Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. We had a fantastic stay at Riverside Camp Site at Moorabool Ridge Vineyard. The location is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Amy and her husband were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome, which made us feel comfortable straight away. Communication was easy, and they were genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The campsite was clean, well maintained, and spacious. The washroom was fresh and clean, and perfectly maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. A special mention to Gracie, the Golden Retriever — she is incredibly friendly and made our stay even more memorable and enjoyable. We absolutely fell in love with her, and she truly added a special charm to the experience. We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming, and memorable camping stay. This is the best place we have ever stayed. It’s easy to access and very private. The gardens are beautiful and the camp kitchen very well set up. But the best bit is the beautiful bath/shower looking out into the gardens. We also saw 3 lovely little ringtail possums in a tree. I hope to come back and stay longer next time. Great cozy little spot for us fair weather campers. It was a perfect spot for my two city kids, 3 & 9 yrs old. A simplistic night away. All cooking utilities supplied. Just take your bedding. Easy! The kids loved feeding the goats and lighting the small camp fire. Literally a 2 minute drive to Kinglake servo for some basic supplies.

Paperbark was a wonderful peaceful retreat with great facilities. Amanda was very responsive to messages and super friendly when we met her at the site. Everything was clean and so well maintained. We loved all the quirky little areas. We don’t live far away so will definitely be back with friends and family. This was the perfect antidote to the Christmas crazy laying under the shade of the oak tree !
