This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

Camping on Paul's property for the night was breathtaking. Being able to camp in a quiet, secluded area backing onto a beautiful creek was exactly what I needed.
Paul was super friendly and welcoming. He showed us where the site was and even offered the cabin for us to sleep in. Plenty of wood was provided.
I highly recommend this place - it's perfect!
I'm definitely going back again.

Beautiful location, it’s as quiet as the description makes it out to be. The campsite area that was provided was well kept and tidy. Some of the amenities were not available due to the lateness of the season and were disclosed prior to arrival. It’s a pull-in site that I feel limits the overall length of vehicle and trailer to get brother location so I’d recommend you check with the host about that if you’ve got a larger rig and may need to coordinate things. I’m relatively new to backing in trailers and I got it parked without any damage (and no spotter). I didn’t have an opportunity to explore the land as much as I wanted, there’s so much to explore. Eric was very welcoming, and provided ample firewood.

Another amazing stay at this serene country paradise! Kelly and her family are wonderful hosts; they gave us all the privacy we wanted, but were certainly there if we needed anything. On the other hand, Sasha (the dog), Lucy (the cat), and the chickens (ruled over by a noisy but amusing black rooster), visited regularly, adding whimsey and comfort to the visit! We look forward to our next visit; it's starting to feel like family!

This was our second time visiting Eric's camp site. Weather was cool at night but we were lucky that the fire ban was lifted and that there was lots of firewood to keep us warm. It is such a great spot to enjoy with friends, we had a great time floating on the clear lake, watching all the fish. There are some deeper spots and a jumping rock which was good for swimming. We were lucky to experience a meteor shower while we were there and the dock provided great viewing. Eric was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Already looking forward to coming back!

Our fishing-crazy teenage son and our dog loved this place as did we! Beautiful property with lots of space and tranquility. No reliable cell service with Bell but very close to beautiful Westport so you can go into town for your internet and other needs. There is some service in the middle of the lake too. Gradual water entry with provided kayak, rowboat (which I loved) and canoes. There are weeds near the dock's end but it's easy to swim or take the rowboat to the floating dock (which has built-in seat backs) where the water is about 13 feet deep and no weeds. We came with our 19 foot trailer which required us to drive past Spectacle lane and turn around at the end of the road and come in that way, as there is a very sharp turn going into Spectacle lane which was hard to maneuver with the trailer. Recommend setting up on the gravel for more even surface. Highly recommend this site! Pricier than most Hipcamp sites however I can't comment if it is better than others due to our lack of experience with Hipcamp.

Beautiful wooded campsite completely to yourself. We stayed with our dog and cat and had a wonderful time. Great amenities (gazebo, shower, double outhouse). Campsite is right above the lake (5 minutes walk away). Host was very friendly.

This was our third time here this season and we love it so much we booked another trip next month! Sitting by the river with our coffee and a book has become our new favourite way to unwind after a busy week. Our kids love being able to swim and paddle board right off the site, and they are still in direct sight line!
Plenty of space to set up multiple tents, and the dining shelter came in handy on a wet morning. Tons of shade but some sunny spots, too, ideal mix of spaces.
There is a bit of poison ivy around the edges of the site so take a peek around to make sure you know where it is.
This has quickly become our favourite family get away and we will be coming back again and again!
