Be immersed in the rugged beauty of our Northern bushland, from the luxury of your own fully self contained Van, camper tent or roof top. Open your eyes in the morning to a breathtaking escarpment of native bush. This makes the perfect camp to come home to after exploring Litchfield's waterfalls and attractions. At present we will only be offering 15 self contained sites, so plenty of space not to be on top of each other. We (the owners) live on-site, about a three minute walk from the Van sites. We have also started a little coffee shop at our main camp so you can find us there most days. We are located just 8km from Wangi Falls, one of Litchfield's largest and most iconic waterfalls. For most of the year it is open for swimming. There are also several other smaller water holes nearby. Most water attractions are accessible by car. If you do have a 4WD be sure to go off-road to visit the amazing, less accessible sites.

Listen to the bird calls and enjoy the peace. Campers are welcome to enjoy the BBQ Firepit and firewood, within local restrictions. Wagait Beach, NT · 1 site · Tent, RV
This quiet camp slopes down to the beach, passing palm trees and shady casuarinas. Feel free to grab a coconut and relax on the swing, hammock, or beach chairs while one of you throws out a line. Plenty of barra and snapper have been caught from the beach right out front. There is a large fire pit set up for cooking. Please use this as the only place you light a fire. The property has around a dozen different kinds of tropical fruit, and at any time of year, you’ll be able to find a variety of frangipanis and hibiscus to place on the ocean-view picnic table. The only humbug is the fruit bats, which can make quite a racket when the mangoes are ripe. The ferry terminal is just down the road and will take you across to Darwin in about 10 minutes. It runs most hours until midnight. The community has a general store and the Cox Club, where you can enjoy a meal or a beer under the banyan tree. There are often bands playing on weekends. The club is about a 2 km walk along the beach or road. This is a residential area with neighbours on both sides. It is a one acre block with my partner, little dog and myself staying in a house close to the road. However we aim to provide you with privacy. The beach side of the block is yours to play on. Please camp within the property line.

On 200 hectares, just 30 minutes drive from Alice Springs, Ooraminna is a place to feel grounded within the rugged beauty, vast landscapes, and tranquility of Central Australia. This is Arrernte Country, where for tens of thousands of years there have been continuous, culturally rich connections to its deserts, springs and mountain ranges. Over a century ago, Deep Well Station cattle began grazing the land, and in the 1980’s Ooraminna Homestead was imagined as a film set to bring legendary Aussie tales to life. Today, Ooraminna’s vision is to provide a place where the remarkable environment is protected and visitors feel a sense of belonging amongst the ancient bushlands. Trails lead to a spectacular lookout and a life-giving billabong. Secluded cabins sit shadowed by red rock outcrops, and campsites are circled by blue mallee gums. Cooling off in the swimming pool as the sun sets is a stunning way to end the day. Experiences at Ooraminna invite connections with people, place and nature. Escape into the wild, feel the rhythms of the red earth, and stay immersed in an untamed wilderness beneath starry desert skies.

Just 40 minutes from Darwin CBD and 15 minutes from Coolalinga, our peaceful 5-acre retreat is a tropical haven teeming with wildlife. We also share our space with two gentle horses (always keen for a pat and a carrot or two), and a ginger cat who rules the indoors. We’re a young couple who’ve called the NT home since 2009, living a laid-back lifestyle and always happy to swap stories over a cold drink as the sun goes down. During your stay, you’ll have full access to power, water, our refreshing pool with spa jets, and laundry facilities. Mobile reception is excellent, and if you need WiFi, just ask—we’ve got you covered.
