Darwin is the gateway to the amazing Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. There are many popular waterfront areas with several beaches including Lee Point and Casuarina. While sightseeing, make sure you visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, The War Museum and Aviation Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some good fishing and biking trails. We are located on a 5-acre block in the Northern Suburbs. The top 2 acres are laid out in a tropical garden setting, with the other 3 acres set out with native Darwin plants visited by lots of native animals and birds. We have a variety of native birds on the property and are close by to local bird watch areas. You'll feel like you're a whole world away yet you will only be 2 minutes from the supermarket, 5 minutes from a large shopping centre, and 15 minutes from Darwin's CBD. We are a small boutique site and only have 5 powered sites and 8 non powered sites on the 5 acres. Your site is private and you will be able to enjoy your stay without interference from others. The property has a secured gate that requires fob access and a security entrance camera. IMPORTANT: Each site can accommodate 2 adults MAX. If you have 3 or 4 adults, you will need to book two sites. Please note The Bounganvillea site is open all year round and has a concrete base. Other sites are dependant on weather and access.

Kids will love having plenty of space to run, ride and explore. There is a kids cubby and mud kitchen, sandpit, swings and a climbing frame (all to be used at your own risk). You will need to be fully self-contained with your own camping toilet/shower. We are in a rural residential area, located at the end of a very quiet court, and while it's rare, you may hear normal neighbourhood noises from time to time. Pets may be accepted (please enquire before booking), and pet minding may be available so that you can get away to enjoy the Territory's beautiful national parks and swimming holes.

This was a great stay..it was by chance we found it advertising for a space to fix our car.. Jennifer could not have done enough for us arranging our stay..we ran into some trouble needing a lift to get parts and Lochy was a great help driving us around to where we needed to go… things you need to know - it is peaceful and away from traffic noise.. there are chooks that say hello each day… the pool was loverly and refreshing and the bathroom was clean and good.. it is a bush setting and although I get eaten by midges and mossies.. I lite the coils early and never had an issue… please clean up after yourselves after you use the bathroom… it is not the hosts job to clean up after every use … thank you Jennifer and Lochy we loved staying at Strangys 🌻

We thought Jets Stable was a great spot, being undercover, having a concrete pad and power and water suited our needs. The pool was lovely, and the property was nice and quiet. We did however have an issue with sandflies while we were there. Obviously this can't be helped and is unfortunate.

It over looks the horse paddock sites so you may see other campers depending on how busy it is but there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The onsite shower/toilet is great and having access to the beautiful pool area was wonderful. Variety of shops with everything you need within 10min drive and it was 25min into the city centre which we did daily.
