We offer four distinct campsites, including a “Glamping“ Canvas Tent. Each site is thoughtfully positioned to provide a sense of privacy while maximizing the breathtaking views of the surroundings. The harmonious blend of seclusion and community allow guests to enjoy the solitude of nature while sharing the experience with their companions. Basic amenities such as fire pits and picnic tables are available at each site. A portable toilet is available for your use.
Lake Access:
One of the highlights of our property is its proximity to a pristine lake, offering a picturesque setting for water-based activities. With exclusive access to the lake, we encourage you to embark on a kayaking or canoeing adventure, or simply enjoy a peaceful swim. (Kayaks and a Canoe are available to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Stargazing and Campfires:
As the sun sets over our nature reserve, the real magic begins. With minimal light pollution, our property becomes an ideal spot for stargazing! Gather around a crackling campfire at your designated site sharing stories and forging unforgettable memories under the vast expanse of the night sky.

This special little rustic cabin is nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike around the surrounding forest; stay within the property boundaries and you will discover the hydro cut and its valley view, the ravine, the waterfall, and a footpath that leads to a bridge at the back of the lot. Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings and view from the sitting rocks.
The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. Enjoy beautiful sunsets overlooking the western end of the lake.

We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin.
Common areas for all cabins include:
1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.),
2) Freezer/Fridge,
3) BBQ,
4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water),
5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and
6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water.
The large BBQ is equipped with 5 burners for the grill. There is also 1 side pot burner for foiling water and another ceramic grilling burner.
Additionally, we have three tent spots available, with one designated for each cabin. There is ample parking space for guests. You can enjoy the convenience of a shower with hot water and a BBQ pit.

From Hwy 400, get off on hwy 141. Go east towards Rosseau. Turn left at Tally Hoe/Swords, then right at Turtle lake rd and left at Star lake rd.
Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. Come experience winter! Get cozy in the quiet guesthouse on our farm. With on-site snowshoe and fat bike trails, a hill for tobogganing and an outdoor fire pit, there is non-stop fun in the winter! We are only 35 minutes from the popular skate trail and groomed cross country ski trails at Arrowhead Provincial Park and day-trip distance to Georgian Nordic, Wasi Ski Area and Algonquin Park.
Our guesthouse is situated on an old Finnish homestead, on the traditional lands of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations. The property is a mix of field, wetland, small stream and forest, along with our active organic vegetable market garden. While the guesthouse is its own private accommodation, we live and work on the same property. We run Missing Link Adventures, focused on providing cycling retreats and farm fresh meal packages. For short-term rentals, we have options for purchasing farm fresh veggies or prepared dishes during the farm season.
We are close to Doe Lake and the Magnetawan River system, where you can launch a boat, paddle and fish, and there are two public beaches suitable for small children. Other possible day trips could include a visit to Screaming Heads (walking trails & disc golf course) and The Crystal Cave, an amazing geological museum and crystal shop with other local artisans.
In spring, summer or fall, discover the fantastic road cycling routes in the area, swim at nearby beaches, walk our farm trails or simply use our space to relax, watch the birds and savour some quiet time on a large screened-in porch!
Please note that while you have the guesthouse to yourself, the guesthouse is on our farm, and we share the property. It is a quiet place for people to connect with the outdoors and enjoy each others' company. If you are looking for a place to have a loud gathering, play loud music and do a lot of drinking, this is not the right place for you. We are a working farm, and sound travels very easily throughout the property and to our neighbours.

We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin.
Common areas for all cabins include:
1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.),

3) BBQ,

Our Guest House is equipped with everything from a coffee pot and fiber-optic internet down to the wood for your private fire pit.
We welcome well-behaved 4 legged guests. Your dog will love playing with our two Aussie's and hiking the many pet friendly trails in the Huntsville area. Please leash them when they first arrive for the protection of our farm animals. Once we see their reaction to the animals, in all likelihood, we can dispense with the leash.
Over the past 2 years we have developed a Hobby Farm consisting of 5 Nigerian Dwarf Goats, 15 Exotic Hens, 2 Australian Shepherd dogs and 3 cats.
We are just minutes from 3 local beaches, Arrowhead Provincial Park, Limberlost Forest Reserve (fabulous hiking) and Algonquin Park.
Eateries and shopping are also 5 minutes from us.

Come experience winter! Get cozy in the quiet guesthouse on our farm. With on-site snowshoe and fat bike trails, a hill for tobogganing and an outdoor fire pit, there is non-stop fun in the winter! We are only 35 minutes from the popular skate trail and groomed cross country ski trails at Arrowhead Provincial Park and day-trip distance to Georgian Nordic, Wasi Ski Area and Algonquin Park.
Our guesthouse is situated on an old Finnish homestead, on the traditional lands of the Anishinabek and Mississauga Nations. The property is a mix of field, wetland, small stream and forest, along with our active organic vegetable market garden. While the guesthouse is its own private accommodation, we live and work on the same property. We run Missing Link Adventures, focused on providing cycling retreats and farm fresh meal packages. For short-term rentals, we have options for purchasing farm fresh veggies or prepared dishes during the farm season.
We are close to Doe Lake and the Magnetawan River system, where you can launch a boat, paddle and fish, and there are two public beaches suitable for small children. Other possible day trips could include a visit to Screaming Heads (walking trails & disc golf course) and The Crystal Cave, an amazing geological museum and crystal shop with other local artisans.
In spring, summer or fall, discover the fantastic road cycling routes in the area, swim at nearby beaches, walk our farm trails or simply use our space to relax, watch the birds and savour some quiet time on a large screened-in porch!
Please note that while you have the guesthouse to yourself, the guesthouse is on our farm, and we share the property. It is a quiet place for people to connect with the outdoors and enjoy each others' company. If you are looking for a place to have a loud gathering, play loud music and do a lot of drinking, this is not the right place for you. We are a working farm, and sound travels very easily throughout the property and to our neighbours.

My wife and I have been winter camping many times and this was our favorite cabin rental ever! It has been a great getaway and adventure for us and our dogs.
We arrived with alot of snow and were planning to hike. Thanks to the hosts as they have snowshoes available at the cabin! We had a blast in the trails.
The cabin's stove was perfect, kept it cozy and warm throughout the weekend.
The well water with a hand pump was an added surprise and let me tell you how good that water is! We were both talking about it all weekend.
Hosts were amazing, had fire going for when we arrived, took us to the cabin and after that it was just us.
Perfect 10/10 for us as this is exactly how we like to camp. Will be back for sure.

It was amazing! The bunkie was adorable and even in the middle of winter they accommodated.
In the winter months the access road turns into an OSFC trail! That was a bit of a shocker but we made it and it seems as though Michelle keeps it fairly maintained up until the bunkie, so thank you. Also looks like Theres a lot more to offer when Theres no snow. Definitely coming back in the summer

Weekend Trip to Beneath the Stars - Haliburton County Escape
We had an absolutely amazing weekend here, and Vanessa provided everything we could possibly need.
The wood stove was easy to maintain and keep burning, and the locale was quiet and so gorgeous. We loved coming back from a day of activities to watch old movies on vhs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.
