Casa Carambola is five acres in Virginia, about 25km out of Darwin’s CBD owned by a young family. Just 3km from Coolalinga shopping complex, the block is well suited to anyone wanting to explore Darwin and surrounds. Campers will have access to an ablution block containing a toilet, shower and vanity completely separate to the main house. It can power your van and connect water too. There are two very friendly dogs, 2 cows, and we are able to host horses and other livestock in a fenced paddock for an additional fee.Casa Carambola is a five acre property in Virginia, NT. We are about 25km from Darwin’s CBD, 10km from Humpty Doo and just a few minutes drive from the Coolalinga shops. The property is owned by a friendly young family with a baby and toddler. You will be the only guests on the property at a time. There is plenty of space for vehicles of all shapes and sizes, and lots of open space to back in or drive in and take your car as you need. There is also a shared pool to cool off in, a giant trampoline and plenty of space to set up as you please. Kids are welcome to run free! Molly and Logan’s property is a great place to stay on your way back or leaving Darwin. It’s quite private and if you position your camper or caravan at the right angle you get a lovely rural tree lined view. The bathroom is excellent and the shopping center is just down the road. I highly recommend

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Carambola. Molly is a fantastic host and the space available for camping is lovely, flat, secure and with options for shade or sun. Our van is 9 metres and was an easy park and fit. ”The ensuite was great and also supplied power and water. It’s close to some great shopping and eating and is well placed for all sorts of day trips. Can’t recommend it more highly and will definitely be staying here again when in Darwin.

Our stay at Casa Carambola was truly exceptional. Molly and her family were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to assist us. When we had car trouble and needed to visit a mechanic, they took the time to research the best options and provided us with helpful recommendations. They respected our privacy throughout our stay but were also wonderfully accommodating. On an especially hot day, they kindly invited us into their home to enjoy the air conditioning, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The location is convenient, with Woolworths, Coles, and plenty of food options nearby. The toilet and shower were in great condition, and the space provided everything we needed, including a place to charge our phones. Casa Carambola is a fantastic place to stay, with warm hosts who make you feel cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend it!

We loved our quick stop over here. It was a lovely semi rural area but very close to a shop and fuel stop but felt like a million miles away from hustle and bustle. We felt safe with the fenced yard and locked gates, and had plenty of privacy and space for our large caravan and a tent. The added highlight was having an ensuite to ourselves, very helpful. The dogs were gorgeous and friendly as was Molly and her family. Molly was very detailed with information and excellent with communication. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Fantastic campsite close to Darwin. Molly and Jack made us feel very welcome right from the start. This spacious private site with generous size ensuite is way ahead of crowded caravan parks. Molly was quick with communication and very accommodating, especially when we had to postpone our arrival date due to a road closure which we greatly appreciated. ... we also enjoyed the company of their 2 very friendly dogs :)

We have had an incredible time with Molly, Jack & boys! It’s been the perfect middle base for us to explore around the Darwin & surrounds area with our kids. So accomodating & suuuuper friendly people - they’ve made us feel so welcome & comfortable. We loved being greeted by the doggos in the mornings & patting the baby cows. Cannot recommend it here enough for anyone considering staying & the amenities are just fab!

We recently spent 3 nights at Casa Carambola. Great stay!! So much space to set up, own shower and toilet for us was superb as we have been travelling oz for 9 months in a camper trailer. Water and power hook up as well. Molly was fantastic to deal with and process was very smooth. Our 2 boys loved the friendly dogs. Nice quiet base to explore Darwin and surrounds. Would stay again. Thanks

Molly is an exceptional host, ever accomodating and happy to share local knowledge. Perfect spot to explore all of Darwin and surrounds. Kids had a ball jumping on the trampoline and helping with the animals. Highly recommended!

AMAZING! This was our first Hipcamp while travelling around Australia. Molly & Jack have set the bar bloody high! So accomodating and very handy having the ablution block for use. Location is spot on, shopping centre a short 5 minute (if that) drive down the road. We can’t thank them enough for making us feel so welcome.

We can’t recommend this camp enough! Molly and Jack were amazing hosts that went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable! Nice and close to the shops and 30min drive to Darwin. Property is fenced and secure. Nice quiet place. Oh, and the private bathroom! Priceless! With water and power hookup, there is everything you could possibly need. Thank you guys!!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Darwin then look no further. The hosts Molly & Jack are the most amazing couple and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, also not to forget to mention their two amazing boys and the best behaved dogs. The location is just out of the city so you get away from all the noise and get a real feel for the spacious land around Darwin. This was our first trip and Definitely not our last up north, we will be coming back here again no doubt.
