Rocky River Play Station is a working bush property on the banks of the Timbarra River, about 20 km / 30 minutes south of Drake Village — an old gold-mining community tucked in the back of NSW Northern Rivers. This is a place for slowing down, sitting on grass, swimming in rivers, watching light change across the hills, and resting amongst the wildlife and our resident cows.
Your hosts live further back on the property. We’re close enough to help if needed, but far enough away that you’ll feel properly off-grid.
There is no mobile reception, which is part of the magic.
This is a leave-no-trace property:
- There are no bins — please take all rubbish with you when you leave.
- Campfires welcome when there is no fire ban.
- Facilities vary by site — please check individual listings carefully and come prepared.
Pets may be possible by request. We love visiting animals, but we also protect our local wildlife and grass-powered lawnmowers (the cows), so approval is on a case-by-case basis.

Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield.
Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm.
Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes.
When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay!
Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained.
When staying at “West View”, we supply Tea, Coffee, Muesli, Full Cream Milk, fresh Eggs from our Hens, Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil, Cast Iron cook ware and a portable sink for cleaning Utensils etc. Also supplied are Plates, Knives & Forks etc. Portable Gas Cooker also supplied if not using the Fire Pit.

Never Never Park is a Sub-Tropical Rainforest property which borders the ancient Gondwana World Heritage National Park on 2 sides including along Coopernook creek. Located half an hours drive Northeast of Dorrigo and 1 hour West of Coffs Harbour (via Eastern Dorrigo Way) in the beautiful Bellingen Shire, surrounded by various National Parks with 4WD tracks, crystal clear creeks, waterfalls, cascades, swimming holes and picnic areas.
The property is 400 acres featuring spring fed mountain streams, cascades and waterfalls that run through its central gorge. First surveyed in 1906 and logged in the days of bullocks and hand saws, remnants of a bygone era remain including the “Jack Feeney Memorial Giant Tallowwood Tree”, a Champion Tree of Australia listed in the National Register of Big Trees. It’s over 50m tall, more than 1000 years old, and was around long before Captain Cook reached our shores.
The landscape starts in dense Sub-Tropical Rainforest opening up to lush green pastures overlooking the amazing views to the west showcasing hedge-rowed rolling hillsides and 1600m high mountain range towards Marengo.
The local fauna is amazing and quite rare, featuring the locals of the Gondwana Rainforests, Koala’s, Wallabies, Paddy Melons, Lyre Birds, Satin Bower Birds, Glossy Black Cockatoo’s, King parrots, Crimson Rosella’s, Wedgetail Eagles, Catbirds, Riflebirds, Fairy wrens, Diamond pythons, Water dragons, Giant Panda snails, Glow Worms, Fire Flys and many more… including our Horses, Cows, Chooks and Bees.
Similarly, the flora is very diverse including Native Tall Hardwoods, various types of Palms and tree ferns, Rainforest and flowering Trees, Vines, flowering grasses, Stag Elk horns and other epiphytes, Crows nests, Mosses, Orchids and more.
A magical land that time forgot - Tranquil and Peaceful. Twenty minutes from the highway- the 60-acre farm is a quiet oasis in a rural community. Fairlight was purpose-built for guests who have described it as comfy, relaxing, well-stocked, private, and different. The timber interiors and antique pieces add a touch of charm. One guest sai,d "it was like stepping back to a more relaxed time". Another saw the main bedroom and sighed "How romantic!"
A booking is for 2 guests and the cottage can accommodate 2 extra people.

Our accommodation would perfectly suit a few couples, 2 families or a group of up to 10 people. Your booking will include both The Cottage and The Shed.
'The Cottage' is open plan with loft style accommodation with 2 x queen beds, 2 x KS and 2 x floor mattresses. It has a lounge room area with TV, small kitchenette and bathroom. All linen is provided.
'The Shed' is also open style accommodation with 3 x double beds and 1 x KS. It also has a bathroom with laundry, Kitchenette, the kids pool table and a ping pong table. All bed linen for this area is stored in a tub in the shed and beds can be made up by guests as needed. Just bring towels!
Making memories is what we are about whether that be fishing, swimming, kayaking, watching the races in the bar over a game of pool or just sitting by the fire with your favorite tunes to relax and unwind. Some guests may be lucky enough spot a platypus or even witness the mustering team in action from a distance.
For those adventure lovers out there, who enjoy canoeing or kayaking, you may want to take advantage of being on section one of 'The Longest Whitewater Trail in Australia'. If you enjoy 4WD adventures a day trip to The Junction at the Nymboi-Binderay National Park is well worth the drive.
The closest town to get supplies is Coutts crossing, approx 22km drive. There is a BP service station with a general store and post office inside. Here you can also grab a coffee and takeaway food. Coutts Crossing also has a Tavern which does lunch and dinner most days and locally run raffles most Friday nights.

Yeoman Farm is an operating cattle breeding property located on the Nymboida River, 50 kilometres southwest of Grafton. It boasts 4 kilometres of Nymboida River frontage, granting you exclusive access to explore during your stay.
Activities include stunning walking and hiking tracks, swimming, fishing (catch and release only), and kayaking. You can enjoy picnics by the river or higher up, taking in the breathtaking views.
In the afternoons and evenings, unwind with a drink around the fire at the cottage while admiring the stunning sunsets or gazing at the star-studded skies. An information booklet will be available in the cottage.
The accommodation comprises 3 rooms with 2 queen beds and 2 king singles in the third room, making it ideal for 4 adults and 2 children.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful, welcoming, and truly like a home away from home. The property itself was stunning, with the most beautiful views that made every morning and evening feel so special.

This place is wonderful. We stayed in the cabin with the spa, and my it was wonderful to sit in the spa looking at rhe stars at night. The accomidation is great, the price is very fair, everything was clean, everything you need and all the animals were friendly 😀. Had such a lovely stay here! Chris was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the campsite had everything we needed, including hot water which was a big plus. The river right next to the camp was beautiful — we went kayaking and had an awesome time. The fire pit at night was definitely a highlight too, such a nice vibe to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Super peaceful, well looked after, and a great spot to unwind. Would definitely recommend 😊

Weekend Trip to Petaurus Gardens
Really enjoyable stay for 2 nights.
We stayed in one of the tents and everything was really well presented. They have a little camp kitchen where you can cook on the bbq and sit undercover and enjoy your meal.
Great hot water in the showers and 2 toilets.
The property is quiet and you can walk it or ride some bikes which are available. Also have kayaks for use on the creek

Beautiful peaceful setting perched high above the river, lots of kayaking, swimming, and nights spent by the fire with my partner and dog. Lovely spot with a gorgeous view! Elizabeth was wonderful and great with communication and showing us around on arrival.
Only down side was the weather was quite bad for our stay and the pod isn’t really set up for wet weather eg the outdoor kitchen has no covering so you’re cooking and cleaning in the rain. Elizabeth did give us two umbrellas (though one had an ants nest in the handle!) but the rain did take away from the experience for us overall as we also didn’t use the bath.
Everything else was spectacular - views, cleanliness, location, bed, amenities, communication. Would stay again in dry weather!

Chris went out of his way to make everything amazing for us! The tent was super cozy and comfy and all the facilities especially the hot showers and the toys for the kids made the stay really enjoyable:) we will most certainly be back! The camp kitchen literally had everything we needed and the playground for the kids was a hit.
