The Ridge Retreat is 6 acres of beauty topped off with amazing waterfront and an awesome new dock. A gravel road has been prepared from the road access right down to the lake. We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb.

Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge.
This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

Cozy off-grid tiny house with an amazing lake view. Kiltearn on the Peak is perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing quasi-off-grid experience, but with lots of amenities to ensure comfort. Situated on a rocky peak overlooking Buck Lake (30 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario), the cabin is surrounded by forest on three sides, and has a terrific lake view from the front deck. Features include a loft with a queen bed, Wifi, soapstone propane heater, fridge, induction cooktop, kitchen sink, futon couch and a sheltered outdoor sitting area with barbeque and outdoor sink.
The cabin is situated on 11 forested acres with 400 feet of shoreline and its own private bay, KOTP offers the perfect area for recreation: swimming, forest-bathing, messing around in small boats, spectacular sunsets on the deck.
In the vicinity are great areas for hiking, canoeing, biking, and discovering the attractions of the Rideau canal system and the watersheds that feed it. There is excellent local food shopping in the area, and attractive small villages offer unique shopping opportunities.
To get to the cabin involves a climbing 30 woodland steps up the back of the hill, and following a 200 meter path. As a quasi-off-grid tiny house, KOTP has AC power available to run the fridge, induction cooktop, other appliances and your computer. Solar power and a backup generator are also available if needed. The lights and the water pumps are 12v. The interior sink serves drinking water from 5 gallon jugs refilled from our filtered water supply at the nearby house.
KOTP has a gorgeous soapstone propane heater that provides a great ambiance and comfort if the weather gets damp or chilly. On the deck outside is a propane barbeque and an outdoor sink that is fed from a 50 gallon rain barrel. We use this to do the dishes outside. The rain barrel also feeds an outdoor shower. The toilet is a composting unit that lives in the shed at the back of the cabin.
A rustic path leads to the waterfront which is shared with the other cottage on the property. The waterfront features a large shallow sandy swimming area, a spacious floating dock, and access to various small watercraft including kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and Sunfish sailboats.

The Ridge Retreat is 6 acres of beauty topped off with amazing waterfront and an awesome new dock. A gravel road has been prepared from the road access right down to the lake. We recommend that you park on the upper portion of this driveway/road and walk or use an ATV to travel on the trail to the lake. As mentioned, there is about a 40 ft incline just as you approach the clearing down by the lake . Please wear running/walking shoes and descend slowly down either of the 2 trails provided. The trail "Easy Street" is definitely an easier descent and climb.

Situated just off the main road, The Ridge Retreat offers you the privacy and beauty of 6 unspoiled acres. Follow the gravel walkway/road down (5 min walk) to your amazing private dock situated on Howes Lake, Verona Ontario. Deep, clean water for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc. There are 2 firepits should you decide to have a campfire - one at the road site (RV and trailer) and one at the waters edge.
This property provides privacy and solitude for nature lovers. The designated RV parking spot is up near the main road along with a very nice outhouse but if you decide to tent camp, there are a few choices that would bring you closer to the water's edge. An additional outhouse is located at the top of the incline to the lake.
The gravel/asphalt trail down by the lake is the steeper of the 2 trails. Choose the "Easy Street" trail off to your right after you pass the stop sign indicating that no vehicles should drive beyond. This trail is a bit longer but a much more gradual incline.
Grocery shopping, nature trails, etc are just a few minutes away. The scenic town of Westport is a 30 min drive away with amazing shops and a local winery.

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

Cozy off-grid tiny house with an amazing lake view. Kiltearn on the Peak is perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing quasi-off-grid experience, but with lots of amenities to ensure comfort. Situated on a rocky peak overlooking Buck Lake (30 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario), the cabin is surrounded by forest on three sides, and has a terrific lake view from the front deck. Features include a loft with a queen bed, Wifi, soapstone propane heater, fridge, induction cooktop, kitchen sink, futon couch and a sheltered outdoor sitting area with barbeque and outdoor sink.
The cabin is situated on 11 forested acres with 400 feet of shoreline and its own private bay, KOTP offers the perfect area for recreation: swimming, forest-bathing, messing around in small boats, spectacular sunsets on the deck.
In the vicinity are great areas for hiking, canoeing, biking, and discovering the attractions of the Rideau canal system and the watersheds that feed it. There is excellent local food shopping in the area, and attractive small villages offer unique shopping opportunities.
To get to the cabin involves a climbing 30 woodland steps up the back of the hill, and following a 200 meter path. As a quasi-off-grid tiny house, KOTP has AC power available to run the fridge, induction cooktop, other appliances and your computer. Solar power and a backup generator are also available if needed. The lights and the water pumps are 12v. The interior sink serves drinking water from 5 gallon jugs refilled from our filtered water supply at the nearby house.
KOTP has a gorgeous soapstone propane heater that provides a great ambiance and comfort if the weather gets damp or chilly. On the deck outside is a propane barbeque and an outdoor sink that is fed from a 50 gallon rain barrel. We use this to do the dishes outside. The rain barrel also feeds an outdoor shower. The toilet is a composting unit that lives in the shed at the back of the cabin.
A rustic path leads to the waterfront which is shared with the other cottage on the property. The waterfront features a large shallow sandy swimming area, a spacious floating dock, and access to various small watercraft including kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and Sunfish sailboats.

