The 5th wheel trailer with 2 single beds can be combined into a double bed. The trailer has many amenities including, a fridge/freezer, bell satellite TV, Stereo system, Kitchen with some supplies, potable water, toilet with a septic system, outdoor furniture, propane bbq, 2 burner hot plate, picnic table, and fire-pit. Many chairs to sit at both the fire-pit and deck, the trailer has a retractable awning that can be used to provide more shade for the deck
There is no direct beach access, however, the beach is 5 mins driving time to Port Bruce, 15 mins to Port Stanley or 25 mins to Port Burwell
The trailer is an older 5th wheel in livable condition, set in the forest, the trailer has signs of aging, there are animals that call the forest their home, we do the best we can to keep them out but animals will be animals it is not luxury, but very comfy, quiet and peaceful
It does have its limitations
No heat, no hot water, no WiFi, no shower, no oven, no stove, no microwave
The water pump switch has to be turned on and off during use
Some phone service providers work better than others on site

Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer
We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company.

For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

Should you wish to tent, the property is yours to enjoy with Natures Nook. Bring your camping gear and let nature absorb your senses. There is an outhouse for tenters and a Berkey water filtration system for drinking water. There are various chairs around the property and a dining area (sitting 5) A communal firepit is available for your enjoyment. Additional tenting areas are available for family/friendship gatherings on the property. Should you wish to have a private gathering we will block off the property for your party members only. Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

Our stay at the Forest View glamping dome was an incredible experience. The location is surrounded by beautiful forest and nature, making it the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The dome itself was very clean, cozy, and well designed with comfortable beds and modern amenities.
One of the highlights was the outdoor area with the trail to Lake Erie, fire pit and overlooking the trees. At night, the sky was perfect for stargazing and the peaceful atmosphere made it even more special which made the stay comfortable while still feeling close to nature.
The host was very helpful and communication was smooth from booking to check-out. Overall, it was a unique glamping experience that combines camping with comfort. I would definitely recommend it for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature.

My boyfriend and I absolutely adored Ben’s cabin. It was so beautiful and we had the best time. The host has went above and beyond to give us guests a great experience when staying here. We were just so amazed by the property. And the touch of Christmas was the cherry on top. We plan on coming back at least once a year. We especially loved the seclusion, peace and quiet, and being right in nature in a luxurious cabin. This is the absolute best place for a relaxing trip. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Spring Arbour bunkie was a magical experience for my husband and me. Although we were alone in the forest on our mid fall trip, we felt such a sense of peace cozied up in the glow of the wood stove. What a thrill to go up for a scenic ride in Erik’s ultra light two seater plane. We really lucked out finding this hipcamp. The instructions were excellent and the hosts very responsive.

The bunkie was great. Very cozy and comfortable. It was fantastic to have access both the forested area, and an open field for watching the sunset/sunrise or stars at night. Highly recommend this location in the fall when the leaves are changing. Close to Backus Woods, where I had a lovely hike as well.

I was given too much information. Bombarded with four different text walls of instructions, rules etc. all saying almost the same thing but slightly differently (or contradicting one another sometimes).
The only personal communication (aside from several pre-written ones) I received from hosts was a message that said "Okay only if you need please ##########." This was in response to my request that we communicate by phone number once I leave my house since I do not have internet on my phone. Honestly, it made me feel like I was bothering them if I had questions while I was there - and I did end up having questions about how to safely operate the air intake on the woodstove but I just decided to keep it to myself.
Value: 3.5/5
This place was awesome, but a touch expensive. After paying an extra $22 for firewood (necessary - it was close to 0C at night) and cleaning fees (I did all the cleaning because I was told to leave it better than I found it. There are not even sheets to change) it was 270 for 2 nights. At that rate, I expect to at least be welcomed by the hosts.

Where to go
Port Stanley Beach
With Blue Flag status, Main Beach in Port Stanley is recognized for its excellent water quality, safety measures, and environmental responsibility. The long span of sandy beach stretches along the northern shores of Lake Erie, and lifeguards are on duty in the summer. On-site features include changing facilities, accessible washrooms, a beach volleyball court, and canoe or kayak rentals. Stroll down the nearby boardwalk and pier to Port Stanley Lighthouse, and watch Lake Erie’s waves crash against the stone walls.
Long Point Provincial Park
Just past Big Creek National Wildlife Area, Long Point Provincial Park is perhaps one of the most unique camping spots in all of Ontario. Stretching to Long Point National Wildlife Area, the narrow peninsula of sand dunes, wetlands, and Carolinian forest juts out into Lake Erie. The hamlet of Long Point is a mere one kilometre across at its widest point. Along with its beaches, Long Point is an incredible location for watching hundreds of migratory bird species every spring and fall. Several of the park’s beach-accessible campsites have electrical hookups, while others are designated as radio-free.
Port Burwell Provincial Park
About a half-hour east of Port Stanley, Port Burwell Provincial Park is a great place to camp with the whole family. There are designated dog-friendly beach areas, both on-leash and off-leash. The sandy beach has very few rocks, with lower water levels that are pet-friendly. The playground keeps spirits high for younger Hipcampers, and the trail network invites hikers and bikers to explore the natural surroundings. The park campground is well-appointed for both tent and RV campers, including many campsites with electrical hookups.
