Darwin is the gateway to the amazing Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. There are many popular waterfront areas with several beaches including Lee Point and Casuarina. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, The War Museum and Aviation Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and biking trails. We are located on a 5-acre block in the Northern Suburbs. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. We have a variety of native birds on the property and are close by to local bird watch areas. You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites. Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

At present we will only be offering 15 self contained sites, so plenty of space not to be on top of each other. We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the Van sites. We have also started a little coffee shop at our main camp so you can find us there most days. We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.

We are located just over 1.5 hours from Darwin, and about halfway between Katherine and Darwin via an old section of the original Stuart Highway. With only one site available you will have plenty of space and privacy. There is however enough space for 3 - 4 vehicles with vans so if you are travelling with your mates as a group you may book for extra vehicles. Please go to "Extras" in the booking platform to add additional vehicles and select "Add to Trip". We are just 15 minutes to Robin Falls, 20 minutes to Litchfield National Park's southern entry*, 30 minutes to Adelaide River, 45 minutes to Daly River, and about 1 hour to Butterfly Gorge. You will have plenty to see and do throughout your stay with us. Pets on a leash are welcome. Campers must have their own toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Access is subject to seasonal conditions so please check the NT Road Report for the current status.

Peter is very friendly and welcoming to his guests. The campsites are lovely and secluded, surrounded by beautiful native gardens and trees. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and there’s also a washing machine available for guests to use. Middle camp at Berry Springs was the best camping experience we have had sin e being on the road for over 2 months. The grassed private area, water and power, toilet and hot shower facilities, free washing machine, outdoor cold shower at our site and then being so close to the Berry Springs Reserve .....what a winning combination. Telling our friends about it! Oh and a very reasonable price to boot. 5 stars from us!

What a cracking camp, we loved it. We stayed on site 4 & it was lovely & private. A nice touch having the outdoor shower which had good water pressure too. The amenities are great, very clean & well done. They even have a free washing machine but we didn’t use it. Our dog loved the nice green grass. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but will definitely keep this one in mnd for next time & it’s only 5 mins to Berry Springs. Remember to take note of their reminder about the sprinkler coming on in the arvo 😜 You have a lovely quiet small set up here & it’s fabulous. Thanks for having us.

Where to start with the urban retreat!!!!! It is absolute paradise, we are so so fortunate our friends recommended this oasis for our time in Darwin. Pete is the most incredible host, have never experienced this kind of generosity and hospitality before. He is so passionate about the space, and has so much knowledge and care for the land. The place itself is divine, and the amenities are honestly better than many hotels and airbnbs we have been in. You feel so safe, yet so close to nature and tranquility. Pete has provided us with so many recommendations from travel plans to restaurants to mechanics - he is an absolute wonder. Would recommend this place im a heartbeat - you wont regret staying here it is paradise!

I can’t say enough good things about staying at Peter’s Paradise in the city! He converted an old coffee plantation to a tropical utopia and is sharing it with us! I loved it. I would have stayed longer if the site was available. Nice modern amenities. Free washing machine. Very peaceful. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the NT.

Definitely the best Hipcamp we’ve stayed at! It’s a lovely, peaceful place full of wildlife. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless, and Peter is a fantastic host. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Litchfield Bush Sites

Cental location to the highlights of Litchfield. Easy access and lots of space to setup. There is a section where fires are permitted with provided firedrums. There is an outdoor shower, toilets near the cafe, basketball hoop. All very clean. The kids had space to ride their bikes around. Highly recommended.

Lovely green grass site, very private and quiet. The outdoor shower on each site was a winner especially in the afternoon heat. Amenities were clean. Great location to Berry Springs and the Wildlife park. The location was away from the main road and very private. We loved our 2 night stay.
