A good recommendation coming from a camper is when they look forward to coming back. A validated recommendation is when the camper actually comes back, this was our second visit and we look forward to returning once again.

Camping on Kat’s property was amazing! We were a ground of 8 staying in the meadow and it was gorgeous and extremely private. There was another party at one of the other sites and we never even saw or heard them! We were able to take the kayaks out on the pond which was such a nice touch for those to be available for use! They leave lots of fire wood on the site for purchase which was a nice touch so we could help ourselves and enjoy a nice fire! We saw lots of frogs and interesting birds, and we really felt like we were completely off grid.
The porta-potty is a pretty standard porta potty, gets the job done and was well maintained. It a short distance down the road from the site and easy to find.
Additionally, we ended up having a dead car battery when we went to leave and Kat and Lionel were quick to come help us, and when just a boost wouldn’t cut it they actually took our batteries for a few hours to charge them. We ended up having to leave the car their overnight until we could get a new battery and they were incredibly kind and understanding, even offered us food and drinks and said we could stay over an extra night. The kindness and hospitality they showed to us has definitely gained them return customers! We can’t wait for our next stay with you guys! :)

We had a great experience at The Meadows. The campsite is beautiful, quiet and private with freedom to roam trails and woods. Close enough to amenities, lakes and campgrounds to explore without being surrounded by dozens of other campers.
The host, Kat, was super easy to deal with. All around an awesome experience.

The Meadow
The weather was lovely and we had a good time with family. But I would suggest a regular cleaning for the toilet facilities. Also, there was a party going on at one of the other campsites late into the night and into early morning, which was disturbing to us.

We had a good time, but the portable toilet was very dirty and you share it with all the other campsites, definitely not getting serviced like it should. We met someone who said they had cleaned it but it looked the same, poop smeared on the walls and door, just smelled like they had sprayed some odor killing spray around. The people at the next campsite down kept their party going till early morning. It is a private spot and could be very nice if they kept after the place better. I would considering booking again and in hopes of having a better experience.

Had an amazing time. The duck pond is beautiful. The lake was bigger than I expected. Got to kayak around using the boats available on site. Definitely recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kat’s Campground, and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. Nestled in nature, this campground offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The spacious grounds provide plenty of room to set up camp, ensuring a comfortable stay without feeling crowded. The natural beauty is truly breathtaking, with lush greenery and vibrant landscapes surrounding you at every turn.
One of the highlights for me was the access to enjoying the peaceful sound of flowing water. It’s the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
If you’re looking for a getaway that allows you to disconnect and enjoy the great outdoors, Kat’s Campground - The Meadow is amazing. It’s a perfect retreat, far from the noise and distractions of modern life. Highly recommend!

We stayed at The Meadow Oct, 18&19 2024, we were not disappointed & will be back. From Barred Owls night calls in the forest, to the Blue Heron at the pond, we had plenty of wood and non-potable water and a loo. The campsite was carved into the meadow field giving us plenty of room for tents. Having a couple of tables at the site was real handy for our stuff. take it from a couple of experienced campers, one of the nicest sites on the Hip. Communication with Kat was seamless, we have zero complaints.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Duck Pond and Kat was a great host! Very private site with an amazing view. The short walk from parking to campsite was manageable and the mowed trails leading around the pond were very nice, but be careful not to step on all the frogs! The site was beautiful right next to the pond with a nice stone firepit and a table with 4 chairs, fairly level ground but watch out for small stumps. Lots of wildlife around ~ we fell asleep to the sounds of crickets, frogs, muskrats splashing, coyote and owls and we woke up to the loons calling from nearby lakes. We will surely book another stay here in the future!
