1 night at The Sheltered Glamping Co.

What an incredible dog-friendly glamping gem! Just a short walk to the beach and winery, yet it still felt wonderfully secluded and peaceful. We loved the thoughtful touches—like the coral reef-inspired light shades and rustic timber tables. Having access to showers and toilets was a huge bonus, especially on chilly winter nights. Our pup absolutely loved it too—such a perfect swap from our usual sluggish Sundays for something special. The abundance of wildlife was a highlight; wallabies wandered nearby, unbothered, and the variety of big birds kept our dog entertained from a safe distance. The well-stocked kitchen and utensils made it super easy to enjoy a spontaneous getaway without packing the whole car. And the hot tub under the stars? Just magic. We adored this place and can’t wait to return in summer with friends, family, and all the doggos!

Weekend Trip to Sommerleigh

Such a beautiful setup we had so much fun staying at this spot. Amazing views/landscap and the cabins are all so beautiful. The site has been set up in a really cool way. Super cosy sleep with the indoor fireplace. Great location and lots to do locally. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be heading back soon

Weekend Trip to Bay Park Adventure Centre

We had our 7 year olds overnight birthday camping trip here with a couple of his friends, absolutely loved it. Great location close to Melbourne, fantastic facilities and loads of things to see and do throughout the park. Met the staff who were very helpful and threw in a fireplace for free, thanks Michelle! Great to see Scouts Australia using Hipcamp for bookings, they’ll be full in no time. Will definitely be back again, thanks again!

This place was perfect for me, I small swag, gazebo and my ute. Looks like there is HEAPS of space for other setups. Great shower/bathroom facilities. Very quiet at night. I’d be interested in staying in one of the train carriage accomodations one day. I’ll be back for sure.

A beautiful peaceful campsite with stunning views over the Yarra ranges. Plenty of space on the campsite with an area for a campfire (weather and regulations permitting). We were right by the donkey paddock and they were more than happy to have strokes and scratches. The resident dogs were also happy to have cuddles. Bathroom facilities are basic but flushing toilets and a hot shower plus a big sink for washing dishes. We had a fabulous 2 night stay and would definitely recommend.

We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer. Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments. Day visitors are $20 per person, which incudes a donkey patting session. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. You can hopefully spot our resident platypus and kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats etc. There’s also abundant bird life including lyre birds and eagles. Explore all the Yarra Ranges has to offer including a short walk to Shiprock Falls. Grab a coffee or pizza in nearby Gembrook and checkout some farm produce from your hosts before you leave. We have added a composting toilet, a drinking water tank and a bush pole shelter with cold water kitchen sink, phone charger ports, lights and hot water to a private shower and a picnic table with seats under cover. We have an adjacent fire pit area with tree log seating. You can order firewood from us too and a Coleman gas cooker with gas bottle (see extras). Most of the materials are repurposed from another property or scavenged from our forest. We hope to see you soon.

The main room has a walk-through wardrobe with built-in large wardrobes and a small office nook to complete unfinished business. The ensuite has a shower as well as a corner spa bath, a vanity unit, and a separate toilet area. The upstairs open-plan living area is spectacular offering amazing ocean views throughout. Complete with a dining room setting for 8 guests, with four more bench chairs for extra persons. Relax on the 3 seater lounge and watch the Large LCD TV, sound system, DVD and Netflix. Another two lounges to curl up on and enjoy the Ocean view of Bass straight. The ultimate place to unwind and relax with a drink, read a book or merely sit back taking in the views. The beautifully appointed modern kitchen has absolutely everything one could possibly ask for, including a 4 burner electric stove and oven, a microwave, a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine. Also available is a coffee percolator and espresso jug for coffee enthusiasts. One of the major features of this property is the adjoining outdoor entertaining deck complete with an outdoor dining table, commercial grade Christie BBQ, and million-dollar views! another 3 bedrooms! Bedroom one (1) has a double bed, Bedroom two(2) consists of 2 bunk beds a single bunk as well as a king single bunk, all bunks have full slumber mattresses and are strong enough for adults to gently sleep on and in case of extra guests we have provided two (2) foam mattresses under each bunk. Bedroom three (3) has a Queen bed with lumber support sleep-easy mattresses, ocean views can be seen from the lower level but not as well as upstairs. All Bedrooms have built-in wardrobes with extra blankets and pillows for comfort for our guests. Also a centrally located bathroom with shower and toilet. The downstairs living zone is spacious and an absolutely fantastic area for the kids to play or for those wanting some peace and quiet, complete with a large smart TV Adjoining this room is a kitchenette with a microwave, small fridge, crockery, utensils, kettle, toaster, and coffee pod machine. This is perfect for a couple of families or couples sharing the house providing a fully self-contained area allowing the ultimate in privacy. It also has a laundry with a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, and ironing board. This property is truly unique, offering ocean views from the front of the property and then you step out the back into a tranquil bush setting. Hidden among the trees is an outside table entertainment area with a stunning swimming pool. Sea Paradise also offers reverse-cycle air conditioning/heating throughout. Plenty of parking with enough room in the driveway to park a boat and a number of cars. Other close must visit places are a 5-minute drive to St Andrew's Brewery, and 10 minutes to Rye Hot Springs. 5 min walk you will also find access to the breathtaking ocean beach.
