Our pet friendly property is located in a quiet neighbourhood, easily accessible from the road (no 4WD needed) and ideal for swags, tents or campers. Enjoy the serenity! Bring your horses and your dog, bring your guitar, a good book, even bring a golf set and a bucket of balls. You will have 80 acres of stunning country all to yourselves. Only one booking taken at a time. No one else will be anywhere near! Self-contained campers only, please bring in what you need, and take all waste with you. Base price covers up to 8 people, with capacity capped at 12 people.  The land is characterised by rolling hills, covered by mostly open grassland, with patches of gum trees for shade, and a dam and creek. There's also a native eucalypt forest right across the road with miles of fire trails for walking and horse riding. In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Also, we do not allow hunting/shooting next door, if there is a group camping already.

Madge and Neil went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay at Afton Park. They were friendly and ensured amenities were clean and well stocked. Sites were lovely under the trees of their property and well distanced from the other sites, so was private. My dog absolutely loved her stay there as well, lots of space for her to explore around the site. Would definitely recommend!

Madge and Neil are fantastic hosts. They were kind and generous throughout our stay. They thought of all the creature comforts whilst camping- like a toilet, sink, running water, fire pit etc. Situated on a very spacious property with plenty of room for the kids. We will definitely be back 😊

We had a lovely stay at Madge’s place. Kitchen and toilet facilities were great and we loved how much space there was between us and the other 2 groups. Would definitely recommend.

Just got home today after 4 nights Wish it was longer!!!! The price is too cheap for the size of the land and the fact it has both power and water on site included As everyone says Clara’s sourdough and eggs are delicious Drop toilet - amazing I have already recommended this place to 2 friends - will let camping people know at work too Dog friendly too Caleb and Clara are lovely Will be back HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I loved camping in my van with my two dogs at Afton Park! Madge and Neil were so kind and helpful - nothing was too difficult for them. Literally the only thing I could say a word against was the mosquitoes, but they were only bad for one night and then they vanished! Nothing we couldn't handle 😄 A lovely quiet and peaceful stay, only 10 minutes from the beach. Could not recommend highly enough!

Madges Hipcamp is close to ocean grove/Barwon heads and much of the bellarine. Madge provided clean toilet facilities and a camp kitchen with sink and water, mozzie repellents, cleaning goods. There were rubbish and recycling bins, and fireplaces, one of which was stacked up with wood. The sites are huge and flat with nice shade trees around the outside of the field. There are only four sites to a very large area. Plenty of room to spread out.

This is a great spot for a weekend away from Melbourne with a pooch. It's easy access, plenty of shade, beautiful large clean dam for swimming. There are a few local cars that go by and I have heard a bit of shooting both times I've camped here. Apart from that, private, quiet and very pretty.

The place was right next to the National Park, so it was easy to access for walks. There was a lovely little walk along the creek too. The campsite itself was spacious and was great to have free wifi and power. Make sure you order the eggs and sourdough bread. They were absolutely delicious. Clara, the host, was lovely.

So easy! Close to Melbourne, toilet was spotless. Great walks nearby. Power on-site which we used for a kettle for ease of hot water. Clara’s sour dough was a great staple to our meals along with the eggs. Kids could explore the creek and national park nearby. Flat site with easy access to car boot. Ideal for those looking for a quick get away from Melbourne for a couple of nights, with kids, to get some easy nature time. With a few luxuries of a clean toilet and electricity. Thank you Clara and Caleb for your lovely welcome and friendly chat whilst letting us have our space.

Lovely peaceful location all to ourselves, next to National Park and walking trails. Friendly hosts providing an excellent facility including toilet, plus power and water if needed. Great option to purchase eggs, bread and wood for the large fire pit. Wonderful choice for our first time using Hipcamp!

We stayed at this campsite as a group of friends with our two dogs in our 2 campervans and had an absolutely fantastic time. The site was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The toilet was genuinely one of the cleanest campsite toilets we’ve ever come across! All the amenities were spot on, and the host was super responsive and helpful throughout. It was a peaceful and comfortable stay for both us and our two big dogs. We’ll definitely be recommending this spot to others and look forward to coming back again!

This is a brilliant location with great facilities. Excellent hosts. Right next to a national park at the end of a dead end road. Power and water with a compost loo. You can pre purchase firewood and treat yourself to farm eggs and wonderful sourdough loaf. Make sure you have a long power lead and a torch for the loo. We will be back.
