We loved loved our stay. Such nice people and the tent is amazing. We went in May and at 5 degrees at night it was pretty cold. So we recommend heaters if you’re not carrying it. But other than that if was fantastic.

We absolutely loved staying in the Tiny Cabin at the Secret Sanctuary! Denika and her family were wonderful, and the farm fresh breakfast the next morning was divine!

What a great experience. Beautiful spred, everything you need. Everything was clean and everything had the feeling of just going the extra mile. It was like having a nice clean hotel room on an acreage. Couple friendly dogs to pet, heated outdoor shower. We will definetly be back. Hidden gem

The place is so nice. It is perfect for someone who wants some kind of serenity, quiet and peaceful environment. They have the place set up perfectly. Me and my husband enjoyed our “me time” together. They have a very good service and the owners are warm and friendly.

I booked this site for my husband and daughter to stay at. I was unable to join them but they said it was fantastic. It was very quiet and the site was very spacious (unlike many campgrounds where you are jammed in so tight you can hear the other campers conversations. My daughter loved having visits from the owners dogs and visiting the lamas! I would 100% book here again and highly recommend!

Site 1: Secret Sanctuary
We had an amazing weekend at the Secret Sanctuary Retreat. The site was big and can fit our three families comfortably. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the campground, and everyone raved about the composting toilets lol. Thank you for having us. Look forward to returning next year!

Site 2: Sunset Blvd.
Sites were well spaced out and private! Close to Ma-me-o beach (~20 minutes) was a big plus. Compost toilets are easily the best I've seen, no smell and cleaned daily when I was there. Already booked my next trip there!

Tiny Home Cabin
Our family of 5 really enjoyed our time at the Tiny Cabin. It was just what we needed: an escape from the city. We loved the dogs and the lamas, the campfire each night and the beautiful location with the spectacular night skies. Thank you so much Denika et al. For such a wonderful opportunity.

This was a great stay for the price. The homemade, farm fresh breakfasts were amazing as well, and it's easy to tell that a lot of love and care was put into the food!
I did find it a little less private as it wasn't far from the glamping tent and some of the artificial light at night and sounds from the neighbours, but I didn't find it a dealbreaker. Beautiful and rather isolated spot in the trees, just note that there's basically no cell service so if you're using a map on your phone, remember to download an offline map or bring your GPS if you're travelling around the area or going to the nearby lakes (I almost got lost at Battle Lake on a day trip, haha).

Beautiful, secluded, campsite. Lots of trees and nature around you. Quiet and well maintained. Lots to do within Denika's property and surrounding area. Would highly recommend and will definitely camp here again.

Tiny Home Cabin
The Secret Sanctuary is a great little hidden gem not too far from Edmonton. Quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place for stargazing away from light pollution. There are plenty of opportunities to connect with nature: walking trails through the woods, llamas and chickens, and some friendly dogs that love to hang out with visitors (which could be positive or negative, depending on your opinion of dogs). The hosts are attentive and helpful. The composting toilet next to the Tiny Home Cabin is well-maintained and convenient, we never felt uncomfortable using it. The cabin itself is lived-in but still felt clean and comfortable.

Perfect dark-sky spot to watch the meteor shower and Aurora Borealis. Lovely hosts, wonderful glamping and delicious breakfast. Only 15 minutes from Village at Pigeon with great dining, groceries and gifts.

The glamping tent is like a luxury hotel in the peaceful calm of the wood. I've stayed at the Aspen glamping tent multiple times and each time there are new improvements to the space! The site now has a gazebo raincover over the picnic table, two really nice director-style camping chairs, and gorgeous lights outside the tent to easily find home at night. The peace and serenity you find at The Secret Sanctuary is unmatched. I will always return to this beautiful space year after year. Thank you to Nic, Denika, Veona, and their Community members for keeping the space in beautiful operating condition!

Aspen Glamping Tent
It was amazing getaway, definitely better than expected. It was raining this weekend, but still we had a gazebo that helped us alot.
The tent itself is very cozy, clean and comfortable. As we went in as group of friends this place is more suitable for a couple.
The hosts were amazing and responsive.

Our stay at the cabin just an hour away from Edmonton was fantastic! The cabin was almost fully equipped with everything we needed, making our experience comfortable and enjoyable. The owner was incredibly welcoming and warm, adding a personal touch to our visit. The place itself was lovely and meticulously clean, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One highlight was the outdoor shower, which we absolutely loved—it provided a refreshing and unique way to connect with nature. Overall, our getaway was a delightful escape, offering everything we could have hoped for in a peaceful retreat close to the city.

Site 3: Leaf & Stone
Denika’s camp site was very beautiful and peaceful. The dogs and lamas were very friendly. We fed them some bananas peels and they were so gentle. I loved the gift shop and paddle boarding. My partner and I were looking for a romantic get away and we were very happy with our trip and loved that it was 420 friendly. 10/10 recommend 🙂👍🏼

The secret sanctuary was such a hidden gem to have discovered. Huge luscious trees surrounded out glamping tent. It was often so quiet the only thing we heard was trees dancing in the wind and bird songs. The tent was very luxurious to camp in. Comfortable bed. It didn’t leak at all when the rain showered us for a few hours. Nice clean outhouse. The spring water tasted so fresh. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. The hosts are incredibly kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. The sunsets literally brought a test to my eye they are so stunning. I loved adventuring through the trails and seeing all the little additions they’ve included.

Such a gorgeous space. The tent is so spacious, the bed is so cozy and the camp site secluded. I cannot recommend this site enough. They hosted someone doing a plant education walk while we were there that was a hit. I absolutely love the hosts. I have stayed at multiple sites and cannot tell enough people to come check out The Secret Sanctuary.

Tiny Home Cabin
We had a fantastic stay at Secret Sanctuary Tiny Home Cabin. We loved every detail of the cabin, it has all you need but with out the noise. Its really relaxing stay. Good place to enjoy with camp fire with perfect climate and ambiance. Denika's hospitality is second to none. I highly recommend this place.. We love it. Definitely going to book again.
