My wife and I went there to stay the weekend, we loved that and we are definitely going there again! Angela and Arnold are awesome hosts! We felt super welcomed to their place. The place is lovely and seems that it has come out straight from a storybook, the birds that come at our hands, super relaxing and intimate. They have a nice bbq, the space is well organized and clean, and have everything that we needed to just relax without worries. If you are wondering if you should go there’s or not, take my word, you are gonna love it, please go. Weekend Trip to Dragonfly Ridge Rescue Farm

We made a spontaneous plan for glamping at the Roost with hardly any preparation and were lucky to find a site. It was a really great experience. Our stay at the cabin was comfortable, though we didn’t have sleeping bags, our blankets were enough to keep us cozy. Sharon was very kind and gave us a wholesome tour of her farm. My kids loved feeding the animals, and bottle-feeding the baby goat was one of the highlights of the farm experience. My daughter especially enjoyed holding the goats and bunnies. Sharon also helped us light the campfire in the evening. Overall, we loved how time seemed to slow down, giving us the chance to truly savor the rustic beauty of nature.

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

We really enjoyed camping on Pennys land! The short drive to the cabin was beautiful! The trees really gave us privacy, which we loved :) The cabin was so cozy and clean, and the provided bbq, burner and propane was very convenient! Great experience!!!

2 nights at Coutts Farm

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.
