Billabong Blue Sapphire Fossicking Park and Camping area is located 24 kilometres from Inverell. The Camping area provides 10 sites for self-contained campers. Enjoy a day out fossicking for an Inverell Sapphire. Creek fossicking is available seven days a week. Fees apply for Creek Fossicking. Please note that Billabong Blue Fossicking Park can be closed due to unforeseen circumstances, please call ahead to ensure the park is open on the day you intend to visit.10 sites with water views and main attraction is Sapphire Fossicking. Campers must be self contained - bring everything you need and leave no trace.

Disappointing stay.

The host was quick to respond and very helpful. Unfortunately the details of what was available was a bit misleading. The camping area was 1.4km down a very rough track in scrub field. Caravans were not able to reach the river and no camping near the billabong so we're stuck in a field. The fossicking was not open and later found out that youbhad to bring your own equipment. All this made for a disappointing stay.

Beautiful property. Good camping facilities and camping areas. Directions to campground were clear and easy to follow. We enjoyed our time here and wish to return. I give credit to the people who run this property they maintain and run a wonderful facility for all of us to enjoy. Fossicking fishing and just enjoying the outdoors. Thank you Steve and Rhonda
