What a fantastic time spent with the guys! And what an amazing property! We went for multiple walks around the land and they showed me the billabongs and pointed out where the river meets their land. Fantastic hosts that have a perfect little piece of paradise. The view from the main house and B&B room is spectacular it really has to be seen to be believed ! and the best part is they are more than happy to share their plunge pool with guests - great way to cool off after a good walk around.
If you want to help out around the property, they’ll happily take the help, if not, wonder around and you’ll find some great wildlife like, finches, kangaroos and we even spotted a frilled neck lizard on one of the walks!
Can’t wait to get back!

We loved our time at Edith’s Farm!
Morgan was lovely at our meet & greet. With the ground being so wet, Morgan allowed us to camp near the Donga up the front on dryer ground & then gave us access to the shower, flushing toilet & washing machine! She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable & happy where we were.
We would definitely recommend a stay at Edith’s farm!

About
Embark on an adventure to Butterfly Gorge Nature Park, where the rugged spinifex country unfolds into a serene gorge, home to fluttering common crow butterflies. Traverse the rocky trails, gaze upon scenic lookouts, and engage in exhilarating four-wheel driving. While the park beckons with its natural splendor, overnight stays are for the nearby Douglas River Esplanade Conservation Area, as camping within the park's embrace is not permitted.
When to go
The best time to visit Butterfly Gorge Nature Park is during the Dry Season, when the park is open for day use. The park is closed during the Wet Season due to seasonal conditions, typically reopening on 31 May each year. Plan your visit to coincide with the cooler, drier months for an optimal experience.
Know before you go
- Ensure you have a parks pass before visiting Butterfly Gorge Nature Park, a requirement for all visitors to the NT.
- For your safety, heed all park signs, especially those warning of saltwater crocodiles in the pools.
- Access to the park is via a 4WD track; caravans are not permitted, and road conditions should be checked prior to your journey.
- Remember to pack out your trash, as the park operates on a 'leave no trace' principle to preserve its pristine condition.
- Drones are only allowed with a permit, so be sure to secure one before you arrive if you plan to capture aerial views.
