To keep our prices the lowest in the park, we offer a "back-to-basics" experience. Please read the following carefully before booking:
100% Self-Contained ONLY: You must have your own water, power, and toilet/shower setup.
No Dump Point: There are no waste disposal facilities on-site.
Limited Amenities: There are no 24-hour bathrooms. However, guests have access to the bathrooms at the adjacent Litchfield Cafe during their standard operating hours.
Pet Friendly: Your furry co-pilots are welcome! We just ask that they remain on a lead at all times for the safety of other guests and local wildlife.

Darwin is the gateway to the amazing Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. There are many popular waterfront areas with several beaches including Lee Point and Casuarina. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, The War Museum and Aviation Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and biking trails.
We are located on a 5-acre block in the Northern Suburbs. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. We have a variety of native birds on the property and are close by to local bird watch areas.
You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD.
We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera.
IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites.
Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

We are close to boat ramps where you can access excellent fresh and salt-water fishing and crabbing.
We are close to both Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park where you can find stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife to enjoy.
The Sandpalms Roadhouse is a two minute drive away. They offer fuel, a cafe style menu, with special nights for a roast or a woodfired pizza, They are a licensed, family friendly establishment.
There is often wildlife visiting our property so keep an eye out whilst enjoying your time at camp. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around your campfire.
We also have a toilet and shower available for campers. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash upon arrival and under your control at all times. Due to not having an area waste removal program in Bynoe it is appreciated that you take all waste with you.

We needed some final directions and Emma was readily available to help us.
Sites were limited to 4 which made for a very peaceful and private experience which in part was we were there during the week. Great that there were small fire pits which we utilised.
Loved the location where we could walk down the road onto the magnificent beach where you could go fishing if you wished.
The facilities were superb and very modern and clean with the outdoor shower versatile and quite unique.
Highly recommend.

Peaceful bush camp with a great setup. The amenities were well laid out and very clean. The host takes pride in presenting the sites, with green grass and well-maintained grounds creating a welcoming atmosphere. A relaxing place to stay and enjoy the bush setting

Amazing spot amongst the trees and the birds, great location close to where ever you want to go. Pete and Troy are lovely blokes. Will defiently be back, loved our stay highly reccomend, spots are private not jammed in next to each other like a caravan park. Thanks for having us 🙏

What a lovely setup they have there. Tucked away yet close to berry springs, private grassed area with power, water and an outdoor shower. fantastic. the small facilities nearby well layed out and including washing machine. Very impressed.

We have camped here previously and loved it, hence us coming back again! You can tell they take a lot of pride in their camp grounds, its well kept, full of nature and extremely peaceful. Urban Retreat was an Oasis in the suburbs, the garden was stunning we had complete privacy with our large caravan site. Peter was an outstanding host the amenities were immaculate 5 star accommodation for sure highly recommend to stay here over a caravan park.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back in a heartbeat.
The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You can really tell she cares about the experience people have staying here.
The property itself is beautiful. Green, lush grass, so many birds around, plus dragonflies and butterflies everywhere. It felt peaceful and relaxing, and surprisingly cool even during the day.
The amenities were clean and tidy, the pub is nearby, and it’s not far from the beach either, which made it a perfect location for a getaway.
Such a lovely spot and one of the most welcoming Hipcamp stays we’ve had.

Great spot with your own creek to swim in! We came in a big group and absolutely loved this place. Also dog friendly which is great!
The toilets and shower are good and clean.
