Location from Sydney We are approximately 228.9km via Great Western Highway/A32 from Sydney CBD. It is part of the village known as Newbridge which is 3km from the property. It is an easy 30km drive to Bathurst and 50km to Orange with only 15km away from Blayney. La Pinata is also a short drive to Milthorpe and Carcoar - all lovely award winning quaint towns worth visiting where you can take in the history and enjoy great food and wine. A great country escape destination! Even the Newbridge Train Station remains treasured by residents and fondly remembered as the stopover for Queen Elizabeth II during her 1954 royal visit! Newbridge is fortunate to have a local pub, known as the Gladestone Hotel. A a restaurant serving modern cuisine and live music most Sunday afternoons (need to check with Pub for confirmation of entertainment 02 6368 1004). This is approximately 2.7kms from La Pinata! The Property La Pinata is circa 161 Ha (400 acres) in size. Altitude of approx 900m. Over half of the land is clear, the land is mostly undulating with some steeper areas. There are 7 paddocks. Stock water is supplied by dams in all paddocks with a permanent Evans Plains Creek that flows through the property which is a wonderful spot for bushwalking. There is also a bore that provides water to our water tanks. The Property also offers a pine forest, which is cooling on hot summer days, and in the colder months, it is a winter wonderland adventure. A perfect part of the property to do many things: picnicking in the wild whilst collecting pinecones, wildflowers or simply admiring the majestic views of the Fitzgerald Valley and the Blue Mountains over a glass of local wine and cheese. The Barn Style Cabin La Pinata, for a unique glamping experience, offers a barn style cabin dwelling with all the comforts of a home but with a rustic cabin experience. A majority of the barn style cabin and its amenities have been built from recycled material, this includes the furniture which is mostly recycled or pre-loved. We are also using off the grid electricity and water supply. It has 7 sleeping rooms with 1 ensuite and 2 Bathrooms. One of the 7 sleeping rooms has a cot. It has a well-equipped open Kitchen with 5 pit stove, oven, blender, and toaster. The open living area has 3 spaces to enjoy: • 8–10-seater dining area • 3-piece lounge area (TV, with Netflix and Foxtel) • A study/reading Nook area • Another area just off the kitchen is a lovely space where you can read or relax. We have also provided a dart board and other board games for those competitive nights of fun! The barn has laundry facilities and wifi. Other Services that can be provided-coordinated Picasso Paint and Wine Experience Ask the host regarding our Picasso Paint and Wine Experience at La Pinata for groups of 8 to 12 guests. It is a lovely way to enjoy the afternoon sunset with your group, enjoying your wine and painting! 4 weeks' notice required to coordinate. Vale Creek Wines At La Pinata we can organise a wine tasting experience. The winery is called Vale Creek, located approximately 23.5kms from Newbridge (Gladestone Hotel). Vale Creek’s Cellar Door provides tastings in a relaxed setting overlooking the winery. Their wines are from clones sourced from superior vineyards in Italy – www.valecreek.com.au. The owners are delightful and welcoming. They are opened most weekends. The winery has many events occurring through the month and if it coincides with your trip, we will be more than happen to share the event with you and if you wish we can organise the wine tasting booking for you as well. Revelstone offers base camps for 2WD vehicles and mountain camps for 4WD vehicles and most 2WD vehicles. Explore six kilometres of driving tracks, abundant wildlife, large granite rock formations and spectacular views. All sites are well marked and have fire pits. Our most popular campsite, as voted by campers, is Campers Den. The site with the best views (although I may be biased!) is Kooyong. Firewood is scattered around the property, so feel free to help yourself. Revelstone offers six kilometres of tracks to explore, with amazing rock formations throughout. Please remember to leave all gates as you find them, whether open or closed. Wyangala Dam and village are nearby, offering water sports, fishing and nature walks. Elliot's Lookout is a scenic spot with fantastic views of the dam and backwaters. Cowra township is a 20-minute drive away and well worth a visit. The Reflections Holiday Park shop at the dam offers general supplies, coffee and hot food. Revelstone Mountain Camps offers camping with fantastic views and plenty of space for scenic hikes. There's lots of wildlife, including kangaroos, rabbits and foxes. There are 14 designated camping areas to choose from. You might also like to try the Revelstone Tepee Tent adventure or the Twin Hammock Camp. Please do not cut down or use any standing trees, even if they appear dead, as they are part of the mountain landscape. We have a 34 acre hobby farm with sheep, goats, chooks, geese and a chestnut orchard situated up in the hills of Turondale approximately 40km north of Bathurst. We have lots of vantage points to see the majestic views on offer. Sorry no wifi available, but have excellent phone reception. It's just 6km drive to the Turon River where you can swim, picnic, fossick for gold and fish. The historic gold mining towns of Hill End and Sofala are close by as well. It's nature's paradise here. We have local kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, many varieties of birdlife including kookaburras, rosellas, king parrots, finches and wedgetail. Not dog friendly due to livestock concerns. Clives Manor has a fire inside for those cold winter nights. BYO firewood or we can supply bagged firewood and kindling for an additional cost. Fire pit can be used most times of the year except when we have a fire ban in place.

