Welcome to our little slice of the Territory—where the dogs run the show and we just pay the bills. Just 40 minutes from Darwin CBD and 15 minutes from Coolalinga, our peaceful 5-acre retreat is a tropical haven teeming with wildlife. You'll spot native birds flitting through the trees, a resident frill-necked lizard basking in the sun (although he is a bit shy), and be greeted by three friendly dogs who’ll likely claim you as their own. We also share our space with two gentle horses (always keen for a pat and a carrot or two), and a ginger cat who rules the indoors. We’re a young couple who’ve called the NT home since 2009, living a laid-back lifestyle and always happy to swap stories over a cold drink as the sun goes down. During your stay, you’ll have full access to power, water, our refreshing pool with spa jets, and laundry facilities. Mobile reception is excellent, and if you need WiFi, just ask—we’ve got you covered.Poolside is, as the name suggests..... right next to the pool. It's a lovely quiet shady spot with room for 1 or 2 vans (3 may be pushing it) and perfect if you're travelling by yourselves or in a small group.

Fiona and Rod were so friendly and accomodating. The site was quiet and spacious and had access to the plunge pool. The kids loved seeing the horses and playing with the friendly dogs. Would definitely recommend!

Fiona and Rodney’s place is a true home away from home. The peaceful surroundings instantly made us forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We especially appreciated the regular visits from Boof the doggo who came to make sure we were happy campers. Thanks again Fi and Rod

We had a wonderful stay at Rod and Fi’s Hipcamp. The property was quiet, safe, and beautifully shaded, making it a relaxing place to unwind. Rod and Fi were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was meeting the lovely animals, all of which were calm, well cared for, and full of character. The peaceful surroundings and genuine hospitality made our visit truly enjoyable. We highly recommend Rod and Fi’s Hipcamp to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly, and authentic country camping experience. We would happily stay again.

We spent a relaxing 2 weeks at Fi and Rods place. We felt very welcomed and absolutely loved their pets. 2 horses and 4 dogs were all so well natured. The doggos hung out with us a fair bit, it was hard not to get attached. Sad faces all round when we were leaving. Thanks Fi and Rod for sharing your lovely property with us.

Lovely quiet, safe place to stay only 40 mins to city. Fiona and Rodney are just lovely people and very accommodating. They gave us great tips on mechanics and other supplies we needed whilst here and even took us on a buggy ride . We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to other travellers.

We loved everything. The pool, our three new dogs, the super friendly horses and especially the great nights laughing and swapping stories with Fi and Rod. Definitely recommend a stay.

Fiona & Rodney are fantastic people and very accommodating. The kids loved the horses and the fantastic dogs and a dip in the pool in the Darwin heat was an absolute treat. Extremely safe as well. Cannot fault the location and hospitality.

We loved staying Poolside and Fiona & Rod’s! They were so friendly and accommodating, very responsive to any of my questions and the location was just perfect for our family to explore Darwin & surrounds, close to Adelaide River croc jumping tours, Berry Springs and an easy drive into the CBD. The hosts were great with the kids and let them help feed and groom the horses and even gave them both a ride! And the 3 pooches were nothing but gentle and welcoming. Lovely to have a nice bush camp with plenty of space to come home to after a big day of adventures, with the luxury of power and water and even a plunge pool to cool off in. I would 100% recommend Poolside at Fiona & Rod’s!

This spot is great! We loved staying at Fi and Rods! The kids LOVED the pool and the horses as well as the dogs. Fiona was so kind to take the kids (& me!) for a ride. We will be back!

Fi and Rod's place was perfect for us. Lovely people, lovely animals, a quiet, rural spot we could stay with my two boys while my husband flew home for work. Fi and Rod were helpful with places to visit and little tips of local knowledge. Very relaxed atmosphere.
