The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need. The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out. The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away. There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets. The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio Practice. Give Paige a ring if you’d like a tour, she’s usually working away. Our family lives on the top floor. Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts. Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

If you are bringing a fur baby, please let us know. It must be on a leash at all times. Please bring your fur baby's favorite blanket or bed to sleep on. We arrived just as the Friday market was getting started and enjoyed the strawberries and veggies we bought from Sue, who was a welcoming host. The farm is a lovely place to relax - we even indulged in a swim in the pond. Would love to return sometime.

Weekend Trip to Island Gertie

Loved staying in Paige's Tiny Homes! We were there with our two kids and fit quite comfortably. The kitchen has just enough of what's needed and the patio with hammock and propane fire pit was lovely. Super gracious host and Gabriola is the best. Only piece of advice is that if you're sleeping in both tiny homes, only the bigger one has heat, so bundle up. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!!

Weekend Trip to theDoighouse Earthship

Our stay in the Maple Cabin was very comfortable. A nice double bed with cotton sheets and a down duvet kept us perfectly warm and cozy. Susan was very kind and communicated well. She greeted us and showed us around the gardens and facilities when we arrived. It was the perfect jumping off point for our day trip to Qualicum Beach, Cathedral Grove, Tofino and Uclulet!

Weekend Trip to The Styx

Our stay at the Upper Dome was really cozy and comfortable. The place had everything we needed, including kitchenware we definitely felt like we came overprepared! Jimena was very welcoming, gave clear instructions, and made everything easy. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway on Galiano Island.

4 nights at Camas Creek Retreat

Camas creek was such a beautiful location and an escape from the bustle of the city at the end of our days exploring. The camas were blooming behind the cabin and the firs and spruce on the property made for fantastic birdwatching on quiet mornings before the world woke up. Heloise and Ruth made us feel right at home and looked after, and we can't wait to go back! 😊

1 night at The Styx

We had a great time at Jimena’s glamping spot on Galiano. It’s only a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal and was definitely worth the money. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into the place, especially with the furniture and the artistic design. The bedding, pillows, and linens were all super comfortable, and the toilet was clean, and aesthetic for a campsite. The dome also had a mini-fridge, fireplace, and Wi-Fi. Plus, the hosts were really easy to talk to and seemed very chill. Highly recommend!

Great spot! Easy to find. Susan and Tony were so welcoming. A brief check in to ensure we have everything we need. The wood stove was such a treat and really made it cozy. Beautiful trails nearby and the beach is so close.

We had a wonderful experience at the spa and staying in the yurt for my birthday! Each part of the spa was really well thought out and it's in a beautiful location next to a little pond. The hosts were really friendly and laid-back as well. We will definitely be back!

The pictures of this property does not do it justice. It’s is absolutely gorgeous and tranquil. Kaitlyn and Tom have created the most beautiful space. It is clean, quiet and relaxing. The hosts give you privacy and are very hospitable to anything you may need during your stay. We will be back and could not recommend this place more.

The Doighouse is a beautiful site nestled in the trees. Listening to the rain on the cabins metal roof was heavenly. The hosts are incredibly considerate, welcoming and warm. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice spot to just get away from life for a few days!
