Hillier Hideaway is a beautiful 5-acre property located 2 minutes from Coolalinga Central. With 4 well shaded, spacious sites this is the perfect place to pull up and explore Darwin and its surrounds. Sites are not visible from the road and there are no dirt bike tracks or open land adjoining the property, making this a very secluded and safe site. We can accommodate vans up to 24 feet and have 1 dedicated site for either a camper trailer or tent. All sites have no power or water, so you will need to be fully self-sufficient. There is however a single shower and toilet for use if needed. There is a dump point at the Caravan Park across from Coolalinga Central that can be used for a small fee. All sites are well maintained with plenty of shade, please note during the dry season the grassed area will die off. There will be areas allocated for small campfires and guests must follow fire bans as the restrictions come up. There are wild peacocks that come in at dawn and dusk to get their daily feed, guests are welcome to come watch, Burdekin ducks and possums at night. Pets are allowed however dogs must remain on a lead as there is allot of wildlife that call the property home.

Conveniently located, we're a 30 minute drive from Darwin CBD , 15 minutes from two major shopping centres, 1 hour from Litchfield National Park , 1.5 hours from Kakadu National Park, 20 minutes from the public dump point, and only 5 minutes from the local IGA and post office, the family friendly Howard Springs Nature Reserve, and excellent pine forest mountain bike trails. We have only two sites, to give you excellent privacy and space. The sites are level and grassed, with dedicated water and power access. You are welcome to share our refreshing plunge pool. Wander the yard to enjoy the gardens or spot small lizards and frogs. We have fantastic recycling and compost facilities, in a small effort to reduce our collective impact on the environment. Kids will love having plenty of space to run, ride and explore. There is a kids cubby and mud kitchen, sandpit, swings and a climbing frame (all to be used at your own risk). You will need to be fully self-contained with your own camping toilet/shower. We are in a rural residential area, located at the end of a very quiet court, and while it's rare, you may hear normal neighbourhood noises from time to time. Pets may be accepted (please enquire before booking), and pet minding may be available so that you can get away to enjoy the Territory's beautiful national parks and swimming holes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Fiona and Rodney are genuinely lovely people who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They’re incredibly accommodating and full of helpful local knowledge. Their beautiful pets quickly became part of the experience, and it didn’t take long for us to become best mates with them! Fiona also went out of her way to make the stay special for the kids, taking them to feed the horses and helping them walk them—something they absolutely loved. It’s a beautiful, welcoming Hipcamp run by wonderful people, and we’d happily stay here again. Thanks so much, Fiona and Rodney, for making our stay such a memorable one!

Middle camp at Berry Springs was the best camping experience we have had sin e being on the road for over 2 months. The grassed private area, water and power, toilet and hot shower facilities, free washing machine, outdoor cold shower at our site and then being so close to the Berry Springs Reserve .....what a winning combination. What a cracking camp, we loved it. We stayed on site 4 & it was lovely & private. A nice touch having the outdoor shower which had good water pressure too. The amenities are great, very clean & well done. They even have a free washing machine but we didn’t use it. Our dog loved the nice green grass. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but will definitely keep this one in mnd for next time & it’s only 5 mins to Berry Springs. Remember to take note of their reminder about the sprinkler coming on in the arvo 😜 You have a lovely quiet small set up here & it’s fabulous. Thanks for having us.

Great spot to stop when exploring Darwin and the region. The spot was large and flat and felt secluded from the other campsite and main house. Access to power and water was straight forward and our kids lived the plunge pool and play area.

2 nights at Middle Camp & Stay- BERRY SPRINGS

Lovely green grass site, very private and quiet. The outdoor shower on each site was a winner especially in the afternoon heat. Amenities were clean. Great location to Berry Springs and the Wildlife park. The location was away from the main road and very private. We loved our 2 night stay.

This hip csmp is very close to the Noonamah pub and a short drive to Berry Springs. The amenities are lovely. 2 good showers , sinks n toilets. All very clean. Hosts are lovely to deal with. Plenty of space for a hiking tent! The ground will be hard during dry season but that’s the same everywhere.

1 night at Middle Camp & Stay- BERRY SPRINGS

Beautiful camp spot surrounded by the bush, close to berry springs and the tavern. The facilities were really clean and the camp sites well maintained. The sprinkler had been on before I arrived so the ground was wet, but I had a tarp for the swag, and it came on again at about 5pm briefly wetting my camp (even after moving it out of the way). I especially loved the outdoor shower and having a fire pit available. Site 4 isnt private and you can clearly see site 3, so no real privacy if you wanna get back to nature under the shower, but it was still great. Unfortunately, I had noisy neighbours staying in site 3 who decided to crank their music from about 10pm which was incredibly disappointing. If you want privacy, site 1 looks to be the most secluded from the other sites. Even though there were a few little issues I'd definitely stay again and would recommend this hipcamp!

We really enjoyed our stay at Parson Springs Bush Stay. It was very relaxing, each site has maintained cleared area surrounded with trees for more privacy, fire pits & gate to property has lock with code. There is fire wood available also. Close to Berry Springs hot springs, Tavern, fuel & shops. Highly recommend, lovely hosts & will definitely stay again if in area.
