Your own private, 1 acre of fully fenced vacant land to set up camp, the second street back from the beach. No one lives on this property, you'll have the site to yourself. We have a place you can park your tent(take some tarps in dry season), camper or caravan in the lovely town of Wagait Beach. Power and water is available onsite, and a bathroom with tiolet and cold shower is also available. 5 minute walk to the beach. Also close by is the Cox Country club where you can sit down and have a quiet alcohol beverage or meal(Open Thurs - Sun). Wagait Beach store is also nearby to buy groceries and takeaway food. Please be advised, the store doesnt sell alcohol at present :( If you are inclined to cook your own food, three fire pits are available at property. You can fish at the jetty, off the beach, or in the two creeks close by..or go bush walking and explore. This camp is amazing! It was our second time visiting Hokey’s as we just love it. A very relaxing and chilled spot, it’s got all the creatures comforts you need for an enjoyable stay. We’ll definitely be back again 😊

Awesome location and the facility’s still make you feel like you’re in a bush setting. Perfect for a weekend end away, having pier and water is an added bonus, kids loved this site.

Hokey's Camp Site Wagait Beach
This place is top notch for camping with families! Especially if you have small children, camping as two mums with five kids combined we felt really comfortable here. The kids loved riding their bikes around the block and exploring, because it was fully fenced we didn’t need to worry about the little ones running off and getting into mischief. It’s close enough to The beach for little let’s to walk or ride to the beach. Even tho you are camping with neighbours close by, we still felt like we were camping in the bush because of the amount of trees and shrub that gave us around the camp. This camp has been thought out really well, with plenty of space for more than one tent. Having so much fire wood provided was such a bonus and a nice clean bathroom. I would happily recommend this camp and will be planning another trip here again.

This is a good sized spot which is both private and secure. It has power, water, a toilet and a shower and you can have a fire, what else do you need. Its also nice and close to the beach

An amazing place to settle in for total peace and relaxation. Plenty of firewood and great facilities. The property is well kept and very tidy. Would highly recommend and would be great if you're traveling with friends. The property is huge!

Great place! Good location for the beach & jetty, bathroom was clean, site has everything you need ie outdoor sink, fire pits, bins etc. Communication from the owner was brilliant, check in/out was easy, definitely recommend☺️

Huge space, eclectic charm, quiet and peaceful. Owner very responsive and the grounds are in great condition. Had to disappoint a few friends as there was a limit of 25 people. Well, I didn't really have anyone with me but was told to limit it to 25 people. There was certainly room for more than that.

This was our first ever Hipcamp booking, everything was as described, host was very responsive to questions, close to the beautiful beach, good boat ramp nearby, it was great having the privacy of having the camp to ourselves. Facilities at the camp were well maintained. Will definitely be booking again.

Perfect place to relax after a fishing trip. Steve has done a great job making his land hospitable, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone staying at Wagait Beach. Steve's communication was also top notch, and I hope to camp at his place again in future.

Awesome little spot for a weekend getaway. Large area with plenty of room for a group. We had 7 adults and 3 children and still had plenty of space. Great little container fire pit area and firewood. Shower wasn’t the best but understandable due to having to cart water in. We took a rubber tub and boiled water and had tub rinse off and kids could have a tub baths which made up for no hot water. We all enjoyed our stay, will come back again.

Loved having the firewood ready for us to use. Great site with power, running water, shower and toilets. Well set up and close distance to the beach. Mostly quiet and private. Looks like the fencing is a work in progress which will be good as it'll make the site feel more private. Huge space for kids to run around and explore.

Ticked all our boxes, seems like it's still under construction, so hopefully in the future it will eventually have a hot tub? but would have been nice to have a shower with some pressure and the option for hot water. Other than that great facilities great location. Great communication from the owner Stephen. Definitely looking forward to another stay for a bit longer than two nights.

We've stayed at Hokey’s Camp Site a few times now and it’s always a fantastic experience. It’s quiet, private, and just a short walk to Wagait Beach — perfect for relaxing and unwinding. On our recent visit, we really appreciated the new improvements like shaded areas and Colorbond fencing — they add comfort and a sense of security while keeping the laid-back feel. The site has everything you need: power, water, toilet, shower, and fire pits. It’s always clean, spacious, and well maintained. Stephen is a fantastic host — friendly, responsive, and clearly puts care into the place. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone needing a peaceful break. Looking forward to our next stay - as always!

Loved few days camping at property. Always handy to have onsite toilet, power and water. Close to beach and other 4x4 tracks to check out beaches for sightseeing/ fishing etc. Great little fireplace to cook our bbqs on each day. We set up our hammocks and relaxed while listening to the bird life and enjoying the breeze. Highly recommend as property great and as described. Stephen was a great host and made sure we had all the information available to gain access and what to do on leaving property. A1!!!

Another great stay, thank you. Large space with both shade and sun for those chasing the rays for their solar. Fantastic clean amenities and even a couple of undercover areas to eat or relax. A number of fire pits to choose from. Fully fenced and secure. Thanks for another great stay. We will be back.

Hokey's Camp Site Wagait Beach
What a fantastic spot for a getaway, short walk to the beach and local country club. Stephen’s property was incredibly spacious and well-equipped. We had two vans, four adults, and three dogs, yet there was still plenty of room. The fully fenced yard was perfect for letting the dogs run free. Highly recommend!
