Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. River flats 1 is on the smaller side compared to the other sites we offer however what it lacks in size it makes up for in location, right on the bank of the king river under the shade of some beautiful trees. This site will accommodate all camping set ups from caravans to tents and swags. This campsite has a firepit and access to the amenities including a flush toilet and hot shower and well as space and a sink for dishes. Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites.

Robinia forest is by far one of the most secluded site on the property set at the far end of the property under the shade of the of the Robinia trees set right on the banks of the river this site can accommodate 15-20 people suited to all forms of camping set ups from caravans to tents and swags. This site is designed for those that are more self sufficient as there is no access to the amenities however, we do offer portable camp toilets contained in an ensuit tent for a small fee. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Bush camp 1 is one of the biggest sites that we offer here at Riverside King Valley, the site is set 50-60m from the bank of the river although there is a option to be closer to the water it is a smaller area and not as shaded, the main part of this site is set under the shade of the beautiful Paulownia trees with a large flat grassed area suitable for all camping setups. This site is suited more for those who are self-sufficient as there are no amenities on the site. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Bush camp 3 is another one of our larger site accommodating large groups of between 30-40 people this campsite offers options there is a smaller space close to the rivers edge with a grass area as well as sand and rock areas and a larger area on the back side of the main track that is a large open area surrounded by beautiful tall gum trees, you can chose to use one part of the campsite or the other or both parts for larger groups, keeping in mind that the main track runs through both parts of the campsite so long weekends there will be traffic going past to other campsites on the property. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites.

THE BEST camping experience!! Big thank you to Daemon and Sara for being amazing hosts. They were super helpful and polite, providing firewood and kindling when we needed it, and having accessible and clean toilets and a shower. We stayed at Site 1: River Flats, which has direct access and views to the river and it was beautiful. We had heaps of space and were pretty isolated from others. We highly recommend this campsite and we will be back again in the future. A big thank you again!

We recently stayed at Riverside King Valley for a tent camping trip, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The standout feature is definitely the location. Being right by the river makes it incredibly peaceful, with the sound of flowing water and beautiful natural surroundings. It’s a great spot to unwind, especially if you enjoy simple outdoor living. There’s plenty of space for tents, so it doesn’t feel overcrowded, and you can usually find a nice private patch. The facilities are fairly basic, but that’s part of the charm if you’re after a more authentic camping experience. Everything was generally clean and functional, though don’t expect luxury amenities. It’s a good idea to come prepared with your own gear and supplies. We also appreciated how family-friendly and relaxed the atmosphere was. It felt safe, quiet, and perfect for a weekend escape. Nights by the campfire and mornings by the river were highlights. Overall, Riverside King Valley is a lovely spot if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. We’d definitely consider coming back for another camping trip.

This is a wonderful place with a bonfire, a stream, public facilities, a bamboo grove where you can pick bamboo shoots, and you can also go fishing. There are electrical outlets here, and the landlord is very kind.

This was our third visit to Riverside. We love it here. The kids always choose to come back here. Love that we can have firewood at the site when we arrive and our own toilet set up for us. Also love the location- proximity to the wineries Daemon and Sara are great at communication and the sites are well spaced out.

We love staying here! Was our 2nd year in a row over Easter. The trees are beautiful this time of year and the cool nights spent around the campfire were spot on! Daemon is always so welcome and happy to see campers arrive. A beautiful site on a beautiful property. We will be back as always.

We booked a powered site but unfortunately had no power during our stay, which was disappointing. The toilet facilities were in poor condition and not well maintained. The reception area also looked more like a junkyard than a welcoming space. That said, it wasn’t all bad. Our site right on the river was genuinely lovely—spacious, peaceful, and with no one right next to us, which made for a relaxing setting. There’s also a great nearby café that we really enjoyed. Overall, it left us with mixed feelings. The location has a lot of potential, but the facilities and upkeep need attention.
