Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples and larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. Campers must arrive before 5pm to check in. Once checked in you are welcome to come and go as you please. Absolutely a beautiful place to stay , the view was amazing and the facilities we fantastic for a farm stay. This is a must stay and im sure will be back again for a longer stay. The host was amazing as well so happy and friendly

We loved camping at Mountview Farmstay! The barn was a great place to wind down at night, the toilets and shower facilities were very clean and Katrina was a wonderful host! We got some eggs and honey from Katrina, so fresh! Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

This was our first camping experience in Australia as recent ditch jumpers from NZ, and we loved it. Katrina and Ian were incredibly accommodating, quick to communicate, and clearly take pride in everything they provide at Mountainview Farmstay. The property, facilities, and adorable animals are all top-notch. We’ve already recommended it to our friends!

What an amazing 3 night stay at Farmview. Our host Katrina was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us! We camped in a tent, walked around the farm and even spoke to the cattle! Sunrise and sunsets were amazing, camp fires were great and a game of pool in the barn was awesome. The entire facility was amazing, toilets and shower were super clean and the communal barn is a great place. Highly recommend. Thanks again Katrina for everything and we will see you again. Mountainview farmstay was there perfect retreat for a couple of nights for us to get away from city life. Katrina’s property is beautiful and she keeps the facilities immaculate. Plenty to do while staying here too. A pool table, tv, camp kitchen plus chooks and cattle to watch. Sunsets are special. So relaxing and Katrina is a wonderful host. The eggs and honey available for purchase were delicious and firewood to purchase too for those cold winter nights or for cooking over the fire. We’ll definitely be back!

Such an awesome spot to get away for a weekend. Views were unreal and the sunset was even better. Katrina was so welcoming and all the facilities were very clean and well kept. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this place. Arrived to be welcomed by a very cheerful Katrina, to be shown around the place. The barn with the pool table was an absolute great addition to the stay. Also lovely hot shower. Toilets very clean. Camp area was level and freshly mowed. Will definitely be back. 10/10..

Beautifully setup - so many lovely touches. Great having a shower and toilet and the camp kitchen, Bbq, barn, communal and individual fire pits 🔥 and the pool table. Quiet area but only 15 mins into Toowoomba. Pubs, supermarket and petrol on 5 - 10 mins away. Loved it 🙌

Our stay at Mount view Farmstay was very nice dispite the wet first day, however found the barn an ideal place to hangout and stay dry. The camping facilities are very good with the barn, toilets, fire places and beautiful evening views of the sunset. Our host Katrina was very welcoming on arrival and ensured we had everything we needed. Great place for a quiet weekend, and will certainly be back.

Great camping only a short distance from Toowoomba. Katrina has done an amazing job, the camp sites looks amazing. It has a great rustic feel. All amenities and the main shed even has a pool table. Definitely recommend staying here.

Really beautiful property with great shared amenities like showers, bathrooms and fire pits. Campsites were relatively close but still felt very private and secluded which we really liked. Amazing sunset and sunrise to be seen from the property, great views around and lots of animals and other wildlife. Honey, eggs, firewood and kindling available to purchase. Highly recommended

We found this farmstead exceptional and a wonderful place to relax and view the surrounding. The facilities were great for both solo and group camping. We welcome was spot on and then left us to enjoy our time. It is a location we will consider returning to with family and friends.

I would highly recommend Mountainview Farmstay. It is a beautiful property with an amazing sunset view. A gorgeous barn and communal fire pit set up as well as individual ones on each site. Bathrooms are very nice and tidy. Katrina was an excellent host, giving us a warm friendly welcome and checking in with ease. Also made sure we were sorted with firewood, fresh honey and eggs. Very happy with my stay and would 100% go back. Thanks Katrina! :)

This is our second visit and we love this spot so much and we would love to revisit again. The common facilities especially the bathroom and toilets are really clean and the host is very welcoming. This is a very highly recommended camping spot.

A beautiful spot with all the facilities. Oozing charm. Stayed 2 nights, would loved to have stayed longer. Our host Katrina took the time to meet us, show us around, and responded instantly to any questions we had. Even the chicken here are supermodels, in the middle of a photo shoot when we arrived 😊 Thoroughly recommend for a quiet, relaxing, luxury camping experience.
