Tranquility Central can be reached from both Rosedale (coming from Melbourne), or Sale coming from the East or North. WARNING! if traveling either of these roads at sunset, after dark, or early morning, you WILL encounter wildlife (especially kangaroos) on the road, it is best to avoid these times if possible, if not please travel slowly with great care. e have 1/4 of an acre of slightly undulating coastal land with level sections for tents, and self contained caravans or campervans. Please read the full property description and adhere to the rules as stated. MUST be self contained, no toilets available on property There are two very large farm gates allowing drive through access for single axle caravans and camper trailers, large vans can back in the West side gate allowing awnings to be opened on the East (beach) side. Room for two vans in various configurations depending on sizes. Both gates should be opened inwards by lifting slightly. The fences are rural 4 strand barbed wire on star pickets, (cow fencing), please consider this if you have dogs. (To be replaced with plain wire in the future). NOTE! ticks are found all along the East coast of Australia and can be very harmful for dogs in particular, you can find all the information you need regarding ticks and dogs here: https://www.australiawidefirstaid.com.au/resources/australian-tick-identification-chart Personally we never had a tick on our dog (or ourselves in over thirty five years of camping at Paradise Beach, but we would recommend restraining dogs from from wandering through heavy bush etc. Please keep the gates closed at all times, the East gate has a pedestrian "Knob and Chain" access latch. Property is close enough to the beach to hear the surf. Plenty of shade trees. Limited potable tank water available for cooking, drinking, washing up etc. The key to tap on tall tank is attached to gate keys. The onsite caravan and amenities are not for public use. Unfortunately with all the bookings it is difficult to keep up with chopped and split firewood, (usually available in the tank halves), please do not burn any treated pine you may come across.. There is a large pile of unsplit firewood under the trees in the middle of the block for your use, please do not burn more wood than you really require. Campfires must ONLY be lit in the fire place provided, nowhere else on the property, (see pics). NOTE. Fires for cooking or warmth are allowed in Victoria even in Fire ban areas, but NOT on days of Total Fire Ban. CFA Fire check: Can I light a campfire? NOT unless: The wind is less than 10 km/h. This means that leaves are moving around in the wind. A properly built fireplace of stone, metal or concrete. (provided). Never leave the fire alone. The campfire must be put out completely using water before you leave. Fishing: Good surf fishing for salmon, gummy sharks, whiting and flathead. Pippies can be gathered in shallow water. Tip: Using corks on leader rigs stops sand crabs stealing bait. It is a short walk to the beach, or you can drive if you really need to, (see map pic). A pleasant longer walk can be had by walking to the "Pines", in the National park, you can then either return the same way, or you can locate a track leading to the beach and return via the beach, (keep a sharp lookout for the track leading off the beach at the end), (see map pic with RED track). You can also walk the Veronica Maybury Memorial Reserve, shipwreck of the Trinculo. The Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park is at the end of 7th. avenue, large numbers of kangaroos can be seen there in the morning and evening, as well as at the end of Thirteenth Street on the edge of lake Reeve. Plenty of birdlife can be seen on the property including Blue robins, King parrots, Crimson Rosellas, and Yellow tailed Gang Gang parrots. 5 minutes drive from Golden Beach shops with fuel food, liquor & bait etc. There is a dump point at Golden Beach. There are coin in the slot hot showers at Golden beach. There is a bowling club at Golden Beach and a nine hole golf course, visitors welcome. The VMMR Licensed Bar & Bistro at Golden Beach is operated by volunteers in the Community Clubrooms Saturday nights. Come and set up camp for a few days on this private site at Paradise Beach.Campers will love the short walk to the beach, an established fire pit and access to (a small amount of) water from the provided tank. Please be economical with the water so there is enough left for everyone else.There is also a shelter shed which you are welcome to use to escape with wind, rain or sun. There is a cabin on the property which is not accessible.There are no facilities here, campers will need to be self sufficient and leave no trace. A short drive down the road you'll find a general store, a takeaway shop and great picnic areas.The property is located 3.5 hours east of Melbourne.Entry to the site is from a small driveway on the lower side of the property. "Bush Retreat Farm Stay" is a gorgeous little farm nestled on the fringe of the Alberton West State Forest, with views of Wilsons Prom and the Strezleckie Ranges. The state forest has many walking tracks that go on for miles, perfect if you want to go horse riding, motor bike riding or mountain biking or put on a pair of comfy walking shoes to hit the many walking tracks to take in the beautiful bush setting with the occasional wallaby or kangaroo darting out of the bush across your path. We have the Great Southern Rail Trail just on our door step. It has now been completed from Nyora all the way through to Yarram. We have on of the entrances off Lanes Road. Close to all local attractions - Port Albert, Port Welshpool long jetty, Woodside's beautiful 90 mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Parks, spectacular Agnes Falls and Wilson's Prom. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.

Easy access to site upon arrival. I had a few questions prior to booking and it was very easy to contact owner and have all my questions responded to very quickly. We all loved being so close to the beach able to hear the waves crashing front the campsite was quite relaxing. We will definitely be coming back for our next trip to paradise beach. Happy campers 😃

Enjoyable stay! It is a residential 'bush block' within the small Paradise Beach community. It's easy to access through either of the two lockable gates. We opted to have the back of the caravan to the neighbour's house, and open up out to the rest of the block which provided some privacy. The photos show the block quite green, at this time (end of summer, start of autumn) the central common area of the block is a bit of a mix between sand and dirt, the grass having left long ago. The back half of the block is beautifully grassed over, and has a heap of shade provided by the trees on the block. When the sun is out it provides an amazing escape and is really nice to sit under and read a book. If you have a swag or tent this would be the ideal area to setup. There's some small water tanks onsite, and there's plenty of firewood and a bbq, we didn't use either of those as the weather was quite warm. Walk to the beach is really nice, 50m up the street, over a ditch, through a 'bush tunnel' and out on to the beach. It's a really fun walk, our kids loved it and spotted the rabbits running around as we went to the beach. It provided a great base to setup and explore more of the area, including Golden Beach and heading over for swims at Loch Sport. If you're self-contained, it's an ideal spot away from the busier end of Golden Beach that seems to fill out over long weekends. Overall value, location, cleanliness, ease of access, communication from the hosts, 10/10.

Being lake side was great but there was no flat ground on the site so not premium in that regard. The tree cover was good and amenities were fine. The worst part was the noise after 10pm, both nights we were kept up till midnight and no one enforced the rules to shut them up.

It was so peaceful laying in front of the fire, hearing the rumbles of the ocean crashing onto the sand, even the bitter patter of leaves falling on the tent and the crackles of the wood as it burned was incredibly relaxing. My 2 small children enjoyed their first camping trip here and I felt received knowing the camp-site was secure and safe for them. Beautiful spot, will be back again for sure.

Nice little block not too far from the beach. Handy to have potable water there if needed, and the hosts were helpful over messenger. They also very generously let us stay an extra night for free as nobody else had booked in the following night. Great little spot to lay your head.

It was a nice spot on the water. Loved the herb garden and site was close to amenities block. So many cute dogs camping with their families. My only issue was that 10pm curfew was not enforced and people were using the camp kitchen late at night and other campers were loud and playing music at 11.30pm which was not ideal.
