Such a lovely place! Very secluded and quiet, but not a bad drive out to Banff. We enjoyed getting a visit from the cows each morning. The mosquitoes were bad, but other than that I’d return. We wished we had more nights out there.

This was truly a unique experience. We haven't been camping for a few years, and this was a step above our usual camping experience. I particularly liked that we didn't have to haul all our equipment and set up a tent. Sleeping in the cabin was also significantly more comfortable than sleeping in a tent. The site is well-equipped and even has a shower. The cows provided us with some good entertainment, and the wide-open space allowed us to see so many stars.

My husband and I loved camping at The Bend! James and Sheila are so welcoming and friendly. The site is beautiful and quiet, lots of privacy and surrounded by nature. We were nervous as it was our first time coming to a place like this to camp, but the instructions to get here and around the ranch were very detailed and helpful. We had a great time checking out the lake, and did a short hike up to The Ridge for an awesome view. We met many curious cows around the area and loved listening to them moo from our site! Everything about this site was awesome. Thank you to James and Sheila for sharing your beautiful property! We will definitely be back.

Took my 3 year old camping for the first time and he loved it!
Very quiet, private, and relaxing!
Had some curious bovine visitors that needed a little persuading to move on, but all part of a memorable experience. :)

The cabin was amazing and quaint! James was very helpful and very nice. We had a great weekend down canoing on the lake, by the fire and sitting on the porch watching the cows. Very quiet, would go back in a heart beat ! Thanks James!

Would love to be back and enjoy the views. Host was a lifesaver! My rental RV battery died as I accidentally left the odometer lights on overnight. He came and helped me jumpstart. Really appreciate it! 🙏🙏 thank you so much!

We had such a great stay at the North Creek site! Instructions were super clear for finding the site, compost toilet was clean and set up well - firewood, drinking water and wash water were also super handy. Would definitely recommend for a quiet and lovely escape from the city!

Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful piece of land, the cows were super cute and it was fun watching them wander through. The cabin and bunkhouse are great! Cute and cozy, would recommend anyone wanting to have a weekend away from the city.

This was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed! The land is beautiful, the site is private, and James made sure we had everything we needed shortly after we arrived. I’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling through this area!

Really cool spot out on this ranch. Directions James gave are very straight forward. Having a greeting of free range cattle and their little was a fun touch. I wonder if James trained them to be greeters. The host, James, was quick to answer questions online before the booking and quick to reply to inquiries. The Bend is a very large size camp site. The added touches that are there upon arrival of the precut fire wood, an axe and a small hatchet for make kindling and two large jugs of water for dishes, etc was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Nice big fireplace and a picnic table at the site too. Beautiful area and scenery and a nice quiet place to be. Thanks James! The Bend is a great camp site. I appreciate you sharing your land with me!

James was great! The cattle made a mess!! Near the fire ring and picnic table . Jamems answered our phone call right away. James came out to remove the mess and cover it up.
It is important to know that the site is a good distance on an unpaved and hilly road. It is a very quiet location. No problem for a pickup truck.
This may have not been the best for us since we didn’t have a pickup truck or a larger camper, but it would be great for others.

Our Gordon Setter loved the walk to the lake! She met three cows and left them alone. It was really muddy but it had recently rained, let alone a huge thunderstorm the night we were there. We would return if we ever find ourselves in the area. James was very accommodating which we really appreciate.

We really enjoyed our time at the bend. The firewood was stocked and the camping was great fun. The isolation was amazing and the cows added a fun element. The outhouse was very clean and tidy. We even went for a canoe on the lake which was so amazing. Would definitely come back.

We had a great time on James's land! We rented the cabin plus the bunkhouse for a family of 6 (it probably would have been too tight with just the cabin). Cows and calves were so cute; one morning we woke up to moos. We picked berries, hung out by the fireplace, rode our bikes, went fishing in the pond, and went on a long hike up the ridge to enjoy beautiful views. The property is remote but very convenient--equal distance to Banff/Calgary.

James provided excellent communication prior to our arrival and worked with us due to a heavy rainfall to switch sites to accommodate our tent trailer. The site was beautiful despite the rain and was prepared with wood, water, and a very well kept composting toilet. I'd love to visit again with clear weather.

Very clear directions and excellent communication leading up to our stay. We had no problem at all finding the site, which was well stocked with water and firewood. It was definitely a little wet and muddy, as it’s been raining off and on for days, but you can’t control the weather! Just bring boots and be prepared if it’s been raining. Loved seeing the cows on our way in and out.

James' cabin and bunkhouse were perfect for a family hangout. It was a great place to be together. We loved the walk to the lake and the dry places from which to watch the weather. The covered porch was our favourite. Next time we'll have to stay longer and hope for drier weather to enjoy more of the site. Thanks for hosting us James. We truly appreciated your hospitality!
