Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. Jacks Cabin was a perfect cozy cottage in the woods. Beautiful property and plenty of classic board games to play by fire light. The wood stove kept up very warm throughout the night. The only con is the outhouse has a window but no curtain. Its a small critique but worth mentioning. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone looking to get away for a quiet weekend check out this property.

Monica is fantastic host. The campsite is clean. The yellow chalet is cute. Each cottage houses have there own personalities. They have the stuff you need for cooking and fire pit. Access to the water is good. Good for swimming boating and fishing. The hiking trails are marked. Highlly recommended if you like nature away from city noises.

The cabin was perfectly located with gorgeous views of Silver Lake. Site was very private and well maintained. Cabin was so cute and cozy offering all the comforts for a perfect glamping experience. Gazebo offered a dry spot to enjoy meals outdoors and the firepit was our gathering spot each night. Short walk brought us to the private beach site. Absolutely loved and would recommend 100%. My partner and I really loved the cabin and area despite not being able to have a fire due to the fire restrictions in the area. Super close to the most gorgeous beach (Point Petre) and nice clean level site. The bunkie is the CUTEST with adorable decor and the perfect rustic feel.

Weekend Trip to Juniper Beach Bunkie

Truly an amazing spot! The bunkie was very stylish and the set up was really well thought out. We stayed here for two nights and had the best sleep ever. We swam a bunch at Point Petre and it really made the trip for us. So much beautiful nature and so much privacy too. The host was very communicative and responsive! I will say that the bunkie can get pretty hot during the day, so I recommend choosing activities outside of the site during the day! Also make sure to pack some bug spray, the bugs were abundant and the mosquitoes were hungry at night. That being said, the bunkie has a very air tight mosquito net situation and while you are in it, you are 100% bug free which was amazing! Plus, bugs are part of the deal when you go off the grid and it was a 1000% worth it. We would def recommend and stay here again!

Jack's cabin was absolutely fantastic, we had a wonderful stay! The walk from our car was quick and the trail was well groomed and easy to navigate. The cabin itself was stunning and extremely well decorated, inside and out! Very neat, tidy and stocked with everything we could possibly need. Surrounded by beautiful forest with no neighbors in sight, the site felt private, cozy and quiet. We also appreciated the information binder about the cabin itself and the surrounding area. A great guide for nature trails, sights to see, local restaurants and entertainment. We had a wonderful time and will be sure to return!

2 nights at Juniper Beach Bunkie

When I arrived at the site, asked for an extra day because of how awesome this place was. Three nights turned out to be the perfect amount of time to explore everything we wanted at Sandbanks and enjoy the camp site. Even four nights would’ve kept us entertained! You can tell a lot of thought went into designing this spot. We especially loved being just a 3-minute drive from a stunning rock beach, perfect for sunsets and feeling refreshed.

3 nights at Backwoods Cabin Co

The cabin is cozy and has everything you need…except a shower. The listing is somewhat misleading as it says it has cold water showers and there’s only a camp shower. We got creative with washing so we made do. Just bring extra water or make a plan for bathing if you stay here. Malissa and Corey are very helpful and promptly respond to messages and requests. The kitchen is well-stocked and the DVD collection was nice to check out. There’s lots of games and a listing of places to explore the local area. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but do be warned- the mosquitos are bad, so bring lots of bug spray!

Weekend Trip to Brass Point Farm Bunkie

My partner and I loved staying at Dorothy’s bunkie! Easily accessible but still secluded and with all of the amenities you need for bunkie camping. It was my partner’s first time camping at all as an adult and the easy access to firewood, trails, bbq, and cute little sleeping arrangement made it a smooth avenue in! Thanks for the little slice of heaven!
