At present we will only be offering 15 self contained sites, so plenty of space not to be on top of each other. We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the Van sites. We have also started a little coffee shop at our main camp so you can find us there most days. We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.

Knuckey Lagoon Bush Camp provides secure bush camping sites close to Darwin, Palmerston, Nightcliff, and the airport. Each site is positioned well away from the others, giving you your own private patch to enjoy. Your campsite overlooks a man-made lagoon filled with bird life, particularly during the dry season. Other wildlife includes freshwater crocodiles and turtles. Echidnas have also been spotted, although your chances of seeing one are very low, as they are extremely elusive. Please note that we are very close to the airport, so you can enjoy some plane spotting from your tent. During military exercises, however, jet noise can be extremely loud. Because we have only just opened Google/ Apple maps havent pinpointed the address yes. There is a number on the gate and a photo of the gate in the gallery. The nearest land is a new shiny silver water tank nearly opposite our gate. The mosquito situation is currently quite manageable, but it can vary from mildly annoying to very bad. You must have mosquito-proof camping gear. You are camping in the bush, so it is important to note that we offer no facilities other than a campsite and a rubbish bin located at the front gate. There are no toilets, showers, power, or water available. You must bring a chemical or composting toilet. If you do not have one, we will unfortunately have to turn you away. We are brand new and currently have only two active site. We are working on a couple of additional sites that we hope to open soon.

We are close to boat ramps where you can access excellent fresh and salt-water fishing and crabbing. We are close to both Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park where you can find stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife to enjoy. The Sandpalms Roadhouse is a two minute drive away. They offer fuel, a cafe style menu, with special nights for a roast or a woodfired pizza, They are a licensed, family friendly establishment. There is often wildlife visiting our property so keep an eye out whilst enjoying your time at camp. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around your campfire. We also have a toilet and shower available for campers. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash upon arrival and under your control at all times. Due to not having an area waste removal program in Bynoe it is appreciated that you take all waste with you.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Perfect place to unwind and relax with family abd friends! The taps with running water and cool shower made it doable with young kids at the back end of the dry. The fully fence space is perfect for safety for young kids and our dog that came for this getaway :) it truly is a beautiful place...lots of shade..fire pits...power...highly recommend!!

Great spot to spend a few nights. We had an unpowered site (no water hookup) down the back of the camp, and it was really peaceful and quiet. Toilets and showers are quirky, clean and good. Washing machine was cheap. Hosts are lovely. We stayed an extra night. Would absolutely stay here again. (Bought a loaf of bread and a vanilla slice, made on site. Highly recommend them both, if you’re lucky enough to snag them!)

Middle camp at Berry Springs was the best camping experience we have had sin e being on the road for over 2 months. The grassed private area, water and power, toilet and hot shower facilities, free washing machine, outdoor cold shower at our site and then being so close to the Berry Springs Reserve .....what a winning combination. Telling our friends about it! Oh and a very reasonable price to boot. 5 stars from us!

Good shady green site, clean amenities. quick easy walk to the beach for a perfect sunset. Pub is a short drive to enjoy an ale. All round good site.

What a gem, big sites, we stayed on site 4 & it was a drive through. Plenty of shade, clean shower & toilet even a beautiful private shower outside. Free washing machine. Close to the beach for fishing or sunset viewing. I’d highly recommend this place.

We stayed on site 1 and loved it! Very peaceful. Enjoyed the area. Having the amenities and free washing machine was great. Plus the extra outdoor shower with hot/cold water.

1 night at Middle Camp & Stay- BERRY SPRINGS

What a cracking camp, we loved it. We stayed on site 4 & it was lovely & private. A nice touch having the outdoor shower which had good water pressure too. The amenities are great, very clean & well done. They even have a free washing machine but we didn’t use it. Our dog loved the nice green grass. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but will definitely keep this one in mnd for next time & it’s only 5 mins to Berry Springs. Remember to take note of their reminder about the sprinkler coming on in the arvo 😜 You have a lovely quiet small set up here & it’s fabulous. Thanks for having us.

Lovely large green grassed area, power and water, clean little amenities block toilet, shower, washing machine, quiet area, bit far from Darwin is my only negative, so close to Berry Springs though which was awesome 👌

7 nights at Kick Back & Relax Campsite

Fantastic view, very peaceful especially loved having the place to ourselves. Beautiful sunsets. Enjoyed sitting at the picnic table having a drink and watching the sun go down.

I loved it. I would have stayed longer if the site was available. Nice modern amenities. Free washing machine. Very peaceful. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the NT.

Darwin

Darwin is the gateway to the Litchfield and Mary River national parks, where you can pitch a tent along the riverside, spot wildlife on a bushwalk, then cool off in a natural swimming hole. For the best of both worlds, stop at one of the city’s beachfront campsites and explore the parks on a day trip.

Kakadu

Cruise among crocs, uncover Aboriginal rock art sites, and swim in natural waterholes at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Bush campgrounds provide an opportunity to get back to nature, while the park has over 30 marked rainforest hiking trails.

Alice Springs

Venture to Alice Springs, Australia’s Red Centre, to hike around King’s Canyon, hear Dreamtime stories of Aboriginal heritage, and lose yourself in the endless desert landscapes. Adventurers can roll out a swag beneath the desert stars and wake early to watch the sunrise over Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Katherine

South of Darwin, the Katherine River is flanked by rocky gorges and savannah grasslands where you can hike, camp, or kayak away from crowds. In Nitmiluk National Park, you can also soak in natural thermal springs, visit ancient caves, or swim at Edith Falls.

Arnhem Land

Campers venturing to the northernmost corner of Arnhem Land are rewarded with deserted beaches, rocky promontories, and hidden waterfalls. You need a permit to visit the traditional lands of the Yolngu people and a four-wheel drive is best for getting around, but it’s worth the effort to discover one of Australia’s most undeveloped pockets of wilderness.
