Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Ingelara Farm is a working organic biodynamic family farm. Located 65 km from Canberra and 50 km from Cooma. We grow potatoes, garlic, pumpkins and a variety of summer vegetables as well as running 60 head of angus cows. We are excited to offer rustic accommodation on the farm, perfect for those wanting to enjoy the tranquillity of country life, a drink at the campfire, bush walks, fishing in our large fresh water dam or as a base to explore the Snowy Mountains. You have a choice of two shipping containers, both furnished with a double bed. As well as two campsites to pitch your own tent, on a flat grassy area near the converted shipping containers. A shared toilet and hot shower is located 80m from the accommodation. You will have access to drinking water if required. Please also note: - Arriving time is strictly between 2pm and no later than 8pm at night . - Checking out time is 12 pm. - The driveway from the highway to the site is a gravel road suitable for 2WD however please drive according to conditions - The site is located near the farm sheds, whilst we will respect your privacy you will be staying on a working farm consequently some movement and noise will not be avoidable between 8am and dark. - You are welcome to try your luck fishing in the dam or if you have a kayak and life jacket you can bring for a paddle, however please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children. - We provide firewood at an extra cost of $20/bundle - As there is no council bin service available we ask that you take your rubbish with you. - Full telephone signal available for Telstra, however, any other provider is patchy. - Please note that there are farm dogs on the property, and no other pets are allowed.

Millwood is located 6kms from COOMA n.s.w. in the Snowy Mountains Region and is within easy reach to a number of great locations. It is about 90 minutes from Canberra, just over an hour from Thredbo and Perisher and Mt Selwyn snowfields and 1.5 hours from all the beautiful beaches that the South Coast has to offer. A short drive of under 7 minutes takes you to the Murrumbidgee River on a sealed council road. There is a flat grassed picnic area and council gas run b-bques under cover. You may find internet and mobile not fully covered here. I have a mobile that I use which works well depending where I stand. Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

We are using technology to create energy and resource efficient accommodation. Our 2 bedroom spacious cottages are spread out on our 30ac Snow Gum Parklands. Each cottage is private with plenty of area to expand and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hotplates and micro wave. There is a bath room with shower and toilet with another separate toilet and drying room. We are only 2klm to the centre of town but it may as well be 100klm away as there is many native animals and flora and no neighbours. We are located next to Jindabyne Airstrip. There are very few flights in and out of the airstrip which is a real novelty if you see an aircraft. Our unique cottages are powered by solar power with no grid connect and use rain water that falls on site. All our linen is washed in spring water by on site solar power and dried by wind and sunlight which is a huge saving to the environment. Our cottages are constructed using local granite so they can blend into the environment. The new cottages are built to be insulated from the Winter cold and the Summer heat. Double glazed and double insulated cottages which are orientated to make the use of the Sun where the hot summer Sun does not enter the cottages and in Winter the Sun flows in to keep the cottages warm. In Winter with the use of a wood fired heater the cottages stay toasty warm and if not regulated properly can get quiet hot. Our Snow Gum woodland environment supports native birds and animals which come and go as they please.

3 nights at Kosciuszko Base Camp

My kids and I really enjoyed staying at Kosciuszko Base Camp. We went during the July school holidays. The cabin is very comfortable, and has a nice view of the gardens across the road. All bedding and kitchen utensils are provided. The TV and aircon were easy to use. Electric blankets and heaters were a nice touch. The pub is a short walk door to door and does good meals. The Western Rose cafe (across the rd from the pub) was a great coffee and breakfast destination in the morning before driving up to Thredbo to play in the snow.

Weekend Trip to The Lodge at Tinneburra

Tinnenburra Lodge is a great place to stay with young kids. Amazing views from the house with the river by the house, comfortable facilities and lovely grounds to go wandering about to explore. The stars at night were incredible, the morning fog exciting to walk through with the kids, the fire pit always a hit, the only sad part was having to leave. Great host as well with clear instructions and grounds information.

The hut is warm and cosy with the fire going, the spot is beautiful and Diane the host is really lovely and accommodating. My partner and I had a great two nights here and felt relaxed and well looked after. The hut itself feels private despite proximity to the main house. The view out of the big window by the bed and sunrise in the morning make it worth a trip! If you do stay, make sure to visit Miss Heidi's Teahouse nearby!

I really enjoyed my time at Binjura Bush Hut. The hut was exactly as described, very comfortable with a great bed, lovely views, easy to find and a very nice set-up. Diane was very helpful with any questions I had and gave me tips for exploring the area. There are two other campsites in the area, but they're on the plateau below the hut and there is good privacy. Diane runs a day spa and gave me an outdoor reflexology session and neck, back and face massage on her outside table - very relaxing and professional treatment. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Weekend Trip to Ingelara Farm

We had a great time in the Green Container! We got the solitude and nature-hit that we were craving, while being afforded luxuries that you can't get from a tent experience. The container was comfortable, warm and they provided everything that we could want. Beatrice was extremely kind and even suggested a few activities around the area, which we found to be our perfect way to spend the days we had there. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking to escape the city, while still being able to easily get your morning cup of coffee ;)
