We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security. When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!! Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. There is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration). You will be likely not see another human in your time down there. Theres plenty of space for large groups and vehicles. As to maintain the private and secluded nature of this site, we have limited the space to 1 site only so you'll have the place to yourself! The bottom camp is small and level - good for single groups of 1-2 vehicles, the upper camp is on a bit of a slope and may require chocks for vans and the like, but great for larger groups. Hi and welcome to Vista 180. Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby. If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Gaze over the farmlands, watch glorious sunrises, sunsets and checkout the stars! Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast. We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels. You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice. Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland. It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre. Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them! Your own toilet is a necessity. Campfires (when conditions permit) are to be in the provided firepits. Garbage and Recycle bins are provided. We can provide electricity and water to fill your tanks or hookup at Site 1 only - Refer Extras. We can supply firewood, kayaks and pushbikes - Refer Extras. We love where we live and we hope you enjoy your stay here at Vista 180.

Truly excellent sites at Banjos. Joanne was most accommodating when we arrived offering to show us the property to see where best suited us whilst not hindering the others there. Access is slightly rutted but our 21ft road caravan made it into the first area with no issues just take your time :) Landscape views were amazing and there was so much space and privacy which was perfect. Definitely recommend this camp to those who are self contained and who want some space for themselves. 10/10. Thanks Jo!

Banjo’s Retreat was an absolute gem. Jo and Barry were such wonderful hosts — incredibly friendly, thoughtful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. You can really tell they care about creating a special experience for their guests. The campsite itself was unbelievably peaceful. It had such a sense of serenity, overlooking the paddock and dam with the beautiful Watagan Mountains in the background. Waking up and winding down to the sound of bellbirds and other native birdlife, with a fresh breeze drifting through, was just magic. There are so many lovely bushwalks nearby, and after a day of exploring, it was so relaxing to sit by the campfire in the evening and soak it all in. One of the loveliest touches was watching the cows slowly wander past to say hello — it really added to the charm of the whole stay. Access was also excellent. We had no trouble getting in and out with our 4WD and off-road 19.61’ off-grid caravan, even in the rain, which was a huge plus. A beautiful, restful spot to switch off and reconnect with nature. 1 night at Ingenia Holidays Lake Macquarie

Probably the busiest site I've been so far. But it is well maintained. Lots of people can be a bit overwhelming but I always felt good about where I'm. Good amenities, lovely pool, friendly staff. Most of the spots are flat. Getting in town could be challenging on a Sunday. All in all loved the stay

Campsites right off the freeway, views of the bush or the cow paddocks . We nearly had the place to ourselves, very peaceful. Lots to do in the area. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect camping spot, big green grassed area surrounded by trees and paddocks. The cows came up to the fence in the afternoon and the morning - super peaceful spot will definitely stay again

Great spot. Well located close to shops if needed. Private and lively bush setting. Some sites will need a 4WD to access but there are alternatives if you only have 2WD.
