East Coast Newfoundland Cottage & Cabins

2. East Coast Newfoundland Cottage & Cabins

48km from Hawthorne Cottage National Historic Site · 1 site
We sit on a rock, as does all of Newfoundland, overlooking a creek fed by Bauline Pond which releases into the rocky beach next to our property. We are protected by a rocky hillside under which we walk to the beach 30 feet away. We have views of Bauline Harbour, and an active working harbour with 2 commercial fishing boats, one island/whale boat tour and lots of local fishing boats - when fishing is open. We are at the cultural center of Bauline, a hamlet of fifteen houses, a wharf, a pond, and on the East Coast Trail. Just beyond on Bauline Pond there is an excellent restaurant FORAGER and a hotel, Cliff's Edge Retreat. We are at the heart of Irish Loop or the Southern Shore and a very convenient to go North (St John's @50 minutes), South (Trepassey @1:15), West (Dildo @1:15), Ireland (@5 hours).
