The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open parts and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon. Kangaroos, possums and echidnas also live here.
You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay (as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards).

We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Weekend Trip to Macedon Ranges Glamping with kangas
We had a fantastic time here! Jonathan and Jennifer were so lovely and welcoming, and do a mean vegan breakfast! The bell tent had everything we needed including board games, a coffee machine, and a mini fridge. There's also a table and chairs outside of the tent so we relaxed out there with a bottle of wine. We loved seeing the local wildlife that they care for too. Will be back again!

Weekend Trip to The Stables On Knox
We had a wonderful stay at The Stables on Knox!
We came to take maternity photos and the property was perfect – beautiful scenery, a cute cozy house, and lots of photogenic spots inside and out. The fireplace made it extra relaxing too 😊
Some things to note: the BBQ and pizza oven in the barn were quite dirty so we didn’t use them, and the coffee machine was broken. Also, we were woken up early by a possum scratching on the roof – a true country experience, but something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper!
Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Weekend Trip to Lalgambook Retreat
We recently stayed in Vanessa the Vintage Van at the beautiful Lalgambook Retreat over a long weekend, and while it turned out to be the wettest weekend imaginable, we had a truly memorable experience.
Perched on a picturesque property overlooking a serene dam, the van itself is absolutely charming—originally styled, incredibly comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. Despite the unexpected cold snap, our experience was warm and welcoming thanks to the wonderful hosts, who went above and beyond by providing extra blankets and a heater to keep us comfortable.
Although the rain kept us indoors for most of the time - when we weren’t navigating Daylesford - we genuinely enjoyed the peaceful, snug atmosphere and left already planning our return. Next time, we’re looking forward to making the most of the property, hosting a fire pit, taking nature walks, and spotting the local wildlife.
Vanessa is a little gem in a truly special setting. Highly recommend for anyone after a unique, restful retreat—rain or shine!

Had an amazing couple of days at Village Green. My partner, dog and I stayed in Glamper Wings for the Easter weekend and it was the most perfect place for us who had been wanting to disconnect from the busy and chaotic life in the city. We loved that the glamper came with everything we needed - a kitchen, smart tv, shower, etc. My favourite spot was the balcony - perfect for reading and having a glass of wine while getting yourself soaked in the quiet of nature. There was also a ridge walk trail we headed to from the site, and if there's something I wished we did differently is to get up early to do the hiking when there is more time before it gets dark. I loved knowing the history of the place where Village Green now stands on and seeing how the traditional owners of the land were acknowledged in some parts of the property. We wish to go back.

Weekend Trip to Macedon Ranges Glamping with kangas
I found this listing after some google searching for a glamping adventure for my partner and I during Valentine's day. The listing looked fantastic. Communication from booking was prompt and they were very helpful in letting me know what was provided.
Fast forward and the place was exactly as advertised. We went on a cooler day which was a nice way to spend the day inside from the elements (especially since they preheated the tent worrying, we would be cold).
The tent was cosy, with power and other amenities, all wrapped up in a charming decor. A separate, private bathroom was also provided.
We made ourselves a bbq and all utensils were provided. The optional tent-service breakfast was treat, with an order form and a number of delicious options.
We got the opportunity to spend some time with the hosts as they showed us how they run their wildlife reserve for roos. We even got to see some roos up close and personal from a respectable and safe distance.
The hosts had a lot of insight to share not only on kangaroos but other nearby sites worth a visit while you're in the area. They are lovely to chat with so it was a blast!
Overall if you are looking for a nice getaway with a touch of creature comforts, I would highly recommend this place.

This was such a cute spot! Gorgeous sheep were a huge hit ♥️ well stocked kitchen with lovely supplies. Very generous number of towels and the beds were so comfy. Lovely stay we are already talking about returning no bad notes at all!

We had an incredible stay here and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s one of my favourite places I have stayed this year, and I work in luxury travel :) The accomodation is beautiful, high end, luxury and included great amenities such as organic beauty products, a delicious breakfast hamper, nice towels and linens, laundry facilities, fully stocked kitchen, pizza oven, books, blankets, etc. My kids loved the friendly sheep and feeding the horses carrots. It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, and my only complaint was I wish we could have stayed longer than two nights!
