Mountview is a very special place having been in the family for over 120 years. The working farm is 650 acres of grain cropping and also runs a productive Charolais beef cattle stud. A central stopover point an easy 15 minutes from Toowoomba city and only a few kilometers off the New England Highway. Great for couples and larger family groups. For those that may not be experienced campers onsite accommodation is also available in the fully renovated homestead for up to 8 guests. Explore the local area with so many attractions and places to discover including the Darling Downs Zoo, The Historical Bull and Barley Inn, Lavender fields, quaint little country towns, sunflower fields, hiking tracks and so much more. Enjoy wide open spaces with magnificent views. Watch stunning sunsets, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, watch the night sky for a dazzling display of stars, hike or say hello to the many Charolais cattle on the property. You will also have access to the facilities at the Ironbark Barn which include a pool table, television, kitchen and bar area, and hot shower and toilets. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, BBQ, dish-washing station and rubbish/recycling facilities. IMPORTANT; DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD ONTO THE PROPERTY IF YOU ARE IN A FIRE ANT ZONE. Mountview has bags of good quality iron-bark timber for sale. Please note to hook up to power you will need a lead of at least 30 meters. 15 amp power is supplied. Power is allocated on a first in best dressed preference. If you desperately require power please advise at the time of your booking and all efforts will be made to hook you up to power. Campers must arrive before 5pm to check in. Once checked in you are welcome to come and go as you please. No pets please.

I left feeling so refreshed, relaxed. Couldn't have ask for a better stay. The weather wasn't the best when I arrived but I was able to use the barn to bunker down, with fridge, freezer, kettle and pool table.. bonus was the tv! Katrina is such a friendly host, met me on arrival and shower me around, even delivered firewood and kindling. The showers were hot!!! An absolute delight in the cool winter nights. My favourite were the views, hearing the cows munching on the grass and the pristine night skies. 100% I will be back!

We loved this property. It was immaculate. Camping spots are open and grounds are well maintained. Toilet and shower block were clean and tidy. Barn is a great space with a pool table. The wood purchased on site is good quality and very good value for money. The cottage is like stepping back in time. This is our favourite hipcamp yet. Thank you Katrina for showing us around the cottage we will be back I some capacity - to camp again or plan a wedding x

This camp ground was absolutely beautiful!! So peaceful, extremely clean amenities, and located on a very well maintained property with lovely clean and flat sites. The barn had a fridge, freezer, sink and kettle available for our convenience as well as a TV and pool table for entertainment. Bonus-the sunsets are stunning from the back of the camping ground, and lovely for a nice photo on the swing! The host, Katrina was so friendly and was willing to help with anything we needed, and gave us a tour of their property upon arrival. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Our family had a terrific and comfortable stay at a camping site at Mountview Farmstay. The property is beautifully maintained, with terrific (and very clean) facilities. The sites were spacious and had sufficient distance between other sites to provide plenty of room. We wouldn't hesitate to book for a return visit if the opportunity was available. The property is close proximity to a range of local attractions, such as Cobb & Co Muesum Toowooba, Darling Downs Zoo, Cambooya and surrounds, but amongst those day trips we were equally very happy to spend a few days spending time together as a family on site - enjoying a game of pool in the barn or tackling a book each next to our van whilst watching the general happenings of a working farm. The views are beautiful and the sunsets next level. My girls enjoyed the swing and open space immensely. The well maintained and well thought out facilities are a credit to Katrina. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely property with us.

This is a great place to stay. Plenty of room for groups of campers or caravans. The facilities are great with toilets and a hot shower available and also a lovely barn with tables and kitchen where guests can eat their meal with shelter from the outside weather. The location is great. Just a short drive from Toowoomba and other small towns and local attractions. Or you can just stay at the farm and relax in the picturesque surroundings. The host is lovely and will ensure you have everything you need for your stay. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a great stay. Katrina, the host, was very helpful. We had a cloudless night and could do some Milky Way photography. I couldn’t charge my car as the charger was dropping off needing more retrying! Nicely maintained toilet and shower. Ample of space for having meals under roof at the Barn. They also have a Pool table! And Fire pits! Eventually I got it charged to a decent level to continue trip. Other than that it was an excellent camping. Highly recommend

We had a lovely family camping trip on Katrina's land. The kids loved watching the cows and seeing the farmers at work and we had beautiful clear views of the stars at night. There was also plenty of space for the kids to run around. The bathroom and shared barn facilities were exceptional, best quality and cleanliness of any hipcamp we've been to so far.

We had a camper set up to enjoy the sunset, with its own firepit.. The facilities are 1st class including toilets and a hot shower. A very welcoming and helpful host added to the stay. This hipcamp is perfect for families and couples look for a genuine country farm experience.
