Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

An adorable little retro styled bunkie on a private woodsy property that’s just a fifteen minute walk (or three minute drive) from a picturesque rock beach on Lake Ontario. Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. So much to see and do here, lots of sightseeing, nature trails, conservation areas and don’t forget the world famous Sandbanks provincial park! (The largest sandbar beach in Canada). Perfect getaway for a couples glamping experience, some peace, quiet, and relaxation, or to just let loose and have a great time! There are no houses to either side of the property, so there’s no worry to be quiet 😉.

Escape to the Forest Hideaway, a charming off-grid tiny house with tiny wood stove, perfect for adventure! No need to disconnect - we’ve got WIFI! Make sure to enjoy the deck and nearby gazebo! Inside, you'll find your queen bed in the loft at the top of a ladder. The tiny house is surrounded by trees, and the interior has a platform couch and bench for seating, tiny wood stove, tiny kitchen, "shower" area for sponge bathing, and a composting toilet. (There is no running water or electricity). We are stocked with all bedding, towels, dishware, tea, coffee, and a French press! You'll find a BBQ and camp stove for cooking on the deck - there's no fridge, but a cooler with ice packs will be provided. Battery packs are here for charging cell phones and laptops (with USB-C and USB). The tiny home comes complete with rechargeable lamps, battery powered lights, potable drinking and washing water, and WIFI! Consider this the most indoor camping experience you can have and still be out in the woods! You'll want to be comfortable with making a fire and keeping warm in the winter months! The tiny stove will keep you warm on the coldest winter days, but you have to keep it going. :) In the winter months, we'll get the stove started to warm everything before you arrive (and provide you with kindling and wood). When cleaning out the ashes in the stove (if necessary,) please use the metal pail outside and place the ash-filled pail back on the concrete blocks. Please note that there is no other heat source. Check out Mill Pond Conservation Area for great hiking about 15 minutes away! Maybe Rock Dunder Nature Reserve for hiking and AMAZING views? (30 minutes). A private piece of Prince Edward County! An adorable little retro styled bunkie on a private woodsy property that’s just a fifteen minute walk (or three minute drive) from a picturesque rock beach on Lake Ontario. Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. So much to see and do here, lots of sightseeing, nature trails, conservation areas and don’t forget the world famous Sandbanks provincial park! (The largest sandbar beach in Canada). Perfect getaway for a couples glamping experience, some peace, quiet, and relaxation, or to just let loose and have a great time! There are no houses to either side of the property, so there’s no worry to be quiet 😉.

Jacks Cabin was a perfect cozy cottage in the woods. Beautiful property and plenty of classic board games to play by fire light. The wood stove kept up very warm throughout the night. The only con is the outhouse has a window but no curtain. Its a small critique but worth mentioning. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone looking to get away for a quiet weekend check out this property.

Lisa is a wonderful host — calm, friendly, and with great communication throughout our stay. Her hospitality and attention to comfort were amazing. She kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a bit cold during our visit since there’s no electricity in the caravan, but Lisa made sure we had enough warmers to stay cozy. The propane stove worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well-equipped for making coffee and tea. We probably chose the wrong season — early fall or summer would be ideal — but the cold was still manageable for us. Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Monica is fantastic host. The campsite is clean. The yellow chalet is cute. Each cottage houses have there own personalities. They have the stuff you need for cooking and fire pit. Access to the water is good. Good for swimming boating and fishing. The hiking trails are marked. Highlly recommended if you like nature away from city noises.

Warm feels – The host was really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. No surprises – The tent was just as it appeared in the photos (always a plus!). Cozy feels – Extra blankets were produced when the temperature dropped to 0°C. Saviour. Campfire goals – David had kindling ready for the fire each evening. Complete vibe setter. We were also offered a bottle of wine at the fireplace, how kind. Breakfast bonus – Home-cooked breakfasts from scratch? Alone, worth the trip. Garden perks – Had the chance to pick fresh vegetables that they grow in their garden. Yes, please! Glamp life upgrades – Real toilets + a legitimate shower area = a luxury in the woods. They also have a power outlet inside the tent, which is a big plus. Hot water hiccup – The hot water heater malfunctioned one day, but they got us up and running again quickly and even offered us a breakfast discount. Tip: Check if the hot water tank works when booking. Chill zone – Hammock time and well-spaced tent sites = chill time. Booking heads-up – Prices may vary slightly (between $ 65-100 CAD) across booking platforms, so compare them before making a reservation. The host and Hipcamp couldn't help recoup the difference. Final takeaway – Seriously, this house gets glamping right. So comfy, thoughtful little touches all over the place, and just the perfect combination of rough + cozy.

Choleena and Larry were the perfect hosts- super helpful, non-intrusive and even told us we could check out at anytime on our last day. The cabin was also great, very clean and well taken care of. 2 nights at Black Maple Farm

We stayed at Lisa and family’s stargazer bunkie for two nights in early September and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived after dark and Lisa was so helpful in making sure we found the bunkie, and always replied to messages promptly. The bunkie was well stocked, cleaned, and decorated, and we had no trouble making all the meals we had planned. It really felt like glamping, and having some time alone with Tango the horse in the night and morning felt super special. All the animals looked happy and well taken care of, were friendly and a pleasure to interact with :) Location is also great if you are planning of taking advantage of the wonderful trails at Frontenac Provincial Park.
