We are located on the edge of the wilderness just 30 minutes north of Victoria. Our camping area is very quiet and private. We are next to a spring fed lake that contains trout and small mouth bass and it is great for swimming during the summer months. There are no motor boats permitted on the lake, however it is perfect for paddle boards, floaties and kayaks. There are several walking trails throughout our 10 acre property and the Trans Canada Trail is just minutes away.
We have a large lawn for playing frisbee or bocce ball and a corn hole pitch (also known as beanbag toss). There is a fire pit, pinic table, 2 patios with tables, chairs and umbrellas and a pit toilet. A sink and potable water are also available.
We are situated in forested land on the edge of the wilderness. There is deer, bear, cougar, beaver, martins and an abundance of birds in the area.
This is a great location for those hiking or biking the Trans-Canada Trail.
Adults and small dogs only.
Currently our sites are only available on weekdays and is unavailable from November to the end of April.

Parking for the tipi is 80 - 100' from the tipi. An outdoor sink is about 45' from the tipi, the outhouse is a 2-3 minute walk through the meadow.

If you camped with us last year we moved just down the road. Closer to our beach more private no road noise bigger sites on 102 acres. The waves will be the only noise you hear at night. We are still located near all the popular places to visit. And our private beach is just down the road from our campground. You might have seen "Private Beach Front" Property campground on hipcamp that is our property too. We have a canvas bell tent on one end of our beach.

We are located on the edge of the wilderness just 30 minutes north of Victoria. Our camping area is very quiet and private. We are next to a spring fed lake that contains trout and small mouth bass and it is great for swimming during the summer months. There are no motor boats permitted on the lake, however it is perfect for paddle boards, floaties and kayaks. There are several walking trails throughout our 10 acre property and the Trans Canada Trail is just minutes away.
We have a large lawn for playing frisbee or bocce ball and a corn hole pitch (also known as beanbag toss). There is a fire pit, pinic table, 2 patios with tables, chairs and umbrellas and a pit toilet. A sink and potable water are also available.
We are situated in forested land on the edge of the wilderness. There is deer, bear, cougar, beaver, martins and an abundance of birds in the area.
This is a great location for those hiking or biking the Trans-Canada Trail.
Adults and small dogs only.
Currently our sites are only available on weekdays and is unavailable from November to the end of April.

Evergreen Campground offers San Juan Island camping among the pines, cedar, and salal berry bushes of three acres of old-growth forest. Our four cleared, groomed, and carefully placed sites offer privacy, a picnic table, two camp chairs, a raised tent platform, a fire pit, and a view of Sportmans Lake through the trees. Each campsite accommodates two adults and includes parking for one vehicle in our adjacent lot. A Porta-potty and a hand-washing station are common to the campground.
Evergreen Campground Policies
- All site rates are nightly.
- A non-refundable deposit of one night is required and charged at the time of reservation.
- Check-in time is 1:00 pm.
- Check-out time is 11:00 am.
- Property-wide quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.
- Due to our fragile environment, pets are not allowed.
- We are an adults-only facility.
General Information
- Due to a lack of provider coverage in the middle of the island, most cell phones do not receive reception on our property, and internet service is unreliable.
- There are coin-operated showers at the Port of Friday Harbor Marina in Friday Harbor and at Roche Harbor Marina.
- We are located less than five miles north of the Friday Harbor ferry landing.

I have stayed at this HipCamp in the past and liked it so much I decided to come back. The sites themselves offer the basics: table, chairs, fire pit, tent spot. But the best parts of this campground are the outdoor kitchens, outdoor game area, and all of the wooden gnomes to find. I would come back here for another stay!

This place is such a gem! Beautifully maintained, quiet, and great location to Sol Duc hot springs and Olympic National Park. Logan was super responsive with any questions I had. The campground is super charming with lots of wooden statues and string lights around. Bonus that there are bathrooms and a shower! Can’t wait to return next summer.

Really cool space. I stayed in camp 0. While folks with mobility issues may struggle a bit with being up hill, I didn't find it to be an issue at all and the cheaper price meant I could stay longer. That being said, all the sites looked great. The kitchen was so nice for breakfast and to cook up the mushrooms I foraged nearby. Eventually the shower curtain will need to be changed but that hot shower in a cold night was amazing. Super close to so many things. I'll definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely stay at Mountain Shadow RV & Campground. The host was helpful and welcoming. The store was super convenient. The bathrooms were nicely updated and very clean! Yes, its right off the highway so you do get some noise if you stay closer to the front of the site but that didn't really bother us! If you are looking for a super rustic in the forest stay, this isn't it, but if you are looking for a well kept, centrally located stay with a nice community vibe, do it!

We stayed at the Goldfinch site. Really beautiful area. It's a bit of a walk in from parking but James provides a cart and the sites are beautifully cleared and each have a firepit and a platform for a tent. He provided a box of water as well . Porta potty up near the entrance is clean as a porta potty can be. Partner ran into a cougar walking along the trail back to the parking area at night though so best to be mindful that there is a lot of wildlife in the area.
