Hidden View is a peaceful, private campsite with stunning views over Lake Eildon and the surrounding hills. The only accommodation option is a charming vintage caravan, set on a flat clearing within a 15-acre property,, that is ideal for couples (and up to two children) looking to escape and unwind. This is not a party site. No tents. No RVs. Dogs are welcome and the area is full secured with a fence. Other site features include: - A Funky Monkey Australian-made playground - Large open fire pit with cooking plates - Undercover outdoor kitchen with BBQ (supply own gas, and connection house) - Outdoor dining areas - Limited rainwater (non-potable) supply - Rustic outdoor bathtub (supply own plug) …and more About the Caravan: Recently refreshed, this cosy and stylish space is ideal for a couple or a small family. It includes: - 1 x Queen-size bed - 1 x King single bed - 1 x Desk/workspace You must bring your own linen and pillows. All beds have fitted mattress protectors, which must not be slept on directly. No dogs are to sleep on the beds. There is a broom inside the caravan, so please sweep out if your dog is staying inside on BYO bed. NOTE: We only ever host one group at a time, so you’ll have the place to yourselves. You are welcome to hike the site, and feed the birds (we often supply bird seed). Otherwise just enjoy the peace and the views. ***Important to note*** - There is no power, no toilet, and no plumbed water - A small supply of rainwater is available (not connected to the caravan) - A camp toilet IS required, and all rubbish must be taken with you. It is not acceptable to use the surrounding bushland as your toilet. - We supply rainwater for extinguishing the fire. Essentials to know: - 25 mins to Alexandra and Eildon; 40 mins to Mansfield. - Partially unsealed road access ( 10minutes of travel on a dirt road suitable for 2WD). - No power on site - BYO camp toilet and rubbish removal required - Firewood may be collected from fallen timber on the property - As we are on the side of a cliff the earth is hard and rocky, so you cannot pitch a tent. Amazing stay with breathtaking views. I experienced sunrises, sunsets, fog and rain — all equally beautiful. Loved seeing kangaroos and hearing kookaburras. The fenced property was perfect for my dog. Peaceful and private highly recommend!

Was great, exactly what we expected for a nice quiet weekend away. Great view over the lake. One thing we loved was the shade when needed from all the trees. And the Van was nice and cosy.

A perfect private place, set high, with beautiful long distance views but not far from anywhere. We loved the fireplace, the bar stools looking out to Lake Eildon and the company of Kookaburras, Currawongs and King parrots. Would be great for family and friends to enjoy together.

Camping with an amazing view!

Breathtaking view. The camping spot is tidy and i could see us coming back in the future. My sister who’s 7 years old enjoyed the playground and had a lot of fun on her first camping trip. Would prefer to have taken a 4WD car to go to this spot since it’s a bit rough, gravel road. Anyways we got to the place and got out smoothly with no issues. Any lowered car would have trouble going up to the spot. Other than that it was great, firewood was provided as well even though we brought our own. Bbq is clean and other utensils are great for use as well. King parrots roam around and you can feed them with seeds provided on site, they are very cute and awesome to watch.

Hidden view is all is described to be and more ! It’s a tranquil place that’s so good for the kids. With amazing wildlife, great flat area around the fire, jungle gym and fantastic bar bench to have a beer at we loved our stay. Pippa’s a great host who helped out quickly when we contacted here with questions about the area and nearby towns. Perfect camping area. Would stay again !