Lisa is a wonderful host — calm, friendly, and with great communication throughout our stay. Her hospitality and attention to comfort were amazing. She kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.
It was a bit cold during our visit since there’s no electricity in the caravan, but Lisa made sure we had enough warmers to stay cozy. The propane stove worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well-equipped for making coffee and tea.
We probably chose the wrong season — early fall or summer would be ideal — but the cold was still manageable for us. Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful location, it’s as quiet as the description makes it out to be. The campsite area that was provided was well kept and tidy. Some of the amenities were not available due to the lateness of the season and were disclosed prior to arrival. It’s a pull-in site that I feel limits the overall length of vehicle and trailer to get brother location so I’d recommend you check with the host about that if you’ve got a larger rig and may need to coordinate things. I’m relatively new to backing in trailers and I got it parked without any damage (and no spotter). I didn’t have an opportunity to explore the land as much as I wanted, there’s so much to explore. Eric was very welcoming, and provided ample firewood.

This wonderland of green was so beautiful. The land & water is just breathtaking and the peaceful atmosphere. Fen was a great host very friendly, everything was in order. The sleeping space was warm and cozy. Our dog loved the space to run. Will be returning!

We loved a tent camping on Scott's land. The quiet, perfect spot for stargazing was exactly what we needed. We also absolutely loved and appreciated the delicious farm products—they were a real treat!

Monica is fantastic host. The campsite is clean. The yellow chalet is cute. Each cottage houses have there own personalities. They have the stuff you need for cooking and fire pit. Access to the water is good. Good for swimming boating and fishing. The hiking trails are marked.
Highlly recommended if you like nature away from city noises.

First of all, id like to thank Brian and Jen for welcoming us on to their land. This was a fantasfic experience. Brain ended up meeting us and welcoming us to his area. He then took all of our stuff to site with his side by side.
This spot was beautiful, set up extremly well and maintained and very quiet. We had a canoe to use, and although the water is shallow and weedy, a canoe here was a great time. We paddled and explored various islands.
Night time the stars we great although the moon was too bright for them to truly shine, we were able to see saturn and its rings using our telescope.
On our 4th and final day, brian and i had agreed on a time and he met us, using his side by side once again to cart our stuff back. He even helped us scour the site to make sure we didnt leave anything behind.
Overall, it was an acceptional stay and the hospitality and kindness of Brian made it a trip to remember.

My family and I had an amazing experience at Scott's campsite. We had no issues getting our 17ft trailer in. We were hoping for a secluded campsite and that's exactly what we got. No one in site and was so peaceful. Absolutely beautiful spot. Came with a BBQ and Propane! As well as kayaks and life jackets. Outhouse was clean and came with toilet paper. Campfire came with firewood and Scott even offered to bring us more if we ran out! So close to the town of westport (2 min drive) which has everything you need if you run out of anything, as well as a beauotful spot to walk around. We are already looking forward to camping there again next year!

We had a great time at The Ridge Retreat! The campsite is beautiful, well-maintained, and the views are amazing. The fire pits were perfect, and we really appreciated how easy it was to set up camp near the road at the top of the hill. That spot is very convenient for loading and unloading gear, though being close to the road does mean you’ll occasionally hear passing cars and nearby dogs. Next time, we’d probably choose a spot closer to the water for more privacy and atmosphere.
The trail leading down to the water and lower campsites is long with steep inclines, so be prepared for a bit of a trek. We brought a wagon, which made transporting our things manageable—without it, carrying everything would’ve been tough. The dock and water setup are absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our days down there soaking in the views, and our dog had the best time playing by the water. We didn’t swim ourselves, and while we didn’t catch any fish, just being by the water was incredibly relaxing.
The host was wonderful—very friendly, accommodating of our late arrival, and made sure we had plenty of firewood. Overall, we’d definitely recommend The Ridge Retreat to anyone looking for a scenic, peaceful camping experience with a balance of convenience and adventure.

What an amazing property! The site was exactly as described. We needed for nothing. Victor brought by brand new camp chairs for us and sweetly asked, "Can I come in?" when he arrived at the site with them. We loved the trails. We spotted a porcupine, a deer, an owl, heard raccoons, beavers and countless frogs and birds. We will be returning!

The pictures truly don’t do this spot justice! It’s very beautiful and spacious. My mother even took a photo of the outhouse because she couldn’t believe how clean and nice it was 😂. Very private and quiet space. View of the water was definitely a hike but absolutely worth it. An excellent time was had by all! Already planning to visit again! ☺️

It was an amazing spot to stay, the outhouse was super clean, it was very quiet and peaceful!
It is definitely a hike to get to the water from where we decided to put our tent up so we will definitely remember to bring the wagon next time, to make bringing things up/down a bit easier.
We brought our dogs and they LOOVED It - soo many squirrels to chase and they loved jumping off the dock

Wonderful tent camping site. Victor has gone above and beyond most other campsite operators providing a lovely wooded campsite with an elevated tent platform, great firepit, firewood as well as fire starter and kindling, potable water, propane bbq, screened dining tent, countertop for food prep, all in a private woodland setting yet within walking distance to hot shower and flush toilet. Highly recommend!

This is our second visit this summer to Tiny Village Woodlands. Such a nice park! Very clean and well cared for. We loved this site. It is a large site, with good privacy. It has an upper and lower level which is right on the water. The incline between the levels is steep, which may not work for some but was fine for us. Monica is a great host, very friendly and accessible if you need anything. We have nothing but good things to say about our visit.

Amazingly private. There's a rec centre and rental cottage also on the property but out of sight and ear shot of the campsite. Convenient bathroom with a shower at the rec centre within a 1-2 min. walk. Victor was a great host and provided everything we needed. Had a fun paddle boat ride on the lake and loved hiking the long private trails. Some sections of the trails are tricky. Looking forward to spending a week there next summer.
