cooler to keep your food and drinks cold (you will need to bring the ice) Dish washing rack is provided, as well as large jugs of clean potable water for cooking/drinking and doing the dishes. Please bring your garbage bags! Extra cooler is also provided.
The Shack sleeps 3 people comfortably, with 2 bunks and 1 single size sofa-bed. Pillows and Bedding ARE NOT included. Plenty of room to set up additional tents for the additional per person nightly rate if more than 3 people. **2 Outhouses on premises. **Bonfire wood is provided - Large chunks - split your own - Axe is provided. You can leave any recyclables. Recycle containers are provided, but you must **Please Take Garbage Away at checkout!!!

Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible.
Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails.
Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used.
There is a large bonfire area on our farm, (a little bit away from the Bunkie) also a play area for kids including zip line, boat structure, sand box, swing, above ground pool and trampoline; gorgeous circular organic garden with seating area and a small orchard. Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit!
We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog.
We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails. Goat walks are about 30 minutes generally and $15 per walk.
Our own Free Range eggs are available for $7/doz as well as firewood for $10 per bundle
Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range!
We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please.
We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022!

Henry & Johana are really nice people and are so welcoming, they offer coin laundry on site & have a pool, trampoline, zip line, lots of room to walk around, huge garden!! We love the area and our stay was amazing at their RV site! We definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place near New Castle, about 30m drive but so worth it! We will deff come back next year and will be booking early!

I highly recommend Willowjays for anybody bike touring from east to west along the Trans Canada Trail. You can remain on quiet concession roads without going out of your way to access it. West to east is a different story. You’ll have to cycle along the harrowing Lakeridge Rd. or take a long detour to arrive. Nonetheless, you’ll be pleased once you arrive. Clean, private and comfortable washrooms with flushable toilets and potable running water await. The mostly discreet outdoor shower has hot water… YESSSS!!! Plus a separate hose to wash down your bike. Lots of flat grassy space to pitch your tent, and the view to the south is vast and awe inspiring. Willowjays cares and it shows. Thanks for the great stay!

We spent 3 nights at Willowjays and it was the perfect base camp for our trip! The site is incredibly secluded, giving us all the privacy and peace we were looking for. Despite feeling so private, it was very easy to access and get our gear in and out. The farm views are gorgeous, and Renee was a wonderful, accommodating host. Highly recommend this spot if you need a quiet, convenient home base to explore the area!

The place is clean, has everything you’d need and all instructions are clear and everything is as advertised.
Would definitely come again (maybe to try their other accommodation).
Also, we’ve got a visit from one of their dogs and he was one of the best trained (and cutest) dogs ever!

We had the most incredible romantic getaway at this absolutely gorgeous property! From the moment we arrived, the entire place felt like a peaceful, serene sanctuary.
Our hosts were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Here are a few highlights from our trip:
Ultimate Relaxation: Having both the jacuzzi and sauna included in the price was an amazing bonus and made our evenings incredibly relaxing.
Great Amenities: We loved spending time lounging by the beautiful open pool and even tiering ourselves out with a few fun games on the badminton court.
A Special Furry Friend: A massive shoutout to the show stealer, Koda! He is such a friendly, energetic, and lovable dog who brought a huge smile to our faces every time we saw him.

Amazing little spot. Staying here with my son made me so happy. The concrete pad is easy to maneuver. We got some fresh eggs and a water fill up. The sunset was spectacular. Love our night here

Brian & Ann are amazing hosts and their property is beautiful! Koda their dog is such a gentle giant and loved playing with my medium sized beagle/weiner dog mix. We stayed in the bunkie and it was perfect. The pool & hot tub were awesome! We will definitely be back!
