Figtree Farm at Findon Creek is a 600-acre natural oasis. Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded valley, this hidden gem is surrounded by Long Creek to the south and Findon Creek to the west, while the northern edge extends to the Dedicated Wilderness of the Border Ranges National Park. This much-loved family-owned farm has a rich history, transitioning from a dairy farm to a beef property. Today, it flourishes with a bio-diverse planting of native trees and a joinery workshop crafting designer furniture. Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people). In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred). Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd. Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Welcome to Emu creek Retreat One of the best destinations for hiking, camping, bushwalking, swimming, Kayaking, fishing, mountain bike riding (bicycles only), bird watching, 4wdriving and even fossicking., Dogs, men's best friend, are definitely welcome. But if your dog is not friendly or is likely to venture into someone else camping area, than will have to be on a leash. If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m high waterfall, nature at it's best. In the vicinity you have the Clarence river at Paddy's Flat Road and Hootons Road within minutes drive from the property. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in 1993 was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. The front section is undulating with plantation forest (spotted gum) and bushland, towards the back it has mountains, steep terrain and millions of trees with spectacular views and great hiking tracks.

The camp kitchen and sites along the creek are within sight to the main house (50m) and shed home (30m), however if weather permits sites in the paddock for more privacy can be selected. We have old macadamia and pecan trees. Goats, sheep, cows and a miniature pony graze on our paddocks. At times we can offer eggs from our chickens and produce from the garden. The property is located just 5 minutes drive to the town of Nimbin, The perfect place to rest a while, to relax, rejuvenate and let Mother Nature work her charms. We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere. Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops. Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle. This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home! Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

Absolutely perfect, we could not recommend staying in the cabin more! Kathryn has thought of everything, right down to the smallest details. From the freshly baked sourdough and mulberry jam on arrival, to pre-filling watering cans for the kids. Everything was intentional, and so welcoming. The gardens are stunning. There’s something magical in every nook and cranny, with so many beautiful spaces to relax and unwind. My favourite was the tea garden, curling up there in the afternoon with a tea (or wine!) and a good book was bliss. The experience for the kids was just as special, with daily crafts in the fairy garden, and being able to have drinks delivered while they created made it feel like a proper little retreat for everyone. They had the best time making things, sipping milkshakes, and exploring with other children, showing off all their favourite spots. Kathryn and Phil are incredible hosts, and hearing about their future plans has us already planning our return! Don’t hesitate booking, go see for yourselves!

We stayed with our child at Kathryn and Phillip's cabin. Everything was amazing, every detail is thought through. The area is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It was very relaxing. Lots of different areas at the garden for kids, amazing crafts as well. A lot of energy and love put into this place and you can definitely see and feel it!

Weekend Trip to Tallebudgera Veg Sanctuary.

The cabin was amazing! I really felt so in tune. No electricity up there means you get to really delve into nature, no distractions! The fireplace was phenomenal and the view was stunning. Definitely need a 4WD to get up there especially if it’s just rained. Quick drive down to the toilet, showers and electricity to charge my belongings. The temple was beautiful and there were so many peacocks everywhere! Doctor T was very friendly and I got to explore a lot of the property. Highly recommend going on the rope swing at the river if you’re game.

Stayed a few nights in a cabin, the bird and running water sounds of the river made it so peaceful. Sat by a fire and enjoyed the stars, swam in the rapids, just a Great place to get away from it all! BACK TO NATURE!! We loved our stay. We booked The Woody and it was perfect for the weekend. We're looking forward to returning with the tent to explore the rest of the property. The outdoor bath tub was luxury and easy to fill with hot water. Great setup. Lots of charm and super comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Creek Rainforest Treehouse

The red cabin is so beautiful. Right in a clear running crew that you can listen to all day and night. You can watch the water flow from the kitchen. A beautiful claw footed bath for a long hot bath. The owners are so lovely and friendly. We booked the cabin anda tent site it fit 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The views of the mountains all around and lush green trees is so relaxing. We took a walk around and saw the dam and walked up the creek bed. We even found glow in the dark mushrooms near the cabin at night.