If you like camping and staying in something unique Artisans Park is the place for you, If you want a luxurious five star stay we are defiantly not the place our stays are basic and clean. 1949 London Bus, WW2 Army Tower, 1885 Trig Hut Artisans Park is located 45 minutes from Bathurst and is the closest city for food and fuel. We do not have local shops or fuel stations. The London bus is suitable for children as the upper deck houses the bedroom. The lower deck houses the kitchen and bathroom with a front deck complete with barbecue and amazing views. Relax and watch the kangaroos and eagles from your private deck. Summer swimming in the crystal clear river and winter camp fires where you can toast marshmallows. The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. This bus has featured on many TV shows and is often featured in travel magazines, including on Better Homes and Gardens television in 2013 and in many magazines shoots. No pets please. once again no pets including dogs.

We absolutely loved our frosty mid-winter getaway at the Hideaway! It’s such a beautiful, secluded little spot, with a pretty creek running nearby and a real feeling of being tucked away from everything. We stayed in mid-July, so probably about as cold as it gets, but the tiny cabin was surprisingly easy to get warm and cosy with the potbelly stove, and the fire-heated shower was an unexpected treat – wonderfully toasty! We definitely overpacked with warm clothes and extra bedding, but it turns out we needed every bit of it. And bring gloves – they were absolutely essential for those frosty mornings! The cabin was clean, comfortable and full of rustic charm, and we really enjoyed the whole off-grid experience. A gorgeous little hideaway for anyone wanting some peace, seclusion and a proper winter escape. We’d definitely recommend it!

Wow, wow, wow! This property is simply amazing. The log cabin is so cosy and full of charm, and the surrounding landscape is absolutely stunning. We loved exploring the land and spotting wildlife – wombats, foxes and so many beautiful birds. It's also perfectly located close to Oberon Dam for a day of fishing. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We do not want to leave!!

Great time away at Artisans with the kids. 2 nights in the army hut, and 2 in the bus. Best of both worlds - we got that off the grid feeling, being in the bush, making fires. But also you had a proper bed to sleep in. Glenn put the generator on for warm showers and some clothes washing in the main building. The bus was a lot roomier and warmer in the middle of winter as you could keep the wood fired heater on low overnight.

I spent four nights here with my dog, Max, because I needed to escape the noise and pressure of city life. I've always loved the idea of a rustic log cabin in the woods, and Annabelle's Hideaway is exactly that. The hand-built Canadian-style log cabin is beautifully decorated and feels like stepping back in time, while still offering thoughtful comforts like a clean eco toilet, a kitchen with a sink, and a hot shower with an incredible view. Within two nights I was sleeping right through until morning for the first time in years. The simple rhythm of cooking over the fire, collecting water from the creek (or using the tank water provided), no phone reception, and complete peace helps you slow down and leave the stress of everyday life behind. Before long, the sounds of traffic and notifications are replaced by birdsong and silence. If you're looking to truly disconnect and recharge, I can't recommend this place highly enough. PS I used my almost 30 year old 4x4 on demand Honda CR-V and it handled the step right driveway easily with so slip at all but I had good weather with no rain. In wet weather you'll probably need low range 4WD to get back up. You can walk it from the gate however.

Just unpacked our bags from our stay at The Hideaway - miss it already! After reading the reviews, I trusted my gut & booked Annabelle's cabin for a surprise anniversary getaway. The whole experience was unreal from the drive up to the mountains & into the forest. We were greeted by lush nature & animals. Definitely a 4WD route which our little Jeep handled well. Getting into the property was even more magical. The quaint cabin was completely surrounded by trees. Inside was a well-made queen bed - cosy pillows, quilts & a dining set for 2. The amazing potbelly stove kept us warm for 2 nights. The modern outhouse had an eco toilet, a rainwatern shower with shower stuff & toilet paper lovingly supplied. An adequate kitchenette at the side had a double sink, pans, kettle & dish soap. The bbq was out of use at the time of our stay due to a missing hose. She let us know ahead so we brought our a camping stove. (Pls check at the time of your booking if this has been sorted). I've saved the best for last - the firepit - which my husband loved the most! There's plenty of firewood for our entire stay. Bit of a struggle to keep the fire going when it's been raining but that's the whole point of going off-grid! You just forget about your phone & let nature take over - watching the fire, foraging mushrooms & exploring the path down the river. Thank you for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven, Annabelle. It's the perfect glamping adventure for city folk who wish to disconnect!
