Opening during Protea season for pick your own flowers and sheep feeding. Made up of 15 acres of working land and 35 acres of bush land. We have a 2-acre orchard with seasonal fruit available to be picked. ( Feb / March) The farm has over 100 king protea bushes and many other varieties of protea. Seasonal pick your own flowers too. ( Aug - Jan) Backing onto the national park and walking tracks. Jehoshaphat Gully, Shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track. Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West. We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm - Except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm - No market in January. Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy. Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. Excellent communication and really friendly. The fire pit was a good size and we loved the bench swing near the camp fire. Google Maps was able to find the location but Waze struggled with the dirt road. It was great to take our dog too and my daughter enjoyed feeding the goats!

My partner and I only stayed one night in our swag but had such a lovely time. It was great meeting the family and all the critters that call this island in the trees home. The property is easy to find and is in a great location to explore the surrounds. The two large sites spaced amongst the flowers were tidy and easy to access. Large fire pits great for a group to camp around in the cooler months. The proteas were out in all their glory and the ones we chose to take home made it all the way back to QLD and are still looking stunning weeks later! Thank you very much Tamara and family for a great night away 😊🌱

We wanted to get away for one night, and Tamara's farm was perfect for that. Lots of great nature walks nearby and Tamara's place was at the heart of what we had planned. Loved the goats and birdlife too. Would have loved to have stayed longer. And our dog loved it too.

Lovely spot, easy to find and plenty of room for our 5 caravans, 2 of which were 20ft in length. Peaceful and large grassy area. Tamara came to say hello to our group & talked about the local area & events. She was very welcoming. So nice to see the sheep & goats grazing in the paddocks. We had a choice of two large fire pits. Would definitely camp here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre. Being surrounded by such beautiful countryside, horses, roos and rabbits, it was beyond relaxing. We had a couple of great nights around the fire too. Jenny was the perfect host, taking care of us and chatting whilst our doggos played. Jenny's doggo, Whiz, is gorgeous. We'll definitely be back when we're exploring the Yarra Valley again. Highly recommended.

I had such a great stay here! The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by amazing views. Tamara was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to help me out. I couldn’t get up the mountain with my bike, so she kindly gave me a lift. Truly appreciated that extra bit of kindness. If you are thinking of doing a bike ride to this place beware there is a very steep hill you need to get through! Everything about the spot felt relaxed and welcoming, and you can tell it’s cared for by someone who really loves the place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a personal touch!

3 nights at Mountain Flower Farm

The day we rocked up, we were able to park in a spot sheltered from wind (super gusty day). From there, Tamara was a delight to talk to and our boys enjoyed playing with her son too. Unfortunately, our car ran off road one of the nights which had left us stranded without a car while it is in the shop getting fixed. Tamara was gracious and let us stay for as long as we needed to get back on track. On top of hospitality, Tamara had also helped us get in contact with someone to fix our car and made sure we were looked after well. The whole family is gorgeous and I sincerely hope they do well in life. The farm has goats and sheep which our kids enjoyed feeding and the proteas on the property are going strong and beautifully. Definitely recommend this place if you’re travelling thru the Yarra region.

My Mini Schnauzer and I loved camping at Kiernan. Jenny and team were super friendly. It was really lovely walking around seeing all the horses and nice and peaceful! There is an available fire pit for each camp too!
