Buff, Bush & Bloody Legends
We loved our stay at Buffs Campground. If you’re after a laid-back, no-fuss spot to unwind, this place is perfect. Set on a large open paddock surrounded by bush and mango trees, it’s peaceful and quiet — just how we like it. There’s not a lot of shade, but since it’s unallocated camping, you can pick your own spot and be a bit strategic about it. If you’re after power and proximity to the amenities block, your options are a little more limited, but still very workable.
The amenities are basic but clean (don’t forget your own toilet paper), and everything you need for a comfortable stay is there.
What really makes Buffs special, though, are the owners. Bill is hands-down one of the nicest, most generous people we’ve ever met — a true larrikin with a heart of gold. Annette is equally lovely and super helpful. They made us feel welcome, like family, and really elevate the whole experience.
We’d absolutely stay again.
